I stopped in about 15 minutes before they opened and they were kind enough to take me right away, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience wasn't great. I asked for a basic manicure with no color, but I left feeling disappointed. My nails actually looked worse than when I came in. They were scratched up with file marks, my cuticles were still showing, and my hands were never soaked in warm water like I've had done at other salons. One finger even ended up bleeding. When it came time to pay, I was also asked to tip in cash, which felt uncomfortable. I paid $20 and left feeling like I needed to go fix my nails somewhere else. I was the first time customer in for a pedicure. The technician they gave me was paying attention to everything around me rather than my feet. As I observe others , they were all focused on their clients. The technician seemed to be cut corners versus doing a full job. I left with partial callous removal on both my feet. When I was checking out , she came to the front desk waiting for her tip, which I wish I didn't leave. Only until I looked at the bottom of my feet.I see that they were not fully clean nor callous removed. I did send an email with no response. Very disappointing for her first time client. Couldn't tell you who the technician was because she didn't have a name Badge like the others in the place , and she seemed to be winging it. First of all, the shop was very clean, as the tools they used to file and trim our nails were sanitized and VERY clean. They had a quick form for me to fill out asking if I had any symptoms, etc. as soon as I entered and each pedicure chair was covered in a transparent plastic covering. I got a gel mani and regular pedi, and was sooo happy with how the mani came out! I actually couldn't get their names bc we spoke in korean but I had two different ladies do my mani and pedi. I showed her a few pics of what I wanted for my mani and they came out just like how I wanted. I actually didn't want any glitter on the ombré parts but she suggested it to make the gradient lines look less harsh and now I can't stop looking at them bc they're so pretty. Firstly , I made an appointment. When I show up ... He says I'm early . Ten minutes is not early . It's actually on time . But he claims they were very busy (a Saturday can be busy) .he was late ...we were seen late. Secondly , there was no calming ambiance to this place. No music or waterfall or TV . It is very bland . Thirdly , the girls kept giggling to each other and making eye movements while doing our pedicures plus another woman's pedicures. That's absolutely rude . What was the joke ? SMH The experience felt a bit rushed . And the pedicure is something I could have done at home . It wasn't amazing . For $25 it was meh. I give it to Jay for trying to talk to his customers and make them feel welcome because those two women don't give a crap. And in fact one of them looked so angry . She put the woman to sit to dry her toes and gives her ..her jacket and walks away to the next customer. I had to go turn the fan on for her . What kind of service is that ? I noticed they had regular customers who jay spoke to alot . But the rest of us just sat there in a silent salon feeling weird. Wow, what an amazing experience I had here yesterday!!! Jay and his whole team of manicurists were extremely welcoming, friendly, and professional. I came in on a Sunday (that's right... a nail salon open on a Sunday!) around 4:30 pm for a regular manicure and pedicure. There was a large group of women before me but Jay quickly got me to a pedicure station, turned on the massage chair, and began my pedi as the manicurists were finishing up on the group. Once one was available, they switched off and she asked plenty of questions to make sure I got the service I wanted. For a regular pedicure, you get a regular massage, a hot stone massage AND paraffin wax for your heels. What?!?! It was incredible. I then sat at a table for my manicure and Jay came over at least 4 or 5 times to give me a shoulder massage. He asked if I was okay with it before hand, which I found respectful and delightful. The manicurist took her time and her attention to detail was impressive. She was very sweet and made small talk, enough to make me feel comfortable but also quiet enough for me to stay relaxed throughout the experience. I cannot wait to go back again. The corners of the toes werent cut im almost getting ingrown tornails on half my feet which i never have had in my life, she forgot one big toenail to do the second coat i had to tell her, and it didnt last at all. Luckily I called same day to make an appointment, I definitely suggest you make an appointment, they have four stations for manicures and pedicures but only two ladies working ( at least at the time I was there). I went to Cozy about a week ago and it is so nice to see they are taking the virus very seriously. They take your temperature when you walk-in and have plexiglass between the technician and the customer as well as wearing masks at all times. You need to make an appointment beforehand because they only allow a certain number of people in the shop at a time. This is NOT the typical nails salon where the staff is always talking between them. In Cozy Nails the staff is always checking the customers, trying to know one in a professional and respectful way. It's been two weeks today and my nails are in perfect condition still, aside from natural growth, not even getting stuck in my hair yet (we all know this too well!) the pedicure consisted of hot stones, paraffin for your heels, and a warm towel to wipe extra lotion away.
