Mar y Tierra burrito, shrimp quesadilla & Asada Fries
Janelle L.

Wow! This place surprised me. Not only was it good but damn, this place got BUSY around 6 pm! This place is bigger than it looks. There's a back patio where the majority of the seating is. The inside seats maybe 20 people. Parking during rush hour is horrible, you'll likely have to find street parking down a side road. The neighboring businesses with empty parking lots don't want Fast n Fresh customers parking in their lots. Let's talk food. I'm not a fan of the asada fries. First, the fries were limp, not crispy. Second, I'm not keen on nacho cheese in my Mexican food. However, the queso & chips, the Mar y Tierra burrito & the shrimp quesadilla were all fantastic!! I'm not sure what they marinate or how they season their shrimp but it's good!!! So simple but so good! I'm definitely making my friend bring me back to try more of the menu next time I'm in Simi.

Asada and shrimp burrito

A coworker highly recommended Fast N Fresh to me. We went in for dinner tonight and it was delicious! Huge portions of food. We ordered the medium guacamole and chips and I had the large shrimp taco. Nice sauce, thinly sliced cabbage, and the shrimp were grilled. I absolutely loved the tortilla! My son had the Asada and shrimp burrito. He couldn't finish his, so he had lunch for tomorrow. Restaurant was very clean and the servers were welcoming!

steak quesadilla

This place was pretty good. They live up to the name as the food came out quickly and it was fresh. The steak quesadilla was my favorite. And, their chips with bean dip was a nice little appetizer. I also tried the lengua burrito which not only lacked flavor but the tortilla wrap was too raw for me... it needed a bit more time toasting in order for the earthy flavor to come forth. I did appreciate the food being served in metal platters and the environmentally friendly to-go containers. Service was super friendly and cheery. We sat outside in the front where the cars passing by generated a nice breeze. We'll come back someday to try more of the menu.

Elvira's Mexican Grill - Steak and Shrimp fajitas

First time here. Nice atmosphere and welcoming staff…read more We started with chips and salsa. I appreciated that you can get a small side of guacamole. I had the Chile Relleno combo with a chicken enchilada. My wife had the steak and shrimp fajitas. The Chile Relleno was the best. It was stuffed with real Mexican cheese. Very tasty. The chicken enchilada was good, bit needed more chicken. The fajitas were tasty, but maybe not the best we've tried. Still worth getting. We left extremely full and satisfied. Our waiter was super friendly. We will be back.

I've been hearing about how wonderful this Mexican restaurant is and I can see the community agrees! We waited about 20 minutes to be seated - not bad at all! The hostess, servers and busboys are so friendly and on top of EVERYTHING! They have a full bar, the margaritas are great! It's very loud in there so be prepared! Five of us dined and everyone loved their food! We started with shredded beef nachos which were wonderful! The chili verde, chicken enchiladas and asada plate were all a hit! I personally could not wait to order the chicken mole' enchiladas (I LOVE mole' and heard theirs was amazing) BUT THEY RAN OUT! So disappointed! That's all I wanted, never even looked at the menu! It's not even 7pm yet? Why oh why do you not have enough for the Friday night rush!!?? When our waitress came back to to tell me they ran out of it, (she was very sweet and apologetic) and she had already put everyone's order in - I had no idea what I wanted ‍ so I ordered a chicken taco which didn't come out until about 5-10 minutes after everyone else's food was served. Other than that snag (my reason for the 4 stars not 5) their food is awesome! I'm definitely wanting to come back for the mole' and highly recommend coming here!

My friends and I came here for dinner the other night and I was absolutely blown away by this spot…read more Visually, it's a stunning place and they've done a fabulous job with the aesthetic as it's the kind of place that feels like a party. Neon lights, cute signage, and overall they just did a really great job with the design and execution. There's a lot going on but it doesn't feel cheap. Ambiance is definitely A+. For dinner on a weeknight we found this spot wasn't too busy but we also came after happy hour. It was a relaxed vibe. Service was overall pretty good. I felt like all of the gals working were very very sweet and nice. Also, anytime we stopped them to ask for refills and such we got what we asked for. That's my only upgrade as since it wasn't super busy, it would have been nice for the staff to catch the refills on water or salsa on their own/more proactively but hey, it was again a relaxed lowkey night and the staff couldn't have been lovelier. I'm just curious how the service would be if they were super busy? Now on to the food and drinks. The menu was very impressive! Solid cocktail and drinks menu. I'm bummed I didn't get a cocktail but my party doesn't drink so it was more fun to get an agua Fresca with them. The guava one was good and served nicely chilled. However, next time I'll definitely get a cocktail because their drinks looked fun and beautiful. The food was definitely the standout for me. I ordered the cheese enchiladas Suizas and they were a 10/10. Not comparable to most enchiladas I've had but the sauce was fantastic and unique. I really loved these enchiladas and I'd honestly get them again. Solid flavor in the rice and beans as well. My friends also enjoyed their meal and it seemed like everyone was happy. The pricing is a little steep for Mexican food but also the ambiance and presentation make sense to me why it'd be a little more. For the three of us the bill was over $100. And that's for three mains and three non-alcoholic drinks. Normally at $33-ish a person I'd hope for at least a beer with my enchiladas, so keep that in mind. As a special occasion place or a spot to celebrate this spot is truly fantastic. I honestly loved my meal so much that even with the price point I'd rush back and bring more friends because this spot is vibey. Nice staff and a cute spot to diner, 5 stars in my books given the quality, taste of the food and the overall experience.

The food tastes fresh, homemade, and not overly greasy like a lot of Mexican spots can be. You can tell they actually care about what they're serving. The portions are generous without being over the top, and everything comes out hot and well prepared. I've tried a couple different things now and nothing has disappointed. The flavors are spot on and feel authentic. The staff has been helpful and patient both times, which makes a big difference, especially when you're deciding what to order. Service is friendly and you don't feel rushed, which makes it a great place to sit and enjoy your meal. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming. Seating was comfortable and they have booths, chairs and an outside patio. My Fajitas did not come with cheese and they charged an additional $1.50 which I think is fair, but cheese should come with the dish. We enjoyed the food and will come back.

What happened on my most recent visit (Feb 7, around 1 p.m.) was deeply concerning. I was falsely accused by management of making an "inappropriate" comment to a hostess--without any specifics, without verification, and without any meaningful opportunity to clarify. My only interaction with that employee was a brief request for Sweet'N Low at the front counter. There was no conversation beyond that. Despite this, I was confronted and warned I could be banned if it "happened again." This is the second time this manager has made incorrect accusations toward me. I had no conversation whatsoever with the hostess. A Better Business Bureau complaint has been filed. They acknowledged it and requested a response from Yolanda's. To date, there has been no response to BBB or to my direct written correspondence. When a business does not respond to formal complaints and fails to verify serious allegations before confronting customers, that raises broader concerns about how situations are handled. Longtime customer--but this was a serious and unacceptable experience. This is a warning for others
