Just want to say this is our favorite place to eat and enjoy! ESPECIALLY for my great grandson who loves Eva the robot and all the servers! However just found out today they took out two of my most favorite s in their menu..Salisbury steak dinner and the Hot turkey sandwich! This is sad because those were my very favorites any time of the day or night! Sad to say.. now I may not be frequenting IHOP as much as I have in the past! 11/23/19 11:20pm We came here after attending a marching band competition. With my wife being pregnant and being nauseous from not eating. We sat and reviewed the menu. Upon placing the order, we advised that our nephew had a dairy allergy and to not put any extra butter or whip cream on his pancakes. We have eaten at many ihops before for years with no issues at all. After a very long wait. Our server Mario came to our table and said that our food was ready but his manager Oli ( server refused to give last name of manager or himself) refused to serve our nephew any pancakes. Instead they offered him a salad. We advised him that we have never had an issue before and we won't hold IHOP responsible for serving the pancakes the way we described. Oli would still not serve our 13 year old nephew. We decided to leave since our nephew started crying. This was the worst experience ever. Not only did we not eat, but my nephew wouldn't stop crying and kept blaming himself for us not being served. I will be contacting corporate on this. The fact that no one here has any education on how to handle food allergies rather than to tell a customer "we can not serve your kind here" is scary. read more

I ordered Crepes togo and when I got home it was packed with what I thought was the vanilla cream and two sides of strawberry glaze sauce, but I was wrong! When I poured what should have been the vanilla cream, it was a dijon mustard dressing! My crepes were ruined! When I called IHop back to report that they put the wrong condiments in my crepe box, they had the nerve to say I was mistaken, that they do not have that kind of dressing. I said I would like a replacement order and they said we can replace your condiments and I said no, I would like a new order of crepes because they were ruined! They said please hold...I was told they would make a new order with the same condiments they put in before... The lesson I learned: make sure to check what condiments you get with your meals before pouring on to your food. Thankfully they remade my food and when i handed the lady my dijon drenched crepes, she said she believed me because she smelled the dijon aroma coming off the crepes Ugh! read more

I love IHOP...since I was able to go out and eat breakfast on my own. I love their Swedish crepes and I will continue to come back again and again for them. On this particular visit the restaurant was quiet which usually by 730am business is starting to pick up. I was there solo and I ordered an omelet and my usual Swedish crepes. I feel like over the years the quality of the food has gone down though. I didn't get a refill on coffee although I asked for and I even made a point to push my cup a little over so the server would see. No coffee refill. I sat, finished my breakfast, read a little from the book I brought and left. But like I said, I LOVE those Swedish crepes so I will still return. read more

