I'm visiting from out of town and ended up going here. I went in for Greek manicure and loved the experience. The tech who did it was careful and detailed, fixing her mistake while I was there. Unfortunately I didn't see the other flaw until I got home and decided not to go back. They have a good selection of colors with affordable prices. The place is clean and well kept. I went there twice, the service is better than okay. They seem loyal to their regular costumer and seem to prioritize them. Here is my experience: The first time was good. I went second time. They try to rush me into picking the color, I didn't mind. Then I started with pedicure. A new costumer walked in and needed a pedicure so she left me half way through to Athens to the new costumer. But someone else took over (the front desk person). This person also did my manicure but skipped so many steps such as soaking your fingers in the water and removing the cuticles from the edges. So basically she started putting nail polish on my dry nails right away. I honestly didn't have the energy to tell them how to do their job, so I let it be. Last thing was cherry on top. She charged me for my manicure and pedicure, which is fine. Then I gave cash tip. She asked me "is this only for me or both of us." I find this ridiculous that you want me to tip both of you. I said both and left. It's better to keep the costumer coming by providing a good service instead of worrying about petty tips. read more

This has to be one of the worst customer experiences I have ever been witness to. My girl and I walked in without appointments and asked if they could do two manicures. The manager, Kim, said yes. They called me first and within a half hr, I was done. Instead of taking my girl next, they chose another walk in customer. We found it odd, but assumed she had already been waiting. They then proceeded to do this with two more walk in customers. All serviced while my girl and I sat in bewilderment. After the third person, I had enough and asked what was going on. They stated that they were very busy! This story wouldn't mean much if it weren't for the fact that my girl is a woman of color and this was clearly a racially motivated snub. We were both shocked and quite in awe of the fact that this would happen in a town like closter, but I guess racism holds no bounds to geography. Lastly, Kim also yelled at the Latina woman that worked there, in a rude and aggressive manner and in front of customers! Absolutely disgusted by their actions, and this place. Tried here for the first time because the other nail salon that I went was closed. I'm glad I did because it had a friendly environment and all of the staffs were nice! Went in to get my uv gel taken off and just get regular gel. She tried to talk me out of it because it was late. I wanted them off. She had no time so sent me to the woman in the next station. The lady refused to take the rest off. Then just put color over. Best part. I went to pay and she charged me 15$ extra dollars for extra "file". They look disgusting. When the owner comes in tomorrow I will be sharing my nails. And they will do them over. I'm very upset. This place used to be a favorite. They have gone down hill. read more

I decided to get a gel manicure with my favorite character as a design, Winnie the Pooh. This is my favorite place to get my nails done! I've been going here for years, and while they might not exactly know me by name, they definitely know me 'cause the manager always asks how my mom is and remembers what I last did (college, travel, some job, etc). I usually just get a manicure and pedicure, which are both always done very neatly and include nice feet/leg/hand massages. Manicures are $10 (French is $12) which is the going rate in Closter, and the basic pedicure is I think the same in the rest of the salons as well. I used to get my eyebrows waxed here, but recently moved on to threading which they don't do. They always did a good job, and if they start to offer threading I would give them a try. The last time I got a manicure was about 9 years ago, so I didn't know what to expect when I walked in. But with the help of the awesome staff and the cute ambience, I had a great experience here! When the lady asked what shape I wanted my nails, I was very confused and they were more than happy to pick a shape that best suits my nails and I love how my nails came out. DO NOT COME HERE!!! Worst service ever. I had never been treated so rudely before. I am an 18 year old high schooler, so of course they thought they could take advantage of me. They prioritized older customers and did their pedicures before mine even though I was there 15-20 minutes before them (they did not have an appointment). I spoke up and said that I was here first and she proceeded to tell me that someone else will do my pedicure and I had to wait another 20 minutes. Just because I am young does NOT mean that I am any less than any other paying customer. Do not give your service to this salon. This is a review for the waxing. When we first walked into the back where we were to do the waxing, the lady seemed surprise with what I wanted (a Brazilian). Then she left the door HALF OPEN when i was undressing, which made me very uncomfortable. To make things worse, she called another lady in and had them both work on me at the same time. Never felt so uncomfortable in my life, and have never been in so much pain -- i've been getting a Brazilian wax for over a year and never have i had this experience before. I had done my own acrylics at home to try and save money and it was a complete mess. I had glue everywhere and couldn't get them off myself. I went to lux because I've been there in the past and they did a fantastic job with my nails. Haven't been here for a few years. Used to be my go to for pedicures so I decided to try again. Pedi was fine but very poor marketing. Monday through Wednesday special mani-pedi$30.00. This place has really gone downhill. I have been a loyal customer weekly for over a year and they are absurd! I went two weeks ago for a full set. They over charged me and did a horrible job. One fell off the following day. I went back and they charged me to fix it. It fell off AGAIN AND THEY CHARGED ME. fills are supposed to be $30 and they charged $40 to fill and fix the one that fell off. The old lady who does them does a terrible job. I have been overcharged multiple times and they always have a reason. When I went to fix my nail again today they charged me, did a terrible job painting them and the "quick dry" they swore would work and charged me for does not work and my nails are messed up again. I hope you all realize you have lost a customer who spends a couple hundred a month, referred multiple people and tipped well. I cannot believe the lack of respect and appalling customer service.
