I stopped by this El Pollo Loco this morning to get my wife lunch. She wanted the chicken tostada from here. When I came, I was able to find parking just fine in the plaza this location is in. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I walked inside, they didn't have that many guest inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You can order from the kiosk or with the person at the counter. I ordered with the person at the counter. I asked for there to be no sour cream in the chicken tostada and got the classic one. I didn't have to wait long for my order but they put sour cream in it. I told the person who took my order and he apologized. He went to remake my order personally and apologized again. I got all three sauce with my order. My wife loved her food but they didn't give that much chicken in the tostada. read more

I love El Pollo Loco, let's make this clear. The chicken is great, it's a healthy alternative to anything chicken except Mediterranean grill. However today, April 12 and about 12:10 PM lunch, I decided to dine at this location, right after attending church. I ordered the 8 piece chicken but received a phone call from a family member asking if I could also buy her some food. This El Pollo Loco Manager became so rude that I have to lecture her about decorum and customer service. I usually don't look down on people because I serve the public in my professional job but this lady started talking so rude because I received a phone call in the middle of my order. She continued to talk down on me and this is when I lectured her about customer service! Aren't managers supposed to demonstrate how customers are supposed to be treated and respected, irrespective of any distraction? How can she run a store in Simi Valley if she acts like a Karen? What's her problem? I just want an El Pollo Loco chicken lunch, only to lose my appetite with this manager. How does El Pollo Loco train their managers? This lady does not deserve to run a customer service facility like this! If you're in Simi Valley, DO NOT PATRONIZE this branch. Let's make sure this lady doesn't work at this facility anymore! [[HIGHLIGHT]]This location is very clean inside and has a nice big parking lot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Use the app of course, ordered a digital deal as I normally do, used $5 off as well from the app. Recommended you download it and use it, worth it. My go to has been 3 taco Al carbons with chips and a drink, at this location, currently $6.89, which is almost $1.00 more than other locations LA, which is a negative in my opinion. Even with the higher price, still a good deal and I still enjoy eating at El Pollo Loco and using the deals when I am able. The service here is okay. i have always been treated here with respect but I speak Spanish so I can't speak for others. The food here is terrible! It seems like they only cook chicken early and then they keep it under the warmer for the late day orders. When i buy food here, the chicken is never fresh or juicy. It's never satisfying or filling. I would give this location 0 stars if I could. I ordered the original pollo bowl and the rice was not cooked right. It was extremely soggy which made everything else in the bowl taste nasty and unappealing. The 2 burritos I ordered weren't even labeled so I had to cut one open to see which one it is since I didn't want to make the mistake of giving the chipotle one to my kids who do not like spicy foods.
