This place was awesome. I was able to get an appointment on the same day that I called. Then even called me when they had a cancellation to let me know that I could come in earlier. It is located in a downtown area so parking can be a bit trickery. There is some paid meter spots in the area and I was able to park in a little ally way right next to the shop. I am not sure that it was legal, but I was not ticketed. I did not have to wait when I arrived. I was seated right away and the party began. The shop is very clean and the staff is supper friendly. I got the slushy pedicure and it was amazing. It starts off as a regular pedicure, but then the slushy part comes in. They add something to the water to make it look like a slushy. It is warm and feels like you have your feet in mud. It felt really good. After that the tech finished off my feet with a massage, clean and dry. It took about an hour for the whole thing and cost $45, not including the tip. I really enjoyed my experience and everyone should have a slushy pedicure in their lifetime. I made reservations for my boyfriend and I to get slushee pedicures. They didn't have anything available early in the week and we were busy later on so we waited until the weekend. The slushee pedicure itself was super cool. It felt like a science experiment, watching the water turn into slush and then break down later on. The consistency of the slush is very thick and comfortable to squish around with your feet. The technicians exfoliate your skin with it and it's not too embracive at all. It's a one of a kind experience. The supervisor who I assumed is the owner was very nice, offered us water and coffee, but the actual nail technicians weren't very friendly at all, which is the main reason my rating is three stars. I felt jipped of that relaxing spa service that I'm use to at other nail establishments. I would've been happier if I just sat in the slush for a few minutes. So few months ago, I saw a viral video about this place offering slushy pedicures, so of course I knew right then and there I somehow had to make it over there to get one. Finally I had the time to check it out right before I left for vacation. Was it everything I hopped and dreamed it would be? It actually was! Never had so much fun getting a pedicure! The lady gave me time to have fun squishing my feet around in the slush, and it felt really good. My feet my super soft after this treatment. She also did an excellent job applying the nail polish. I really wanted to like this place. Given it's amazingly cute exterior structure, I've wanted to stop by for a while, but I'm also hesitant with new nail salons. After reading the reviews and saw photos of the slushy pedicure, I made a same day appointment which they happily accommodated. When I first walked in, the interior design was just as cute as the outside. The owner was extremely nice and welcoming. I was getting a gel mani and she asked me to pick out my color; to my surprise, they didn't have color wheels! This was disappointing given colors don't necessarily apply the same color it is on the bottle top. I sat down for my pedicure and the owner asked me if I wanted water, coffee or tea; as mentioned previously, she was so friendly. I asked the woman doing my pedicure whether there were pedicure options and answered with a no which was disappointing since I came here specifically for the slushy pedicure. The woman doing my gel mani started immediately taking my previous gel mani off. A pro for those who don't like to spend a lot of time at a nail salon. The pedicure itself was great. They spend time scrubbing the bottom of your feet. However, I asked for a navy and my toes were painted black; I went home and shined my phone light on it, and it is definitely black (I will spare you a photo of my toes). But the real issue with my visit was the gel mani. After one coat, there was something on my nail. The woman attempted to get it off, but when it didn't work, she just continued to paint over it. At the end, she seemed more busy answering her phone than doing my nails. Additionally, I left with my previous gel mani all over the side of my finger; she didn't do a thorough job. Called in Tuesday noon to see if they can take me for a mani-pedi without an appointment and they told me to come in. I had Sonia and I really liked the results! She took good care of my skin during the pedicure. I guess you have to be specific if you want the slushy pedi. Overall I had a good experience and I will come back. read more

I have been going to Bella's for about two years now, I continue to have nothing but good things to say about this salon. My appointments are every other week, and I always get a gel manicure/regular pedicure. It is a relaxing and very pleasant experience every time. All the girls have worked on my nails at this point, and they all do an excellent job, they are careful and gentle and my nails look beautiful and would last longer than the two weeks I give myself in between mani/pedis. They do stick to appointment times, as in they won't be happy/flexible with walk-ins or you might have to wait, this might make for a negative experience for some, but I appreciate the fact that they are careful to give each client their undivided attention and I never feel rushed. read more

