When she finished the extensions my lashes looked so full and beautiful! First they sit you down and show you different eyelash options. You get to look at lot of before and after photos they have of their clients. Once you choose that they sent you to this cute room where they give you a blanket and pillows to get comfy and relaxed. They tape up your eyes and put soft relaxing music in the background. It was about an hour to do both eyes. While getting it done you don't feel anything!! My lady had such a soft touch that I didn't even feel the tools she was using! When they finish up they give you a mirror to analyze if there's something you don't like they fix it on the spot. I'll admit, I was nervous to try a new lash salon but I went with my gut instinct and glad that I did. The space is clean and welcoming, they even have better tools like the fan that blows scented air at the lashes. I will be here every two weeks to make sure my eyelashes are full and beautiful. The older Asian lady who was my lash artist first removed my purse from the bottom of the bed which there was plenty of room for my bag. She then pointed to the camera and said I put it over here see camera. Which was all the way across the room on an empty bed. Red flag then I showed reference picture, she immediately said she has another appointment. She said my lashes were short without looking at my natural lashes. It took her forever to remove my lashes which is not normal. I also have my esthetician license and am certified in lashes as well. So I asked for her to remove the lashes then make an assessment. She got lash remover in my eyes they burned like crazy. Another Red flag! Then she said she would not be able to do the lashes how I wanted them. She said she could do them shorter. I previously had a set put on a week before as my friend was practicing on me for her certification and she only had short lashes in her kit. But finally I went to my lash shop in the city , they sat with me asked what I wanted and then they gave me choices on length. I've gone to many lash studios in NYC/NJ and they always ask what look you're going for and what length. The front desk at lash lounge was very nice. But the service was terrible. The bad: According to my text message I had Jamie Jung as my lash tech. Started off normal but my eyes had a mild reaction to the glue and despite being closed my eyes teared up bad, I remained relaxed the entire time but disappointed that she couldn't be bothered to use some sort of cotton to wipe the tears. They made their way into my ears. Not the end of the world but annoying and in my mind I felt she lacked empathy. She for some reason needed to rearrange my head (she moved it into the exact same position??) but it was very rough when she did it. Upon checking out I was questioned on the lack of gratuity which is optional. If I am not giving it that should be that, honestly she should be grateful for what I did give her given my experience.
