I've been Sugaring probably for the past 15 years and I had an excellent aesthetician in Florida and then I moved to upstate New York, and I wanted to find someone that was equally as good here in New Jersey. I found Lotus Skin Care while doing some research on the web and call to make an appointment . I spoke with Secilia she answered all of my questions. She explained the location where they are, and the service that they provide. I made my first appointment with Secilia. I had the most amazing experience. Secilia is a consummate professional. She's friendly, inviting, and very personable. She puts you at ease and make sure that you're relaxed. She's also very communicative making sure that she understands exactly what your needs are. Every time I call Cecilia answers his phone and says hello Barbara, which adds such a nice touch a nice, personal touch. They offer many different types of Sugaring but I can say that each time Cecilia does it she does an excellent job. She talk you through it while she's Sugaring you and make sure that you're OK and also always ask if you have any questions. I would definitely recommend anybody that is looking for a new location or has never had a sugaring before and wants a new experience or any other services to check them out. It's an excellent location And the space is absolutely gorgeous. You walk it is calming, it's serene, and inviting. The decor is just absolutely beautiful.

I only went in to get my brows shaped and to even them out; but after she was done I asked her to fix a few things and her comments had a lot of attitude and I didn't feel comfortable asking her to change things. She knew I wasn't happy with them and provided me $6 off my $60 service which was not worth it to just get my eyebrows waxed for that price when no real "shaping expertise" was provided to me.

I had a horrible experience while here. For context, I have done Brazilian waxes at EWC many, many…read moretimes. I decided to try sugaring because I heard it hurts less. That was NOT accurate. It hurt worse than any Brazilian wax I have had. Obviously, that depends on pain tolerance. The girl who waxed me was not the owner (probably mid 20s). She told me to do all the normal positions and it seemed like she was doing a good job. I specifically asked if she got a spot (it occasionally gets missed) and before I even finished asking she interrupted and said yes. When I was done, and my knees were still open on the table (exposing me to the lobby), she opened the door yelled "done!" At me and left the room. There was still sugar stuck to me. When I got home I decided to check out the work. She missed MANY spots including the spot I asked about. Very unprofessional and rude. Will not be returning.

I really wanted to love this place, but unfortunately I was disappointed. I'm giving two stars…read morebecause my Sugarista was very nice and made me feel comfortable. That said, I didn't feel like she wasn't really listening to me. I specifically told her this was my third time sugaring, and shortly afterward she started explaining things to me as though it were my first time. It was a little frustrating because I had literally just told her I'd done this before. The bigger issue, though, was the actual Brazilian. Later that day when I got home, I noticed quite a few small hairs still remaining on one side. At first I didn't think it was a huge deal because they weren't very noticeable. But then I took a closer look and realized there were several long, dark hairs completely missed on the inner labia. For a Brazilian, that's a pretty significant area to miss. A few stray hairs wouldn't have bothered me, but this was much more than that. I really wanted this to be my new go-to spot, especially because the location is so convenient, but unfortunately the quality of the service just wasn't there. I won't be returning.

The facility is very pink lol. Not an obnoxious pink but it starts to close in on you after awhile. It's finally my turn and after sitting past my appointment time I assumed the wax would be warm and the table already cleaned off but nope. Anywho... to me, the application of the sugar wax was more painful than the ripoff. I'll definitely try this again because it did last a little longer than regular waxing.
