This is absolutely five star experience! I was really selective in researching where I was going to get my second set of acrylic nails. The first place I went to didn't give me the shape I wanted, unfortunately or the color. So I knew I had to find a new place. I took a chance on Sofia and am so happy I did! OK I normally would never write a review of anyone in the industry, as I am a hairstylist and I know how that can affect a business... But I also don't like when clients are taken advantage of either by a greedy salon. I usually do my own nails and this time I wanted to splurge a little bit and pamper myself so I came into Sarahs Tuesday, 3days ago, did a fill a repair and a gel polish. Today Friday, only 3 days later my polish is peeling off and I have one broken nail. I did not slam it, I just noticed it was gone. So I came back in, to fix the polish and broken nail, and she wanted to charge me extra for the broken nail. I was pretty upset because I already paid $72 plus $10 tip for nails that didn't even last 3 days. There was no way I was spending more money on my nails. So I just walked out after she removed my polish so I can just go and do them myself. At least they last more than two weeks. I would of tipped her anyways for the time she put in, but for her to charge extra, not cool. It's about the concept. I know how nails work, I went to hair school. A fill is supposed to be done so that the last at least two weeks so if it needs more acrylic just add it.....I know about customer service and this place has none. So, I'm disappointed w the experience and will not go back. One more thing, my daughter also has been here twice and has had to return to fix multiple broken nails as well. So yeah that's my experience here. Go at your own risk but I do not recommend. One positive thing i can say is that it's clean and has beautiful plants. read more

I rarely write reviews, and when I do it's only when I would never want others to experience what I did. I walked in with my boyfriend and asked if they have time for 2 pedicures no appointment. The owner said yes. Fastest pedicure I have ever gotten. I was rushed to pick a color, and it was a painful pedicure, was rushed to pay and was told next time to make an appointment. Little did I know it was only going to get worse. A week later I realized my nail and cuticle was not growing and week after my toe started to get inflamed and become very painful. Ended up at dermatologist who gave me ointments which didn't work. Then ended up at the podiatrist who told me I got an "infected nail and ingrown toe nail because whoever did my pedicure did not know what they were doing and was digging around where they shouldn't have." I had a very uncomfortable procedure performed and was limping for 3 days and on pain meds until it started to heal. No wonder I was in pain during the pedicure. Stay away from this place. As the owner of the place you need a degree in cosmetology to open a nail salon and how she got that degree I have no idea. The worst pedicure of my life and caused me so much discomfort and waste of time with doctors, all because of this place. And on top of everything if you don't have time for a walk in don't accept them and then rush them. Sorry for the gross image :( read more

Unfortunately, I paid $57 (before tip) for unevenly filled nails, crooked lines, and cuticles that look like I didn't even have a mani. If I were you I'd go elsewhere. My husband and I are new to the area and decided to give this place a try. We walked in on a Saturday afternoon and were pleasantly surprised that it was completely empty. We decided to get pedicures and manicures. The service by the manicurist was excellent, great pedicures. BUT once my husband was done with his pedi, the manucurist began his mani and 5mins into his manicure another customer walks in who made it clear she was in a rush. Sophia rudely walks over interrupts the manicure bc according to her a "customer" had arrived! And what are we? She wanted the manicurist to stop the manicure to attend the middle age white customer who arrived in a hurry. My husband refused to get up as she demanded and explained to her that he too was a paying customer. Bottom line this place is over priced and Sophia is a rude, disrespectful racist! Stay Away. Went to this place for the first time because my usual nail salon nail technician went away for vacation. The Spanish nail technician was rough while doing my pedicure and everything was (for a lack of better words) extremely half a**ed. I was a bit shocked at how careless she was in providing her services for both me and my friend. The other Asian woman charged my friend $60 (before tip) for a gel mani and a reg pedi, but I was charged $55 (before tip) for only a gel pedi. I'm confused as to why a mani AND pedi is only $5 more than just getting a gel pedi? I feel like she just made up that price on the spot. If the services were at least good and I was satisfied, I wouldn't have minded paying the $55 even if it seemed like a rip off. I just got the worst manicure ever. They don't even put your hands in water to cut your cuticles, they do everything DRY! It's uncomfortable and painful plus it didn't allow her to cut everything like she's supposed to. She did a HORRIBLE job painting my nails too, see it for yourself. I come here every two weeks for the past three years and I've never even witnessed Sophia be rude to a customer. She treats everyone with respect. It's one thing when a customer has an appointment with a specific manicurist, vs "refusing" to do your nails. She is not racist, because there is a huge diversity of clients here from white to black to Spanish to Asian, (I come here every 2 weeks and see new and usual faces all the time) and she treats everyone with the same respect. My first time coming here to get a gel pedicure done. The place wasn't busy so they took me in within 5 minutes. The first lady ( I think she's the manager)filed my toes and cleaned them. Then another lady cleaned them some more and then painted them. She really took her time with it and the end result was great but I did not realize that it was $39 for a color gel pedi. Thats extremely overpriced for a small nail salon. Plus with tips I came out of there spending $50. I would probably go to a less expensive place to get a color gel done. read more

Yikes. Don't know where to begin. First of all, the manicures are extremely bare-bones, even for the cheap price: no hot water to soften your cuticles, no lotion treatment or hand massage, even briefly. Nails and cuticles are trimmed directly onto the table, which makes me leery of how clean it is when I put my hands on it. The nail dryers are extremely old and greasy -- like, you can see old handprints of prior customers on them. The pedicure dryers? Fans. Literally college dorm-style portable desk fans strapped on the bottom of the manicure dryer table. Yes, it's cheap but definitely not worth saving a few bucks. A mani-pedi should be a nice little treat to yourself, a brief pampering. Instead, I felt gross and depressed walking out. Yuck. read more