Sunday outdoor dining for breakfast in midst of covid, Ihop at this location, gets my vote for best setup outdoors and the servers worked hard hauling heavy dishes back and forth from kitchen to the parking lot setup. I ordered curbside for my birthday. When I notified them that I was there the girl who brought my food out seemed like she was in a bad mood. When she handed me my food I checked the bag and noticed I was missing butter. She brought butter out to me and proceeded to scold me. Our table was great. We had multiple people serving us, getting our orders and getting us refills on drinks and fries. Everything tasted great and they are called the International House of Pancakes for good reason. Also, I'm one of those folks who will eat breakfast at any meal. I was disturbed by an interaction between a solo patron and one of the server's. IHOP had just turned 60 years old as a company and to celebrate, they had a off menu promotion where an order of a short stack of pancakes was 60-cents. The patron is a black man and he had some clarification questions. While the server was helpful and answered the questions, there was an overly assertive way he answered the questions. Mind you, I'm fairly callous so if I picked up on it I'm certain the patron did too. It was rather rude they way he was treated. This was the only interaction I'd witnessed with this server and I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt. I cannot say his attitude had anything to do with the patron. It could have been any number of reasons. If that was the impression I had given, I apologize. Being a server in a busy restaurant is hard work. It's good to remember the service is why many of us enjoy going out to eat. Otherwise we could stay home and serve ourselves. Now this is the place to go for a good breakfast! The staff there are friendly, the food is good, the coffee is hot, and the orange juice is fresh! I can even order dinner for breakfast! WHAT?! YES! We were a party 8 and explained we'd wait for the rest of the party to be seated since apparently we had to all be present to be seated ( other locations have never done this to us ) the manager said she would give a 15 min grace period @ 9:45 less then 2 mins later @9:47 she states she was only waiting 5 mins more. She even went as far as saying she couldn't sit us all at the same table nor at the same time. We brought up the fact that she had seated a family of 10 at one table without a problem she said they had been waiting since 7:30 mind you this is 2 hours later!!! What a great service especially for having an empty restaurant! She didn't care was very immature and rude ! She even had an attitude when It came to speaking to us! But the other family gets the best treatment? Discrimination if you ask me. I will definitely be calling in this incident! We were not the only party who left due to her poor customer service. When she was asked about the polices and why it was different at the other locations she completely blew us off and was rude making us uncomfortable til the point that we left. As a " manager " you should be able to educate and answer questions in a polite and professional manner. She was even beyond rude to the other staff members demanding them to do different tasks and frustrated while doing so! This place is actually outstanding for a chain of dinners. It might just be this particular location; service, food quality and overall appearance of this location is really good. Apart from the chunky menu items that IHOP is know for, they do offer a huge range of "healthy" items for lunch breakfast and dinner, which to me is amazing. They even chart the calories for each meal. The interior is a little too 70's, with the plastic feeling and slightly dull colors, despite that, this place is clean, neat and is well maintained, therefore I have not much to complain about it. Sure the place could use a little upgrade to the 20th century, nevertheless its not disturbing. The menu is always updated and feels new and looks new, not ripped or anything like that. The service here is exceptional, one server worth mentioning is gayland, who is really efficient and is really good at his work as a server, very polite, courteous, ad enthusiastic. The other staff is also really good, and I have not experience bad service so far. Now the food, I won't go far to say this is gourmet or home made quality kind of food, but for a chain, this place sometimes can be better than Denny's in terms of portion, quality and taste. The IHOP specialty which of course happens to be their waffles and pancakes is to die for. My favorite however is the high protein salads, or chicken poblano omelette. Price wise it can be expensive, where per meal is $7 or more, but with the service, quality of food, and huge portion, this place is actually value for money. read more

Cashier/Waitress was extremely rude and demeaning towards us from the moment we walked in the door. Telling us not to touch the doors because now she has to sanitize them which is ridiculous because how else are we suppose to enter. Then she proceeds to tell us we should have ordered over the phone if we wanted a to go order, when they wouldn't answer the phone because they weren't open yet and we showed up at 7am when they opened to obviously place our order. We placed our order then she crumbled the menu we touched and tossed it in the trash while looking at us to make a point that we wasted their menu for placing a order in the establishment. Our order was not cooked the way I requested and I knew it was going to happen for the fact that she had a attitude taking our order and I could see her not writing my specifications on how I wanted my eggs etc. I will never return to be treated this way again. read more

Normally I go to this one often due to its cleanliness and great hospitality as well. Very sweet and kind servers and food isn't always the top tier but it's not in the bad area at the very least. Servers are nice, not a long wait time, and a very well lit and friendly environment for everyone of all ages. read more

My boyfriend and I love to go to breakfast on Sunday mornings, it's our only day off together so we make the most of it. Recently we chose to go to IHOP. Waited 15 minutes to get sat, we get seated and here comes our waitress. She came to us a total of 7 times before actually taking our drink order. Every time she came to us she said 'oh I forgot to close them out' ran off. 'Oh I need to get blah blah' ran off. Everytime. When she finally came back, before she could say anything, I told her our drinks and she just stared at me. Order our app and entree, and before we get the food, someone drops off our bill. Now, I used to be a server for many years and I still have nightmares about breakfast/brunch rush, I know it's about turn over, but THAT is not okay. I was very upset because I knew that we wouldn't be seeing our server anymore. And we didn't. We had to ask other servers (which I hate doing) it was so annoying! Finally she comes out and says 'oh here's your bill! Can I pay it now?' I gave her a dirty look and handed her my card and told my boyfriend '$4 tip'. That's the lowest I've ever tipped someone. Took all I had to not leave anything but I couldn't. Yolanda is her name. A little advice, always have your strongest servers on for Sunday morning breakfast. She was awful. read more

