The replacement took about 30 minutes, after we had already waited roughly 40 minutes for our original food. We also rarely saw our server throughout the meal, although his assistant was very kind and attentive. The potatoes and asparagus were overcooked, lacked flavor, and overall the sides were underwhelming as well. What surprised me most was still being charged for the steak after it took two attempts and I barely ate it. For a restaurant with such strong reviews and a high price point that comes with it, I expected much better quality and service. I understand many people seem to love this place, but based on my experience, I would be unlikely to return and personally would not recommend it.

Great food, but reminds me of this horrible person I knew. Let's call her "Natasha". Me and Natasha went to the same school together, she came to our school one year and became best friends with my two besties. I met her my 6th grade year, and felt something was off. A month passed and we had a project together with two of my other friends she wasn't close with. This was a pretty big project and she was the "leader", but she didn't do anything, she sat there and bossed us around, telling us to do things that would've ruined the project. She didn't even do any work, she only contributed by writing two 5 sentence paragraphs and talking to her friends the rest of the time. Anyway, we got a good grade, and I thought that was the end. Yet, throughout the year, this jerk shamed my closest friend, then acted the victim, forced us to buy her lululemon or she would be the victim of bad friends, made us stop talking to one another, and this isn't even the tip of the ice burgh. Remember, I never liked her from the beginning. Well, my first best friend had enough at the end of the year and cut all ties to her, my second best friend took a while to realize she was toxic, but she cut ties with her. The rest of the friend group stopped talking to her, I hand cut almost all ties to her like 6 months before everyone else. Then, we hear that in our 7th grade year she started doing drugs, she even got caught in the restroom vaping. I am so glad that toxic jerk is out of my life, everything is so much better. Anyway, I loved the food, but I kept thinking of that b-word. read more

Well, well, well, if it isn't IHOP - International House of Pancakes, or as I like to call it, the International House of PIGGING OUT! I recently tried their Mushroom and Spinach Omelette with a side of bacon, and let me tell you, I was oinking with joy. The bacon was so plentiful, I felt like I was in a pig pen. And speaking of pigs, the waitress must have thought I was one because I had to practically scream my order at her to get it across. But lucky for me, she heard me loud and clear and I got even more bacon! Bacon bacon bacon, it was like a dream come true. Now, while the communication may have been a bit lacking, the service was still top-notch. Despite the busy atmosphere, I always get seated quickly and the waitstaff is always running around like chickens with their heads cut off to make sure everything is just right. And let me tell you, the coffee was so good, it was like I was drinking liquid gold. The only downside was the watery orange juice, but hey, you can't win 'em all. And while the hash browns were nothing to write home about, this is still a great place to hang out with family and friends and enjoy the moment. So if you're looking for a place to indulge your inner pig, IHOP is the place to be! read more

I Recently Visited IHop in Brea, and i was thoroughly impressed! From the moment i walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff made us feel welcome right away, and our server, Sonia, was absolutely fantastic. She was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. It's rare to see such excellent service, and Sonia really went above and beyond. The Food was delicious! the T-Bone Steak was delicious and cooked to the way I wanted it, and don't get me started on the pancakes. It's clear that the team at IHop works hard to provide a great dining experience, and it truly shows. I'll definitely be coming back, and i highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and excellent service. read more

My Grandmother and I went out for breakfast yesterday morning and our experience was not great at all the host was very nice very on top of it but the management is not good nor the server. I was a server for 3 years so I know when a plate has been under the lamp for too long waiting to be brought to the client. Dry food . When ever we want to have a nice good Breakfast this was our go to but yesterday was very disappointing not going back again . I hope with this review shows management to make sure fresh food and great quality and great service is required to run a restaurant If Servers are overwhelmed hire more people so they don't feel overwhelmed. read more

Having been to a wide variety of IHOPs over the years, I have to say I was very pleased with my first visit to the new Brea location. During a trip through SoCal to visit friends I had a craving for a bacon omelet and decided to give the Brea location a try. I'm not an overly picky eater when it comes to my meals, but nothing can ruin an experience like an abundance of grease and luke warm temperature. Needless to say my meal was delicious, the bacon was crisp, and my coffee was well attended to. The service staff was efficient, friendly, and (above all) prompt. Thumbs up, Brea IHOP. I didn't realize this IHOP had opened so close to where I work , a friend and I came in today for the first time . I was surprised at how new and clean it was . I love the strawberry French toast and this place did it great !!!! They looked busy but the guy up front told us 5 min and I told him yeah right . He laughed and said ok maybe 4 min ! He wasn't kidding we got sat and had our food all in less than 10 min . Service was awesome food was great , all round the best IHOP I've been to . Owners should be ashamed of themselves for letting a beautiful place with pleasant service turn into such a soured spot in the city . She recommended it so my friend ordered it. I ordered the steak and lobster since it's 29.99 on Wednesdays. The steak was tender although a bit dry, and the lobster was good. The baked potato would have been great with a bit more sour cream, because the rest of the potato was dry without it. The lobster dip was really good though. I can swim in that stuff!! The saddest Shakeys…read more.. With the saddest salad bar with limpy lettuce, a few other choices.. not worth $9.99. Then came the saltiest fried chicken. I wanted the chicken Shakey's is know for. We got fried salt! Growing up with Shakey's being a place for Birthdays, family gatherings, or just to have some pizza, this location was so depressing! The one good thing here? Hmmm, the restrooms were clean.
