This is a great nail salon. Pedicures are great, especially with callous remover. Recommended!

Came here for a regular pedicure but with gel polish. I found it odd that she started painting my toes first before soaking them and scrubbing them and all the typical stuff they do before they paint your nails. I've never had a pedicure where they painted my toes first. Then after she was done painting she rushed through everything else. My feet were in the water for Maybe a minute and that was it. Then when it was time to pay they said because I got gel it was going to be $55! A normal pedicure is $28, so how is it that just because I get gel the price jumped to almost double?! Usually gel is only about $5-10 more. Horrible. read more

The worst experience ever! Today I went for a lip and brow wax. When I got home, the skin was ripped off my lip and under the brow! It looks so bad and I have a holiday party this weekend. I am calling tomorrow to speak to the manager. I suggest you NEVER use this salon, go elsewhere. read more

Second time going to this nail salon and unlike the first time this was not a good appointment. The same girl that did my toes also did my gel manicure and it is awful. I asked for her to file them square but kit too short and she left them pointy, the gel manicure is lumpy and she didn't cover all the corners. Although I arrived at 5:40 I didn't leave until 7:45 and she rushed towards the end once she realized the time. Needless to say I won't be going back... read more

Wanted to treat myself and asked for the exfoliating massage with my pedicure. The woman used regular cream that had no discernable exfoliating properties (which is what gives that nice "scratchy" intense massage that I enjoy) and only massaged my legs for an extra two or three minutes. I just figured that she forgot that I had asked for the scrub massage but then when I went to pay, they charged me an extra $15. ($45 total) I was confused and they insisted that I had been given the special scrub massage, but I didn't feel any difference and was not treated to anything special. Great nail salon ! Greeted by a super friendly and welcoming staff . Got a manicure pedicure and was pleasantly surprised at how great it was . Each If the nail technicians paid close attention to detail in pampering me , and doing a neat and clean manicure /pedicure . She even used hot stones to massage my legs during the pedicure . It was wrapped up with a nice mini massage while my nails and toes were drying . They were even nice enough to give me a pair flip-flops when I forgot mine at home ! My lovely sister, a self-less, hardworking, mother-of-two under 3, needed some TLC, so I solidified a sitter and scheduled us appointments for gel-manis and pedis at Daisy Nails. Normally, I know better than to get my nails done on a Saturday after 12pm but the opportunity to break my sister out if the house sans kids rarely presents itself. Of course, it was busy and the services were rushed, which I both expected and resented. As a result, my $30 gel manicure didn't survive the second week, so I'm a bit miffed. UPDATE: As I'm getting more familiar with YELP and gaining more experience rating local businesses, I've decided to be a bit more critical with my star ratings. Worst mani-pedi I ever had. They overly rushed through it all and cut my toenails and filed my fingernails so short it hurts and that they nail detached from the skin. I asked them to file my finger nails even, not to take them off the skin. For the pedi the women didn't even ask how I wanted them, she just cut them off, and not only they nail also part of the skin underneath the nail. Now, they day after, they are all red and hurts. The pedicures are amazing. They are a bit on the expensive side, but worth it. The technicians are thorough, and you get a hot stone leg massage and parafin treatment included in the cost. Manicures really depend on the person and if they are in a rush. The end result is always nice, but I don't want to feel rushed when I'm doing something nice for myself, and appointments don't really carry any weight so don't bother making one. I enjoy the salon and have been coming for a long time. I think they just need to make sure that the manicure experience is as consistently nice as the pedicures. read more

Wasn't my first option, but the other place I found earlier it wasn't available. I'm SO HAPPY I didn't get my manicure in the first one, because I was able to find Daisy Nail Salon, they were so friendly and let me get a manicure without a previous appointment. They have so many different colors to pick from, and got a perfect Gel Manicure by Sean, he was very nice and did a great job. They even gave me a holiday gift even tho I'm not a frequent costumer. I used to love this place. The atmosphere is great, a charming little nail salon with a great cozy Parisian vibe that plays soothing jazz music. However, the ownership has changed and so has the staff. Sitting in the pedicure chair, I was literally watching the girls talking negatively about me. I look forward to Friday's because that's the day I go to Daisy's! I got a gel extension a few weeks ago, and I go every two weeks to refresh and change colors. I always go to Sylvia because she takes great care of me! The nails are always strong, and almost never break. I have tried other places previously but my nails break within a few days which can be very frustrating. I have confidence in the strength of my nails when I go to Daisy's! They have a variety of colors to choose from and always help me to find the best color. The pedicures are also amazing and very relaxing. I never feel rushed at this salon which I love because I have been to others that try to do my mani while I'm getting a pedi and make the experience less relaxing. Daisy nails did my nails a week and two days ago as you can see from the picture they didn't last very long not only did they charge me over $100 for this, the manager had the audacity to chase me out of the nail place after I had already paid and tipped to ask for MORE tip I was apalled when I originally asked them for this design they gave me an attitude and grumbled and complained the whole way through it stating they never wanted to do this again! Small yet charming with shabby chic decor, cozy chairs, relaxing music and special touches not to mention that the pedicure was fantastic!! It's a cute little place, but beware the parking is almost non-existent. I went here to get tips, gel. They do a great job, had all of the OPI and Essie stuff that I'm used to. The pricepoint was pretty good considering the usual for Ridgewood and the area is very high. The one thing I would have to say is that even though I had an appointment, I still had to wait, and the general management was not very organized. The place ran well, but was overcrowded and I don't think the space was used well. But oh well, that's for a designer to think about, I suppose, not me. Anyway, they did a nice job on my nails. I'd go back again, for sure, just not at such a busy time. But p.s. my allegiance is still to Karma in Ridgewood for regular manis and pedis, they are the best. I'm new to Ridgewood, and after a lot of heavy lifting and moving I was in need of some relaxation. I read reviews about several nail salons/spas in the village and decided to try Daisy Nail Salon because it sounded like the best value for money. I will definitely be going back. Prices were very reasonable ($10 for manicure and $25 for pedicure). The salon staff are very busy but super friendly. The best part about this place is the pedicure because it's unlike any other regular pedicure you would get at other salons. You sit in a massage chair and let your stress melt away while the staff work away. They also do paraffin on your heels, which is something other salons don't do. If you want a relaxing quick mani pedi then look no further. read more

