I wanted 2 inches cut off but then she suggested 4 which I agreed to. The problem was not the length she cut off but the hack job she did with cutting crazy layers in my hair. I went in with hair to the middle of my back and came out with hair to my shoulders which is fine. Unfortunately, she hacked away at my hair and created awkward and very short layers all over my head. Now it is impossible for me to wear my hair in a ponytail or a twist because of these layers--some are as short as two inches. And I showed her pictures of what I wanted which just had a face frame layer. Now that my hair is shorter it is frizzy and curly which only makes it even shorter. I actually want to cry when I look in the mirror now. And the kicker to all of this, when I go to pay, this awful haircut (no color) cost me $80!!! For a No frills salon next to a deli in Ho-Ho-Kus. Very disappointing and it will take months to grow out the damage.

He worked on the many knots on my neck and back. I had a full body massage for 80 minutes and it was so worth it.

I was at Araya Rebirth this past Saturday and received a Lavender Vegan Spa Pedicure/ Vegan Spa Manicure and a 30 minute foot Reflexology with the amazing wonderful Pam. Let me just say I have had numerous pedicures and manicures over the years, but I was definitely being cheated out. After experiencing Pam's pedicure it was pure heaven. She is fantastic. From the amazing smelling scrub, lotion and oil she used my hands and feet have never felt this smooth. She makes you feel like your on a cloud during the foot reflexology. If you have not tried the Vegan Spa pedicure/manicure with reflexology at Araya rebirth your cheating yourself out of an experience that is life changing. I will definitely be back for another Vegan manicure and Pedicure with Pam. I am on day 3 of her manicure and not one chip the Butter London nail polish's they have are amazing so many colors to pick from. Serene is an organic spa, which is NOT easy to find in Bergen County, although spas are a dime a dozen. Knowing that natural products are going to be put on your body was a huge selling point for me, and I could not be happier with my experiences at Serene. Entering Serene is like entering a really chic boho type boutique. There are items for sale ranging from skincare products, to bags, clothing and jewelry, most (if not all) made by women around the US, which I love. It truly is a peaceful way to begin the spa experience - or find a unique gift to pick up for someone. I've now gone twice for a facial, and both times have not booked a specific type of facial, I've asked Melissa for whatever she thinks will work best for my skin. She delivers beyond anything I could choose off the menu and is so knowledgeable about exactly what your skin needs to look the best it possibly can. Melissa explains what she's putting on your face at each step of the process, what the product itself is made of, and what it will help with in regards to your skin. Other than that, this is not a spa experience where you have someone who is constantly talking to you - Melissa works her magic and allows you to lay back and completely and totally relax. She is incredibly diligent with the extraction part of the facial as well, and even after my first facial with her, I noticed a huge difference in my skin that has now stuck over the months (it's even better following a second session, and I truly believe will just continue to improve). My facials have consisted of fruit peels (I believe a berry peel and then a grape peel at my most recent session), which smell delicious and WORK, though without the redness of a chemical peel that lasts for days following. The peels I have gotten are $85/session, and worth every single penny. There are other more basic facials as well that are a bit lower in price. Another thing I love about Serene is that there is no pushing of products on you - I always ask for recommendations on what I can buy to continue working on skin health, and Melissa is happy to make recommendations, but she also gives samples versus encouraging you to buy a full-sized product right off the bat. I did buy a softening chocolate mask that smells delicious (literally like chocolate) and works wonders ($20, and I've had it for 3 months at this point, with a ton stil left!). I will continue to frequent Serene because the experience is so peaceful, Melissa is so wonderful and personable, and I leave with a noticeable difference in my skin. Can't wait for my next session!

After two hours of microblading, I sat up and looked in the mirror; I was in total shock. Not only were my brows two completely different shapes, they were different heights. I looked crazy - My face looked completely lopsided. The woman who did it acted like it was no problem to fix. I laid down, trying to be calm and trust that it would be okay. 45 minutes after the allotted two hour time, I look at my reflection again... She went over the area she messed up on using a flesh tone that didn't even match my skin. Not to mention - the shape was still insanely off. She kept saying "I'm so sorry; I worked so hard. I'm so sorry." I was sick to my stomach leaving that afternoon. I left crying and the woman at the checkout barely looked at me. Come to find out she was the owner. I got my composure and took pictures of the work- sending it to as many places as I could, looking for advice. Almost all of them said that they couldn't help me- the work was so bad, it couldn't be corrected. I called my hair stylist and booked her right away the next day. I came in wearing my hat but one brow came down so low you could still see it! All the girls at the salon tried to console me - they were all shocked at how this could happen from a "professional." I left with heavy full bangs to cover them up. I did not want that haircut, but it was the best option I had. Finally, I got an email back from a woman who said she could help and that the only way to do that was tattoo laser removal. I have gone for one of the three sessions so far. They are $300 a piece. Aside from the expense, the removal is painful and it is going to take months to get back to myself. Exclusive Day Spa was absolutely abysmal when it came to rectifying the situation. They told me, "call back in a week," because the woman who gave the service was on vacation. They took days to get back to me, and when I sent pictures the owner told me she couldn't tell what the work looked like from them and that I had to come in in person. The salon was an hour drive and coordinating with her was a pain too. When I did come in, she had such an attitude. She barely looked at the botched job, never apologized, and acted like I was bothering her. She told me to sit and wait 15 minutes to see that woman who messed me up. She must have been screwing someone else's face up. I sat there livid. Finally she said- "Let me see it again if you don't want to wait." I showed her. Again. She then said, "Call Groupon. I can't refund you, they have to." I just stormed out. I drove all the way down there for that? Ridiculous. I got in touch with Groupon right away. At first they weren't going to refund me, but I pressed because it just wasn't right. Finally, they agreed to a refund and escalated the situation to avoid future issues for their customers. I am not one to leave a bad review. If Exclusive Day Spa had even worked with me I might not have... but they should not be providing this service as they are clearly unqualified. This is a serious thing to get wrong and it has caused me serious self-esteem issues. I feel stupid for even messing with my face and for going to this place to begin with. Lesson learned. Avoid this service here at all costs.

I've never had my eyebrows shaped more perfectly than the girls do here! They know and care! Their wax is amazing I am super sensitive and have never had a reaction. I've been going here for 5 years now and do not plan on stopping!!!
