Horrible business! Owner was not accommodating to the me ( the paying customer's) needs. The owner refused to finish the job because she was closing in ten minutes. Meanwhile I had an appointment an hour and a half earlier! All she had to do was fix one nail and refused because "she had a long ride home" and told me she would finish the job the next day What nail salon starts a job and doesn't finish??? To boot she only had to finish ONE NAIL!!!!! THIS NAIL SALON! I absolutely DO NOT recommend this business. Poor business ethic. read more

Probably the worst nail salon I've been to. The lady who did my pedicure was rough and cut my skin. Also when she was using the hot towel she didn't even air it out first she laid it straight on my feet and my feet burned. Also, the lady who was doing my manicure kept stopping to answer the phone calls. Also when I paid i asked to charge me higher on my card by 10$ so I can get change so I can tip. She did that but instead of giving me the 10$ she took it for her tip. I wanted it back so I can decide how much I wanted to tip SMH. read more

I was extremely disappointed with the incident that occurred because this place is rated 4-5 stars on google! I walked in and asked to remove my acrylics and have a gel manicure and the owner told me that they don't do acrylics and that she didn't have time. Mind you it was 4pm and they close at 7. They only had 2 people being attended and no one waiting. Apart from that their service menu clearly states full set extensions and fill-ins. I hope no one else gets mistreated by this owner!!! read more

I can think of no other reason other than the color of my skin. First, let me state that I've visited numerous nail salons in and around the Garfield area. Garfield Nails & Spa has great pedicurists and nail technicians. However, during my most recent visit, I simply could not overlook what felt like racism. I had a 10:30 appointment. I was seated with a technician that I often make an appointment with, she is very good. Shortly after I arrived, at least four more customers arrived after me, all of whom announced that they had a 10:30 appointment. By this time, the technician had removed the polish from one hand when the manager/owner (I don't know her true role) said something to the technician in her native language. I was told by the technician that my pedicure would be completed first. So without question, I moved to the pedicure tub as directed by the manager/owner where I waited. Then waited some more, and watched as one by one, each of the White customers who also had 10:30 appointments were serviced and left the salon. I waited 35 minutes or so before my pedicure was started. To add insult to injury, I was seated with a different technician and charged extra because according to him my nails were "so long" and it had been "so long" since I had them done. Now, this particular salon has some of the highest rates in the area. I tend to spend no less than $70, on this day I spent $80. On this visit the technician did not do as good job as evidence by the lack of filing of the nails. Should I have an itch that needs to be scratched, I leave welts on the skin. That said, I asked the owner/manager why I was made to wait while White customers who arrived after me were serviced. Her response, a pedicurist did not come to work. So there you have it. I could think of no other reason why I was made to wait other than the color of my skin. This is not the first time I experience similar treatment by the owner/manager at this salon. I initially thought it was my imagination but no. I firmly believe racism is at play. Needless to say, I will never visit this establishment again. read more

I had an appointment at 3:15 on a Saturday and my nails only started being painted at 4. I showed up early and was seated. The woman who originally started with me was unnecessarily rough with my hands while removing an old gel manicure and prepping my nails. She used too much pressure with all of the tools where it was painful. After 10 min of prepping my nails she leaves to go do someone else's. I was sitting there for almost 15 minutes before she came back to make me move seats and wait for someone else to come paint my nails so she could go do yet another woman's nails. I sat waiting for another 15 minutes before someone finally came to paint my nails and big surprise it was rushed since another woman had an appointment. I waited for so long and was moved around and transferred between people and it's not even like I was a walk-in. I had a scheduled appointment and was not taken care of well. I will not be returning to this salon. read more

Soo this was my second time coming here, the first time was fine and easy going but the second time was horrible. I called in advance for an appointment @ 6 pm / 6:15pm and I arrived at about 6:11pm when I walked in i let them know I had an appointment and it went down hill from there, the lady was very rude and annoyed for no reason, I was told to sit down and it didn't stop there. Throughout the time waiting to get my nails done, all 4 employees were talking about me and laughing and I felt super uncomfortable but I stuck it out and when I finally got a chance to get my nails done, the nail technician was VERY VERY RUDE AND DISGUSTING. He man handled me and was very rough with me and he even yelled at me because of the length I wanted my nails. Mind you I was paying $85 for MY NAILS and he was telling me how to do them. I've never experienced this time of situation before I was definitely caught off guard and left really anxious and unhappy with my nails. Definitely be careful how come cross these people because of you rub them the wrong way they'll definitely make your time there hell. And like I said I was here before and was not treated this way. You guys are rude and disrespectful and disgusting and need better customer service. OOH and also the younger lady that was there was a bitch. Completely petty and mean and I'm pretty sure they were plotting against my nails because they did not come out that great which sucks bc I know they can do better nails than this. They definitely had it out for me and they'll do the same with you. Take precautions and find another place where they have decency and know how to customer service!! read more
