This is my second visit to this location, and I'll definitely come back here the next time I get out to this part of SoCal. It's hard to imagine better service. Upon entering we were immediately greeted with a warm and enthusiastic welcome from Teresa. Michelle and Perez were also wonderful. Servers were kind, warm and attentive, making us feel very much at home. The food was great, as always. I had the pulled pork omelette, which comes with a side of pancakes. Oof! It was a lot of food, but delicious! As for ambience, it was what you expect from a restaurant chain. Not special (thus four and not five stars), but it was fine. You need a code for the locked restroom, because Los Angeles Street has a number of street people wandering through, and the restroom stall was out of order, which wasn't awesome. Our server is nice, She ensured our drinks are filled up and also asked if i have Ihop app to use pan coins for free entrée or discounts. Food was not good. Eggs were cold. They brought new hash browns as the ones in the photo were not great. The new hash browns were okay and hot. Ordered turkey bacon instead of regular bacon. Not sure what kind they used but it really looked strange, tasted okay but was cold as well. The pancakes were okay but not very hot, Luke warm but tasted okay. My son had a hair on his plate. Portion size is very small and I left still hungry. Way overpriced for what you get. Restaurant seemed dirty to me. You need a code to get into the restrooms, they seemed clean but smelled awful from some sort of cleaning Oder. Our server who was the only person working was fine. My boyfriend and I were craving some pancakes the other weekend and hadn't had ihop in a while, so we came in for a quick breakfast. We each got pancakes but he got an omelette and I got the country fried steak. The pancakes were delicious and fluffy of course, and I always have to have the blueberry syrup! My boyfriend enjoyed his omelette as well. Meeting a buddy for breakfast and conversation. Simi Valley IHOP is halfway between our homes and is open early in the morning (actually 24/7). Ambiance is classic IHOP with a large counter and lots of booths. Very clean. No problem getting a table at 7 AM. Only one person working the front of the house at that hour. She showed us to our table, took our drink orders, and gave us time to look over the menu. I went with the make your own omelet. I went with sausage and mushrooms with cheddar/Jack cheese ($15). Comes with a side of 3 pancakes which my buddy had for breakfast. Large portions - tasty very enjoyable - neither of us could finish our order. Came in around 9:15 on a Saturday night with my boyfriend. The restaurant was awfully staffed; One server managing several tables and a party of at least 6 all by herself. We waited at least 20 minutes to be seated, and ten for our food to come out without drinks. Server was taking someone else's order while she was missing our drinks. I came into this location today to order breakfast to go. The parking lot looked really busy, and when I walked in, there was only one person waiting in line before me. I waited about 5 minutes, as I saw the server helping different tables. All of a sudden, this couple walks up and stands on the side, waiting to be helped so they could pay their check. I was hoping the server would see us waiting in line and take care of us first, and the person in front of me was taken care of by another employee, but then instead of the server asking who was next, he just went to help that couple that skipped the line and helped them first. That already upset me. After he helped those people, I walked up to him quickly to place my to go order. I ordered the Breakfast Sampler. It was already over $17, so I expected with tax the price to come out to a little over $18. My total wound up being over $20, so I asked him why that was, and he said because of tax, kind of in a rude way, but I let it go. I waited another almost 10 minutes for my meal, and then he brought it out to the counter. Instead of just handing me my food and wishing me a great day, he snapped and said condescendingly that "they have a $7 dollar meal if I don't want to pay that much", stated in a very rude tone. I was immediately infuriated and insulted, and I told him I didn't appreciate him telling me that, and I also didn't appreciate how he helped the other couple that skipped the line instead of helping me, who was standing there already for 5 minutes. Then he began to argue with me about it, and that they should be helped first because they were sitting down eating, and I told him you still should be asking who was next in line so that we get taken care of in a fair way. He still continued to argue with me, making things worse. I asked him if he was the manager, then he said he wasn't and he would go grab one. He told me his name is Jerry. I spoke with the manager and told her what happened, and how I thought I was being overcharged and how he snapped at me in an angry way with a condescending attitude about ordering the $7 meal instead "if I didn't want to pay that much", and then argued with me about who should be taken care of first. She apologized and then went to the back to go get a free meal coupon. While she was back there, he came up to the front desk, and with this catty sarcastic attitude told me to "HAVE A GREAT DAY" and I told him I wasn't done yet. When she came back, she told me she didn't want to offend me by giving me the free meal card, which I thought was very strange, and apologized for his behavior and said that he just gets overwhelmed when there's a lot of people and he gets upset easily and I thought that was just totally unacceptable. As I was leaving, the manager was there, and he wished me a GREAT DAY in that same rude sarcastic and condescending attitude. Be very careful if you go to this location. That server, Jerry is nothing but trouble and is very argumentative, and has a very snooty rude attitude towards the customers. And he has a very fake attitude that doesn't look very good in the customer service and restaurant business. In fact, after what he put me through, I'll never go back to that location again, so they're going to lose business now. Jerry is bad for business and the food was also not so good. The hashbrowns were semi burnt. I also found a hair in the food. Besides the food, the customer service interaction was absolutely terrible and awful and is unacceptable in a well established restaurant like IHOP. I didn't eat the ham because it was dry and hard as a rock . the sausage had the flavor that i loved and texture but it could have been cooked on all sides . I think they cook everything here on a flat top. The server was sweet . She had us and three other tables in the time we were there mostly parties of 1/2. If the eggs were fluffy and the sausage cooked i'd probably come here again , but out of the two newest breakfast places that opened in simi in last few years we prefer Dennys over this ihop. read more

