If I could give zero I would, we've been here a few times for the food hoping it would have gotten better, which it never did cold under cooked and takes forever. Servers also lack customer service skills and attention to details manager that was there today older Hispanic lady extremely extremely rude refused to explain or even tell me that they don't sell the batter mix for events anymore just kept repeating "I don't understand" will never spend another dime here again! It may take some time for this place to get their service up to par. We had to ask for a set up after we got our food. The food was terrible. I got the eggs Benedict with hashbrowns and no bread asked if they could put the poached eggs on the hashbrowns and she said no she didn't think they could. OK, I can deal with that however, the poached eggs were cooked in a mold and were hard boiled. The husband got plain pancakes and said they were okay. We ordered their bourbon bacon which we thought would be kind of a glaze or a flavor. It's a jamish clump of bourbon, grilled onions that's made into some kind of a gel and is one of the worst things I've ever tasted. We are not planning on going back anytime soon. The food was under par, the salisbury steak was beef patty top with sauted mushrooms and onions woth black salty gravy super small portions. Gravy thick and salty. The sides was little broccoli and the salad i choose for the side literally only romaine lettuce with dice almost rotten tomatoes and red onion with ranch bottle taste dressing. I ordered my kids waffle with strawberries and nuttela on top intead the kids meal they gave me full price waffle for 13 dollars, not even big waffles, some pieces strawberries and small cup nuttela on side, dont even bother to put on top of waffles. Waited a couple weeks to try so they had time to work out the kinks. Went on a Tuesday, seated right away, server took order right away. Server turned into David Copperfield and disappeared. Food took 20 minutes to get to the table, brought by another person. We ate in less time than it took to get the food. Waited another 10 minutes for the check, but Houdini was nowhere to be found. The only reason I went for overpriced waffles and eggs was because my son wanted it. It was a gift for him. $20? ($15.99 before taxes). Not well priced. This was a mobile order. I had pressed on think link on my phone "I'm here" when I pulled in the parking lot. Was this supposed to save me time? When I got to the counter, I stood there for a several minutes, while an employee that seemed to be on break to the side, just watched me standing there. After a short while, I yelled out, does anybody work here? One employeed pointed at the lone waitress way down the aisle that seemed to be busy taking an order and it didn't look like she was going to be done any time soon. Finally, someone came to the cash register to hand me my food that had been bagged and waiting all this time. Was the food good? Yes, it was fine. Nothing exceptional. $20 without a drink? Seriously? Plus my cost to drive there and back to pick it up. I could have prepared that meal for $4 at home. That's why traffic at restaurants is way down, with many just going out of business. Just had breakfast. Extremely disappointed! Service to take your order was one of the only two good things. We ordered the big Breakfast Sampler plate for my wife and I. We're seniors so a plate like that is more than enough food. I ordered two eggs a la carte with plate plus two coffee's. The best cooked item were the eggs a la carte. Remainder of food was barely warm at best. Ham was overcooked and burned on one side. Bacon was cold and greasy not crispy. The sausage was decent. I even asked the waitress about the very small portion of hash brown's served. Her response was this was the portioned amount served. I have never had so little hash brown's served. A joke quite frankly for what they charge for the plate. $17.99. BTW, the pancakes came with no butter and finally provided upon request. I hate to give bad reviews but I think the one takes the cake. I guess Tracy was having a bad but it's not okay to treat people that way. I get it you are busy which I'm okay with that but dam learn customer service skills. I'm sorry for the wait. How can I help you, is there anything else I can get you. I went in and they took 10 mins to even ask if we want something to drink. I told we are also ready to order. I asked to substitute my pancakes to French toast and she says THAT AN EXTRA CHARGE, I told her no problem but looks at me like I couldn't afford it . She leaves and comes back and right before she leaves my table I tried asking her for a straw and just turned around and helped the table next to us. So I was like okay no problem I got up and asked another waitress. So our food finally comes we didn't get what we ordered and then the waitress try's to belittle the guy who brought us our food by tell him you brought the wrong order I grabbed my plate back and told her mine is correct but the ham has green stuff on it so just to bring me another piece. So she continues to grab my plate and I said I'm done. At this point I have been there for over an hour and asked for my check for my drinks and the waitress came back and says here is your food and I said I just want my check for my drinks and she said okay but you aren't going to eat then you could don't need to pay. I told the manager that Tracy here has a shitty attitude she didn't even say sorry or anything. Tracy needs to change her way of thinking cause you're the reason why people are so angry with people and treat the servers like crap. Not all servers shitty but this one takes the cake. read more