Very disappointed! I have been coming here for a few years already, but as more I go as more the place gets worse. Went today with a friend, for her it was so fast!!! For me it took them forever, and they did it so bad that she was mad! The manicure ladies are not nice and don't do a good job, and if you ask them to do something they don't want to or do it with such a drag! My nails were badly polished and the feet were not cleaned properly, I had to go home and fix it! They didn't not clean the pedicure place and didn't use a clean set of tools, I hope I don't get a fungus! I think this was my last time coming here! There are many better places in the area! You would expect much more from a place in RIDGEWOOD! And I don't know how yelp works but at first this place has good review, but after you see the ones they hide, you see that everyone saying the same bad things about place! I really feel the quality of salon has gone downhill. Their pedicures really used to be the best around. Now they are just very expensive for not much service. To pay $30 for a french manicure and not really get any callous or dry skin removal is a bit ridiculous! This place is great! They file my nails exactly how I like and don't go too short. She used a disposable nail file during my pedicure and the hot stone massage felt sooo good. I thought it was neat how she squeezed a piece of an aloe plant onto my skin during my manicure. If you pay cash they'll give you a 10% off coupon for next time! read more

I love going to daisy! They graciously agreed to let me go in for an emergency pedicure even though they were near closing time. They are extremely friendly and always remember your name if you become a regular. They also provide shoulder massage when you are drying your nails. My sister recommended Daisy's. She had a wonderful experience. For a manicure and pedicure $35 bucks and they lather oatmeal on your legs and place lemons on top... Me and my two other friends went, however our experiences were awful. The lady who did my pedicure did a wonderful job but no oatmeal and lemons. The lady who did my nails decided to use a file on my top of my nails, which caused them to become bridle. Her technique was to push back my cuticles and paint my nails. After a couple of days my cuticles came back and she should have cut them. The other lady who did my friends nails ended up cutting up her cuticles so bad she was bleeding for hours after. Be aware if you want a good manicure I would reconsider going to Daisy's. read more

I've gotten mani pedis in several other nail salons that I trust. However, I decided to try somewhere new. I had seen this salon in my town quite a few times and it appeared to be quaint and charming. It was a bad idea. Keep in mind I had called in before to make an appointment. I go in during the week of Easter. The room is quite small, so you must stand while you wait. There are people just coming in standing and waiting at random to get their nails done. I had to wait extra time and the experience was awful. The woman who did my nails cut me while trimming my cuticles. She didn't apologize. I got an inffection. The mani pedi itself was uneven and a bit streaky. This was unforgivable since they use only OPI and Essie which are good quality nail polishes. The train wreck costed me $30. Not doing it again and I highly recommend any of the other 6 nail salons in Ridgewood. read more

Expect a very long wait if you go on a weekend. There is one seat for waiting customers and not that much room to stand. It's also a pain to drive around ridgewood and try to find parking and pay for a meter. It's not the most convenient location. When they are busy,expect to have yur manicure done in less than 15 minutes. Very rushed. I also used to think they were clean as they do use new utensils out of a packet for each client, typically, until one technician tried using nail clippers on my fingers that she just used on someone else's pedicure, which I proceeded to tell her that I would not have her use those on my hands. I will never go back to this nail salon. I started going there after a few friends recommended it. They used Michael and did the gel nail polish which always looked awesome. He did a great job! Then, he left and the owner did my nails. She rushed, didn't completely remove the old gel polish before applying the new and for $40 left my nails bumpy and looking awful. She put the gel on so thick and unevenly that she was damaging my nails. Two days later I went somewhere else had them buffed down to be smooth. What she did damaged my nails not to mention cost me extra money. I'm new to the area and have been very loyal to my old nail salon but it just wasn't worth the travel anymore. I yelped this place and decided to try it out and was very pleased. My old nail salon was only $18 for a pedicure so when I saw this place charged $25, I was a bit hesitant, but in the end, it was well worth it. They do a great job at cleaning your feet and toes and spend a lot of time massaging your feet and legs. They use lemon and honey and end the pedicure with hot stone on your legs and feet. They also put some type of warm oil on your heels to make it softer. The place has a very cute rustic decor and they are very nice and accomodating. Definitely worth checking it out! read more
