I went in for powder but ended up getting gel because they have approx 8 total powder colors to choose from. Not very clean / needs an update. My nails don't look great, either - they're lumpy and the paint doesn't go down to the cuticles. Would not go again. read more

I had been coming here to get my nails done a couple years ago, as it was one of the only places open on Sundays. Recently I've started coming back here, and the first time, Michelle did my nails really well. The second time, one of the men started doing my nails then seemed more concerned with manning the front desk, so another woman took over who also seemed concerned with the front desk. A third woman then had to come paint my nails because everyone was more concerned with the customers trying to pay even though there was already someone working the front desk. So 3 different people had touched my nails in this one visit, which is extremely annoying and inconsistent service. The third time was another rude and not great experience, but despite this, I still came back a 4th time. That was a mistake and my last time coming here. I had the same woman who was one of the 3 from my other visit, she must be a partial owner or something because she was again not even paying attention to what she was doing and kept eyeing the front desk (again, even though someone was working it). She made me bleed, and honestly think she looked towards the desk upwards of 50 times. I told her there was a bubble, and she told me that was my finger. My finger didn't have any bubbles coming into the appointment, so that was false and she wouldn't fix it. I honestly wasn't going to tip her as much as I usually do, but I paid her at the front desk and she laid out her tip basically on the counter when she gave me my change, so I just gave it to her. Here's where it gets gross. My finger immediately hurt where she made it bleed, and over the course of the next few days it was swollen and very painful. I knew I had an infection from this place. A few days later while I was at work, I couldn't even type with my finger because it was so painful. At one point in the day, I looked down and noticed my finger had exploded with puss (I didn't even knock it or touch it, it just happened). Thank god I was at my desk and not in front of other people, because it was disgusting. After 3 tries coming here recently with them all being bad for the most part, I still decided to come again and then get an INFECTION and still rude service. Pay more attention to what you're doing and take care of the paying customers right in front of you instead of being so concerned with others. read more

Worst manicure I ever received and I have been getting manicures for at least 30 years. My nail salon was booked so did a walk in here and should have known right off the bat that it was not a good salon. No one was there and all while I was there only two people with about 7 stations available. I told the manicurist to do the top of my nail across at least three times and she just gave them a dab. I paid extra for vinylux and in two days all my nails were chipping. I never will go back there and recommend that you do not either. read more

Clean and nice inside. I usually don't mind a fast gel mani but it still needs to be thorough. The tech I had was an older woman, maybe her name was Barbara? she seemed to be the owner or at least in charge. She did not soak my nails before pushing back and clipping my cuticles. She also did like every other cuticle, even thought they all needed attention. She seemed really distracted throughout the whole process and was answering the phone and trying to manage other people walking in who wanted service. She also did not tell me to put my hand under the UV lights (I had to remind/ask) or make sure it was on consistently which was weird. It's only been a day but my nails look super ragged because of the lack of attention to the cuticles and at the skin around the edges of the nail. This place had really good reviews on Google but I'm not sure why. It is nothing special and overpriced for the service you get. read more

Some of the reviews on here are absolutely ridiculous... like come on people use your brains here. TLC is, hands down, the BEST nail place in Wayne. The prices are affordable for the high quality, the staff is so kind and they all work extremely hard. Some of them must work 7 days a week. One recommendation is: make an appointment. One review and on here mentioned how they walked in a half hour to close with three friends and they didn't get services... like come on. Are you stupid? You don't do that at a nail place. And news flash: any nail place would decline rendering services at that time. Some of these wayne ladies really need a good wake up call, like the world doesn't revolve around you lady... No matter which nail artist you go to here, you get quality work. They remember my name when i come in. They are always welcoming and can arrange appt for me, same day. And OMG, the pedicures are on point. They massage with a hot stone, massage with their hands, give you hot wax on your heals and they scrub your calluses for 25 bucks! Thats cheap! Make an appt is my only recommendation. And ask about pricing before services are rendered. Come early to your appt, and be patient. Its a nail place, not a supermarket. Came here because it was recommended by a friend. Experience left a lot to be desired. Chairs uncomfortable and do not go back far enough for long legs (I'm 5'7) Had to demand clumpy streaky nail polish on pedicure be redone. While asking for it to be corrected girls were all speaking Spanish with each other about me which to their surprise I understand and speak. They were stunned when I responded. Second polish going on - old girl stops and new girl starts to paint stops and adds nail polish remover to the polish....which is incorrect. Absolutely rude and unprofessional. Never will return or recommend. Walked out with toes unpainted with streaks of old polish visible. Refused to pay. Went to another salon just for polish and they did a much better job So many nail places around better than this. read more

