Went in for a full set acrylic. Prices were not on the wall and I was quoted $70 with a 'student discount'. Seemed like a huge rip off but I promised my 13y/o the gift of nails for the 1st day of school. The whole process was done quicker than my pedicure, a record 30 mins or less. They looked a little meh but only something we would notice. Exactly TWO DAYS!!! later one nail popped off and 3 others were peeling up. We went back and she fixed 5 nails total for free, one nail looking wonky af but at this point, I just wanted to be done with it. Once we walked in the door of our house ANOTHER nail popped off. Went back and it was fixed. One week later ANOTHER nail popped off and another is peeling up. Clearly they did not clean off the oil or something. Claimed it was because she had thin nails... She's had acrylic before with no problem. I think it was because after we sat down they got really busy and blew through her nails. I am also a little angry I left a $15 tip. Honestly, when we went back to show her the damage the first time, I wanted a refund but she pulled my daughter to the chair and immediately began working. I feel bad leaving such a bad review but their work was horrendous. Will never come back. read more

Worst experience ever. Took my 5YO with me for a kids mani pedi and had a reg one myself. Super rushed, trying to rush me in the seat while leaving my child waiting by herself in the front. No one acknowledged her or tried to help her into the seat etc. She is 5, I paid for a kids service which is still $30. She likes rainbow nails so picks a color for every finger. The lady was so bothered by this she said it was $10 more. Why?? She's not using more polish and it's not taking any more time. With me, I was choosing between two colors and they rolled their eyes and were clearly bothered. I had to ask them to put my daughter under the dryer which they also didn't want to do. I have taken her to many nail salons and this was by far the worst experience ever. Worst $110 ever spent and we will never go back. read more

Well... I generally don't like writing bad reviews but here is why I have to. I came in requesting to have an acrylic set removed. I spoke to one woman who translated it to the woman who was to do my nails. My nail tech looked at the nails, flipped my hands over to examine and then said "cut nail". I said yes remove acrylic set, she said no and repeated cut nail. This went on for a few minutes and I grew confused b/c she's saying the same thing plus things I can't understand b/c she's speaking in another language. I think it was Korean but I'm not 100%. Either way I didn't understand. The one who speaks a bit more English came over and explained the nail tech wants to clip the acrylic down to my natural nails since they had grown out a bit. I agreed. The issues ensued after. She clipped and then started with the drill tip to shave down the acrylic. She started going too fast and the sander would jump from my nail to the skin and I would pull back my hands as this hurts. She pulls my hands back, says something and continues. I explained to her to go slower so she has more control/precision to stay on the nail and NOT on my skin above. That fell on deaf ears. It happened over and over again until I pulled both hands away from her, paused and explained yet again to not go over my skin with the sharp shaving metal peace. The translator came over and I expressed the concern. The relayed the message and the nail tech said sorry and got back to it. And we went back to the same thing of her going too fast and hurting my skin. I was beyond frustrated by that time. The one star comes for the painful results. She shaved down not only the acrylic but also my natural nails so much, you can see how thin the nail is and how close it is to the nail bed. My fingers are red and everything is brittle. It hurts to hold anything tightly with my fingers b/c I barely have any fingernails to protect the nerves. All of this is a result of not listening to my concerns. It's like she didn't care how it came out or how it would make me feel. She just wanted it to be over with. That's terrible customer service. I live in NYC so I've seen all types of customers & service ppl. Lack of attention & disregard for the customer is what makes it bad customer service. Under new management, not good anymore. Used to love this place. However, there was a sign posting new management. I've gone twice since then and have been super disappointed. It was overcrowded, rushed, and my nails did not last. Some of the regular workers are there, but the consistency that used to be there isn't. What a shame, look elsewhere! read more

I went with my mom to get a UV gel fill in and a new UV gel set, to remove my moms prior powder nails they charged her $40, for anyone who doesn't know $40 is the cost most places charge for the whole process in the first place. I had been going to get my nails done and I thought they did a great job, until two of my nails chipped to no fault of my own and I was charged $20 to fix the two nails. Usually this wouldn't be such an issue that it would warrant a negative review; but my main issue is that they do not warn or advise you of the additional charge prior to doing the job. They wait until till everything is complete and you have no choice but to pay for what was done. They do a great job, but they are not transparent with their clients. read more

Very disappointed in my last visit. The tech for my pedicure rushed through the process. Honestly, it was as though she could hardly wait to finish with me and get on to the next client. Not at all relaxing. And my manicure has not held up. I couldn't help but notice that she failed to brush the top edge of my nails with the topcoat as usual. The place itself is very nice - super clean, and great color choices. They had a lot of cute decorative nail choices. I picked my color and asked for a gold sparkle gradient (like one of their technicians had) and the woman told me she could only do my ring fingers. So I said fine and went with just the ring fingers for my glitter. When done, the red color wasn't solid (it was really patchy and probably could have used another coat) and there was barely any glitter - plus there was gel nail polish all around my nails. I have continued to go there for several reasons, including the quality of workmanship, the cleanliness of the salon, and the friendliness of the owner, Lily, and her employees. Over the years I have come to know Lily and Jennifer (in particular) very well. They adore my children, and since they were babies they have always welcomed them in the salon. I like this salon but really wish they didn't have those spa chairs with the jets for pedicures - they put a liner in the bowl part but I'm not sure how clean It can be as germs/nails get stuck in the vents/piping for bubbles and can leave you with a nasty infection so I don't trust these things). They do have a small selection of 3-free polishes that last longer than Essie/opi but there's an up charge for them. The technicians are good with application of the polish - the nails are neat and shiny at the end. One of the techs had a wart on her hand and that really made me panic so I have yet to come back - when I do I'll make an appt with the owner. read more

Very clean. They use plastic lining in the pedicure bath which I love so my feet don't touch the actual bath. Very nice pedicure overall.
