This location does a fantastic job in delivering and being consistent food, quality, cleanliness, and service above and beyond each and every time that I've come to this location for the last four years. So I'm a huge fan of jersey mikes and they make the subs great here and the employees are friendly and helpful. The problem is that the prices here are more expensive than the other two jersey mikes in simi. For that reason I try and avoid it now. If you get two subs it ends up being around $5 more. read more

After standing and waiting for almost 30 minutes an employee-dark haired guy with a huge rhinestone earring-told me to "please sit down because we can't have you standing around." I believe this is the best Jersey Mike's around, and I've been to many. Don't get me wrong, I like all the Jersey Mike's locations, but I love this location. I had many opportunities to stop at other locations, but this is the best run local. Their sandwiches are always fresh and made well. Food is always ready when ordering ahead for pick up at specified time. Staff and manager are always polite and attentive. The restaurant is always clean and bright and great for dine in. I will start by saying my family has been coming to this jersey mikes for the last 5 years. This review is for service. I placed my order at 12 noon on the mobile app, it stated that it would be ready at 12:30. I arrived at the restaurant at 12:25. I then waited off to the side and after waiting 20 mins I finally said something to a staff member working behind the counter and after waiting and additional 10 minutes I received my order at 12:55. I understand things get backed up especially on a weekend but there is never an excuse for poor customer service and rude behavior from staff towards customers. I would write down the names of the people working there but they didn't have name tags on conveniently. First off the order was almost 30 mins late, then a staff member working behind the counter was rude and very disrespectful. He raised his voice at an elderly woman standing next to me. He said "stop hovering over the counter your food will be ready soon" then he told her to sit down. The look on her face was pure shock. She hadn't said anything she was just standing quietly waiting patiently. I then told him we have all been waiting for a long time. He then hands everyone a cup to get a drink as if that makes up for him being rude and the orders all being late. Once I finally got my food the order was missing an item. Needless to say I am very disappointed in the service and how rude the staff was. All employees should have name tags and be taught how to be respectful towards customers. Managers need to do a better job training their employees or they will lose business. I also called the number on the receipt to report the issue and the phone line just rings and says voicemail full. Next time I want jersey mikes I will drive out of my way to go to a different location. The staff is usually always kind and attentive at this location and I have never had issues with orders missing items or poor customer service. I didn't recognize one person working in there today. I don't know if this location is under new management but they definitely have some issues they need to work out. read more

I'm very disappointed in this location. I love jersey mikes and go very often. However this location likes to drench the sandwiches with oil, therefore the bread is inedible because it's so soggy and disgusting looking. Even after asking for light dressing, they just go to town with it! This has happened to me three times now from only this location. I don't know where to start. The sandwich was the best sandwich I have ever had. 44 buffalo was 11/10. The sauce was perfect and the meat was amazing. Sandwich just dripping the buffalo sauce. I told them how awesome they were and the cashier gave me a free drink for that, which is even better. This store is the prime definition of customer service and good energy. Idk how they don't have more reviews saying so, I just assume that's because all their loyal customers just go there everyday. My first time I walked to the store, the employees polite at first. I decided to go with the "Buffalo chicken sandwich" to dine in. Ones I got the sandwich I just unwrapped it & it was just horribly made!! Like literally there was no place for me to grab the sandwich it was all spilled out from the sandwich, very soggy. So I approached back to the same guy that took my order, employee "ROB". & gently ask Him to please come over & look at the sandwich because it was just a disaster. So he came by looked at the sandwich and he raised his shoulders and shook his head and literally walked back over to the counter... like really!! Is that how you guys do Costomer service???? So I kindly sat there for about 10 minutes patiently waiting to see if he's going to come and tell me what he's going to do with the situation, so about ten minutes later I was really hungry I couldn't sit there anymore I walked approached him and asked him what's happening with my sandwich? & he starts yelling at me, "they are making you a new one"!! This morning I was running a quick errand with my son to the ups store next door one of my items needed a bag or a box which they were charging $14 dollars for an individual box so I said I'd be right back and walked into jersey mikes to see if they had an extra box or a clear bag I could use for my return. Immediately rob and his crew were so helpful and funny. They knew we needed a chuckle! Once we bagged up the return I walked back to the UPS Store and I was told no the clear bag wouldn't work so I gave up and was walking back to my car when rob ran out and asked what happened I said she told me no they won't except a clear bag he marched me, my baby and our return back in the store had them box it up and paid for it. What a bummer! I've been driving all the way from Moorpark to this Jersey location for years cuz it was in my opinion the best location around. I live a low-carb lifestyle, so Jersey's is a treat and something I really look forward to once a month. This is the 2nd time I've been there where the lady running the register is also touching everyone's food. She handles dirty coins and bills then wraps up the sandwiches, over and over again. Maybe I'm a germophobe, but that's nasty in my opinion. There's absolutely no point in wearing gloves if you're going to simply go back and forth between the register and food prepping. Specifically an older woman got sassy and talked bad about me behind the counter because I came in early to pick up an order (I placed the order online thinking it'd be easier for them). If a customer is early to pick up a sandwich before the designated pickup time it shouldn't be a big deal but she still felt the need to talk about me with me right there as well as to toss my sandwich onto the counter instead of placing it into the bag like her nicer coworkers. OK so Jersey Mike's is really good we have noticed depending on the location there is some issues when it comes to handling gluten-free food versus not. This just comes down to the employees knowing what an allergy means and how to accommodate it. The Jersey Mike's close to our house is really good about making sure that my sandwich is safe for me to eat and not have any cross-contamination. The Simi one also is very good about that. just went into Jersey Mike's on L.A. & First st. wow, I was shocked. it compelled me to write a review right away (before I forgot). The staff was very courteous and friendly, there was a time when that was just expected, if they weren't, the business would fail. However most small businesses, particularly restaurants, just don't place a great deal of value on that lately. There were 3 people working the counter and they were all friendly and helpful, making sure I was taken care of. It's refreshing to deal with decent and courteous people that make an effort rather than just doing what needs to be done and moving on; so I thought I'd put it out there. I will support small businesses that make a clear effort to treat people right, and I assume they take good care of their employees which results in them passing it on to the customer. Thanks for the good service and an exceptional staff. Other businesses should visit and take note of the staff, maybe pay a decent wage and you'll get some quality people working for your business as well. It pays off on the end.