Had a great experience here. I have yet to find a nail salon that I love in North Jersey and I have to admit after coming here, I definitely won't be going anywhere else. They took their time with my gel manicure, and my nails looked flawless. Then that little shoulder massage they do while your nails are drying? You really can't beat that and all for $25! I came at night after work to get a dip powder job done because they are open until 7:30. However this was the worst job I've ever seen. The color selections they had was abysmal. They only had 21 colors to choose from and they weren't great colors. I never got the color I actually chose (I chose a maroon and was given bright orange red). I also have never seen a dip powder job executed this way before. I get dip powder to avoid the UV light but for some reason they put a sealer on my nails that needed the light. I went home in tears and just repainted the color on top because I was too embarrassed to go to work with the bright orange red on my nails. To make matters worse the dip powder job under the paint job I did is chipping and separating from my nail TWO DAYS LATER. I will never return. What a waste of $35. read more

Since Eliza left a few months ago, unfortunately, I continued coming to see if anyone else was as good as her. I have tried every other person working there to do my nails and they are all terrible. I have never had my nails start chipping quickly after they are done..especially gel! or start breaking so quickly. Once Eliza was gone and the other workers did my nails, that started happening. A friend recommended this place. She said they have great pedicures, which it looked like it was. I called to make an appointment at 5:30. I was told to sit at the pedicure chair and then waited for 45 minutes. The girl next to me was waiting for an hour. The both us of sat there and watched other people walk in after us and have their pedicures started. I am always hesitant on trying a new place. I was hoping that with my friend recommending it, that it would be a great experience. As The girl next to me and I walked out (on the phone with another salon to see if they could squeeze us in before closing) no one seemed concerned. I understand it is the start of spring and they were busy, but they shouldn't have given me an appointment. This will be the first and last time I visit here. read more

TLC nails has one of the best prices in the area for super quality work! I've been coming here every 2 weeks or so since August 2016 (it's now January) and I have yet to be disappointed! I always receive quality service from the employees. I tell the boss all the time I so appreciate that no matter who does my nails I'm always so happy with how they come out! Sometimes it's easy to just walk in and get a gel manicure sometimes not it depends on the day. It's a great idea to call and ask first, just so you don't have to wait. My gel nails never chip when they're done here (they have at other salons with the same brand of color gel) and if they even are starting to chip a little or something happens, I can go in and they fix it up no charge. Honestly, I don't understand any negative reviews about this place. I first discovered it on accident and have been coming here religiously every two weeks to see James ever since. James is seriously THE BEST and I wouldn't allow anyone else to take care of my nails. The service is never rushed (even on a busy weekend morning) and I come away completely happy each time. The rest of the staff is just as wonderful. I drive here every other week from Hackensack and it's worth the mini trip. Can't say enough good things about this place, it's my favorite. read more

I went to TLC NAILS out of location convenience. I'm visiting here and wanted to stay close by. I was a walk in and only had a 5 min wait. All I needed were polish changes to my fingers and toes but I am very happy with both. The employees didn't speak in a different language at all. All were friendly and courteous. The woman who worked on me was very careful and precise. The prices were a little high to me (18$)but I come from TN. There I pay 10$ for hand & feet polish changes . Very clean everywhere and saw them cleaning the foot soak tubs after each pedi and opening a fresh pack of tools for each client. I'd go back when visiting again. read more

I've been coming here for a long time and every time I go in lately they try to rip me off with some new charge and are always raising the prices. First they charged me an extra 15 for extra 10 min massage which is usually an extra ten. THEN They charged me 15 dollars to take off 4 LCn nails. 15 dollars!!!! Are u kidding me? I actually got up and walked out without finishing my manicure. I've been coming here for the past few years now and they do a good job. I usually do my own nails and some would say I am a little obsessed with the way they look. That being said I am very critical about the nail salons I pick. I don't really have any bad things to say. The place is clean and the staff is friendly. I hardly ever make appointments and yet the longest I've waited is 5 minutes for a pedicure. They pay attention to what they are doing and cleaned up my cuticles nicely. The only thing I wish was different is the nail polish selection. They have a good amount but for someone like me that is always looking at Essie and O.P.I's new colors I would like to see a larger variety. read more

Went in again for a Gel manicure and a pedicure, they were both great but as I am sitting in the pedicure chair the girl at the desk comes to check my manicure to see if I had sparkles so that she can charge me again...how rude!!! You should really learn how to treat your customers that return every 2 weeks and give you business! And I did not have sparkle nail polish - I will put my own sparkle nail polish top coat when I get home - $2.00 for the whole bottle. read more

Came here today based on the recommendation of a co-worker. First off love that they are open on Sundays. The salon was very busy and I waited only about 5 minutes for someone, so not bad at all. I was coming here for a while, but like all new salons, once they are established they go downhill from there. It's 88 degrees outside today and no ac on. When I mentioned how hot it was the girl put a fan on under the manicure table lol what?! Also, when I came in all pedicure chairs were full so they did manicure first which she spent a total of 8 minutes on. Then I sat in pedicure chair for 25 minutes waiting because they took another customer while I was getting the manicure they insisted on doing first. I've recently switched to TLC nails and It was a great decision. I'm not picky about who does my toes but James is the only one that I go to for my nails. TLCs color gel has lasted the longest compared to other nails salons in the area. I personally recommend going at 9:30am when they open because it is quiet and you're not there for more than 45 minutes (if you're getting a color gel.) I've never been disappointed with the outcome of my nails! read more