Lovely little place. I first saw this on Buzzfeed I knew I had to try it out. The owner/manager was on her game, she glows and knows how to manage the place. It was our first time at the salon I wish the welcoming could of been a bit more. When I said good morning the manager just pointed to the pedi chairs and said, "Sit there." I'll excuse her because she is fabulous. We ordered the Slushee Pedi. The nail lady could of been more friendly, and more explaining on what the pedi is. The pedi was very nice, and relaxing, but I wanted more for the $40 we spent. I wish she could of said, "Play in it alittle have fun for a few minutes." At the end of the pedi the nail lady literally just got up, and took her cell phone and went off somewhere, didn't say goodbye, or thank you for coming. I needed an early morning appt and this salon opens at 9am. I came in and the interior was really clean and well decorated. I just got a regular pedicure but I was impressed by how much attention the nail tech cared for my feet. It was a nice relaxing experience and I plan to go back. Nasty, nasty attitude. The owner is so disgustingly rude and after talking with a few people in Fort Lee about my horrible experience I've learned many people have gone only once to Lunita or Bella (whatever it's called) and refused to go back cause of their notorious bad 'holier than thou' attitude. I'm convinced all the good reviews on here are by the owner's friends or family. Why did they have to change their name? To revamp their bad reputation. I even witnessed the owner talk crap about customers who were calling in once she got off the phone with them. Saying how one customer always has an excuse on why they change their appt time, why they are running late and so on.... How dare she! I was greeted with a attitude how I came as a walkin when "90% of the clients are appt ONLY". I should have left from that nasty attitude from the beginning. After I was settled in the pedicure chair she made sure to come up to me to tell me she had to have one of her clients reschedule since she let me start my pedicure. You don't try to make customers feel bad. Besides the horrible excuse of them making me soak in acetone for THIRTY minutes because I quote "didn't use OPI brand gel manicure" on my previous gel manicure from a diff location. I only got my pedicure and got my gel mani removed because the manicurist destroyed my nail by buffing my nails so aggressively while dipping my hands in the acetone. I had to leave once she removed my gel mani, I could not let her destroy my nails any further. The manicurist finally got the color off and did NOT clean my hands but went to go text away on her phone. My hands were dry from the acetone and I had excess polish on my hands as she had to constantly buff my nails between the soak. I had to ask my manicurist for a towel and then the manager literally told my manicurist not to give me a clean towel when the manicurist gave me a USED smelly towel to wipe my hands. There's many nail salons in Fort Lee. Do not bother giving this salon any business. I paid for my pedi & $5 removal to take off my manicure color. I gave tip to the pedicurist (who I feel bad is stuck working with such a nasty boss) but didn't want to give any tip to the manicurist (who seems to be the boss's little minion) for ruining my nails and giving me a used dirty towel and then actually having the nerve to let her boss refuse to give me a clean towel. The owner than said & gave me attitude about not wanting to tip the manicurist. I always tip EVEN when I'm not satisfied. But the fact I was purposely disrespected I had to completely deny tip to this woman. I've never been in this situation. Anyway I'm sure the owner is checking on these reviews as she clearly has people staging the other reviews. She knows she has a bad attitude and when I told her she was rude she proceeded to tell me about how she owns 3 businesses. Excuse me? What does that have to do with your nasty attitude? Hmmm. I'm sure all 3 of her businesses have bad reputations for nasty attitude. Too many salons within walking distance to deal with that horrendous owners attitude. Besides she sells hookah cigarettes at her establishment!! This woman or business pretends to be upscale but is nothing but trash. 3 of my nails broke within 5 minute of leaving cause of the acetone and buffing. The rest were so sharp and thin, I was liable to cutting my skin. I drove to a salon in the shopping center across the way on Palisades avenue to have them finish my gel manicure where they did a fantastic job. I don't want to mention the exact name of this salon just in case that conflicts with Yelp's review policy but I highly suggest you go anywhere but here! read more

Wow is all I can say about this high end salon! The girls who do my Main/pedi's always do an amazing job. With my nails, the gel only last a few days without chipping, but here, they last about a whole week! Eyebrow services are excellent as well and you can say I am addicted to getting them done every two weeks! Bella Salon, (formerly know as Lunita Nails) is my HG salon. I have been going here religiously for about 3 years. I am only just now writing this review because I love this salon so much that I selfishly wanted to keep this place off everyone's radar as long as possible! I want to mention that when it comes to nail salons I am truly a picky customer. So, for me to give Bella's 5 stars truly says a lot. Jen (the owner) is very sweet and goes out of her way to accommodate her customer's. She has also done an amazing job decorating the salon. It is clean, modern and looks like it is a salon in Soho. Customer's are greeted with coffee/tea . Every nail tech is truly talented. I love the attention to detail and how my polish stays on days longer than other salons. Unlike some other salons in the Fort Lee area I along with other customers are being obnoxiously 'talked about" behind our backs in a different language.The girls are very sweet and do not yell across the salon. Although the manicure/pedicure's (excluding other services) are a little more expensive than the surrounding salons, it is worth it. Bella's has lately gained a popularity thus becoming much busier so I would def recommend making an appt. I just hope the quality of the mani/pedi's stay constant bc I did feel a bit rushed the last couple of times with my mani not looking like they usually do. Maybe I just caught an off day for them. I don't really understand what the negative review was all about. I have been here several times already. A few times they accommodated me last minute. Once the girls even all stayed extra while I finished drying my nails. The service is very good and everyone is very friendly. The owner is actually very nice and even helped me put on my shoes that are really hard to get on my feel herself because my nails were not dry yet. Stacey at the front desk is great! The mani and pedi quality is really good and the girls know what they are doing, I'm generally very picky with how someone does my nails. I did not experience any rudeness. The only thing I could say is a negative is a wish they had a nail drying station. One of those you put your hands and toes into and the air comes out. Since they don't have one, it's kind of a pain to sit and dry your nails. They try to compensate by putting the fast drying drops which helps but I still wish they had one of those machines.