Glad to see these guys are getting at LEAST a 3-4 star rating. I've had my share of bad IHOP experiences (looking at you Fresno location..) but these guys go out of their way to be good servers and deliver food that they care about making. It's hard to find that consistency in a restaurant these days. My wife got me hooked on the buttermilk pancakes with chocolate chips. And I tend to get the french toast or crepe combos. I totally understand how the corporate and their policies work, I've been an iHop customer from over 3 decades many times I had good experience and sometimes just run into a server, who either feel privileged to make an independent decisions to be rude to their customers by not offering/ suggesting deals but rather Upselling. Also the brown girl with the tattoo had an amazingly impolite attitude. I myself been the owner of various businesses and into customer service industry forever. Waited for 40 minutes to get a text from the host who apparently wrote down the wrong phone number, when corrected there was NO apology for her delaying us and just rude remarks that she called out our name and that we would have to wait EVEN LONGER because of HER mistake, which she would not admit. We were waiting right outside of the restaurant and were never called. Needs to be FIRED ASAP. Great location by the Clovis mall. They usually are packed with lots of people, but they move quick to get you seated. They are great with accommodating large parties. I surprisingly like their burgers. I think IHOP can maybe change their fires to be more seasoned. But the burgers are really juicy. The staff is friendly and quick. And of course their pancakes are good. read more

The service at this location was wonderful. The staff was quick, welcoming and pleasant. The food tasted good and my sons were in love with the pancakes but the establishment is dirty. Some of the silverware had caked on food on it! I didn't want to be that person that asks for new forks. Besides I didn't expect new cutlery to be any cleaner so I ate my omelet with a tea spoon. I started out going to get a burger, then I decided something with more choices, so I swung into the Sweet River Grill but something whispered in my ear...."Wafffffles, Waaaaafffffles." Then I turned to the right and it was the IHOP. Who doesn't love that carafe of coffee? Those overly sweet crepes? Those fluffy waffles? Here's the scoop: I got the Chicken and Waffles. The "waffles" was 1 waffle. Not "waffles". The chicken was Chicken Strips. Having said that, it wasn't terrible. Although the waffles weren't crispy, they did taste okay. The chicken strips weren't great but they had a nice spicy kick, they were crunchy and succulent, even though they came from what I can only assume to be a bag with the name "TYSON" on it. I ordered the side salad with balsamic dressing. It was standard. I got the salad quickly and by the time I took 4 bites, my food came. So I didn't finish the salad anyway because it tasted like old plastic bag. It wasn't gourmet, it wasn't close to Rosco's but hey, it's IHOP. It was clean inside, the waitress was very good. It totaled approximately $13.00 + $3 tip. Disappointing price wise for what you get. Still, I was full and it was a waffle and it was chicken...so... As I drove off I wasn't disappointed except for the fact that I didn't leave room for some froyo. Damn. I'm giving IHOP 3 stars. 2 because the service and cleanliness of the place was nice. 1 more star because of the food. So, it's OK. read more

Coming here to compare the Ihop experience to Denny's (which I will have visited before I complete this review). I will order wheat pancakes, egg whites, sausage, hash browns, and coffee at each place. Our drinks were quick to arrive but no waitress or our waitress has yet to come back to take our order and we knew what we wanted 1 minute after sitting down. Bad service so far. There is a coffee pot at each table so I suppose I am to refill myself. The hash browns were bland and not as crispy as I'd like. The egg whites and sausage were good and the grain nut whatever pancakes I got were good and kind of tasted like pumpkin bread. Delicious. The coffee smelled cheap. $24.25 for two people with drinks. My husband and I went here for breakfast last weekend. I'm not usually a fan of breakfast, but was very impressed with the service and quality of food. I'm super picky when it comes to breakfast, as it is NOT my favorite meal..but my egg whites, sausage, and whole grain pancakes with apples were cooked perfectly (a little burned as requested), and my husband loved his bacon, sausage, pancakes and hash browns. The coffee was fresh and strong but not ashy or bitter--so perfectly balanced that I didn't even need to add any sugar! The portions were perfect for a filling meal, and the price was decent. Our waiter, Steve(?) was attentive, but not overbearing. We had very enjoyable meal, and will definitely be back! read more