The food is made quick and sloppy. Strawberry crepes, you probably have some cheese melted on it from another plate.... Steak and eggs? You'll get a micro cut of steak that looks like it came from one of those cheap steak trucks selling discount meat in the parking lot. IHOP has gone down hill. Was hoping to have a better experience. Got our drinks and never got a refill. While waiting for our food a busser came over and placed a dirty try on our table and was taking the dirty dishes from the table next to us and puttingt hem on the tray. It was super awkward. Then our food came and portion was small and food was not made how we asked. Food did not come out all at once. And while we were eating the same busser came over and placed the dirty tray on our table to finish getting the dirty plates from the table next to us. I lost appetite after that. Not going back. A++ Extremely pleased! My wife and I have visited the Simi Valley IHOP several times. I have not been disappointed. In fact, I'm amazed at the value. The restaurant is bright, neat and clean. The employees are very accommodating and professional. The food has been excellent, exceeding my expectations. The roast beef dinner, Colorado omelet, lemon ricotta blueberry crepes, and classic burger have been especially good. Their prices are affordable. Plus, they have specials, loyalty points and a military discount. Kudos to the sweet people who work there! They're too good and I can't wait to go again. read more

Ok I just got back from a less than enjoyable expierence. Food was forgotten, the food that did come was cold, waitress seemed "unhappy" and when it came to pay the check (which was purposely done seperately) there was confusion and the Manager took my check walked away, came back after several minutes and couldn't figure it out. Be forewarned if trying to use your "Pan Coins" on your IHOP app, and using a cupon. Never have I seen such confusion. read more

I tried the Simi IHOP today, it was very busy but I was seated within 15 minutes. My waitress was so sweet and attentive, my order was correct, the food was delicious. I'm not big on pancakes, but decided to try them and they were YUMMY. The restaurant manager made sure that everything was running smoothly and everyone was satisfied. Great experience. I'm glad this IHOP has open here in Simi Valley. I been there 3 times and each time I've had great customer service by the waitresses. They were very nice and attentive. The food has been on point as well. As of late, I've been getting the Steak Omelette w/ egg whites and it's to my satisfaction. Since it is new, each time I've been there, it has been packed. I'm submitting this review for my elderly sister who is techie challenged. She went to the relatively new Simi Valley IHOP with a group of 3 friends for breakfast earlier this week. The good: got seated right away The bad: took 45 minutes to take their order. Then, despite asking the waitress numerous times, the order took another 45 minutes to arrive. The worst: each time they tried to get the waitress' attention, her facial expression clearly stated that they were bothering her. So utterly sad to be waited on by someone who clearly hates her job. Note to that waitress: seek other employment, and everyone benefits. The absolute worst: After being treated so shabbily the entire time they were there the pièce de résistance was that the food arrived cold! Never again IHOP. read more

Driving home after a long day, I decided to try the new Ihop in town. I was pleasantly suprised. The whole interior from floor to ceiling has been redone. It was crazy busy inside but I was given prompt attention and service. The food was as hot and tasty as expected from Ihop. I love the butter pecan syrup. I recently visited IHOP, and while the service was really good and the staff were friendly, the food didn't meet my usual standards. Unfortunately, I experienced some discomfort afterward.That was my last straw. I've been to this IHOP multiple times trying to give it some chances and hopes but unfortunately, every time I go, I always end up with the stomach bug. Went for dinner. Was pretty crowded. Speed of service is the main issue. Only one server for about 12 tables results in a general lack of attentiveness. Two cooks seemed to keep the food flowing but meals sat on the counter waiting for pickup, often cooking off to a degree. An added server might allow for better coverage and awareness like drink refills and food not being served on a timely basis. Staff is polite and willing-no issue with demeanor or food quality. read more

Yes, on Saturday the 24th at 12:05 had a very very bad experience at IHOP. I will see it in the section where Veronica was serving waited almost 2 hours to be served. No drinks no nothing. The food was cold when I received it was still charged for them out. I would like a refund for that, have always there on Saturdays. I've never had this experience before.