I am happy to have iHop back in Simi and that they are open 24/7 since most places in town close early. I went there with my family on New Years Day and while I understand they were busy, it took a while before we got our drinks. I had to ask after waiting what felt like was over 20 minutes. Somehow we ended up with an extra milk, and orange juice but in the end they made sure not to charge us. Everyone except me got their food shortly after our drinks arrived. When I got my order the food was cold. Hoping they're adjusting to things since it recently opened and will go back another day when there's less people. I did see what looked like 2 managers standing around talking. It would have been nice if they helped go around to check on tables and also help deliver food to tables faster. I saw 1 bring food to a table next to us. If you order any toast they'll give you jelly but won't give you butter unless you ask. read more

It's nice to have another breakfast place in the area. It's an ihop so you have an idea if you know. We came at a weird dining time, so my wife had breakfast, her pancakes weren't hot enough to melt the butter, but she said they tasted fine. I split an appetizer sampler with little man, the cheese sticks were good, but the onion rings seemed like they used the outer layer of the onion (kind of like the paper or peel layer) and we had trouble biting through them. My family and I came here for brunch on New Year's Day. The place was packed, but the customer service was phenomenal. Our server Thalia did a great job, and we all enjoyed our meals. The manager Margo was also going around talking to customers; she even apologized for the long wait time for our table (we had to wait 30 minutes for a table as we were a party of 9). However, the wait time was understandable given we came on a holiday. The menu is vast with plenty of vegetarian options. They also offer dishes for seniors 55 and over. Parking is not an issue as the restaurant is located in a strip mall. Also, this restaurant is open 24 hours! If you are a fan of IHOP, I highly recommend coming here. read more

4 stars is as good as it gets for a chain restaurant. I was so happy to see that we got a new IHOP in Simi Valley. I'm already a big fan of IHOP and I used to drive all the way out to their Oxnard location which I rather enjoyed until they removed their counter seating. This new location has a nice counter with plenty of seats. Pro tip - if you like to sit at the counter, don't sit at the far end because that's where complaining customers congregate. I arrived at approximately 5:55 AM, and the restaurant was unoccupied except for one server, who was quite pleasant. It was unexpectedly colder inside than outside, necessitating a change of tables due to the initial seating's chill. The food arrived promptly, but the quality was subpar. The only warm item was the freshly scrambled eggs; however, the hash browns, bacon, and toast were all cold. It was evident that both the hash browns and bacon had been sitting on the grill for an extended period. The hash browns, though golden brown and visually appealing, were excessively tough, requiring a knife to cut. The bacon was overcooked and cold, and the toast, while perfectly toasted, was also cold and served without butter, only accompanied by ice-cold butter. The portion sizes were notably small, with the menu listing two eggs, yet only one was served. The hash browns were shaped in a square, almost a perfect 4 x 4 square which seemed odd. Overall the experience was negative and WAY overpriced for the portion served. Needless to say I wont be returning, to this or any other IHOP. read more
