Come hungry! We came in hungry after a day of swimming and ordered the family meal. 2 pizza, 8 pieces of chicken, and mojos! The mojos are perfectly seasoned and crisp. You cannot match this taste anywhere else only Shakey's can make a perfect mojo! The pizza is the best quality of ingredients with perfect consistency with topping and sauce! The service was impeccable and friendly! Just an all around best place to enjoy PIZZA! Vibes are popping! Bring your dollars for the arcade

This is the Shakey's I remember as a kid and am used to in other locations! Hot, fresh, well portioned! Keep this up!! 10/10

This the best shakeys around. The chicken is always fresh and flavorful. The buffet is always clean and fresh. Always so good. They do special request for pizza for the buffet. The owner is so nice and staff is always helpful.

Service was great! Food was as expected. The fried chicken and fries were good! The unlimited salad bar was good as well. It wasn't crowded when we went which was nice. The reason I'm giving 4 stars is because out of the 6 high chairs only 1 had a working seat belt and none of them were really clean.

Clean salad bar, at least at dinner time. Fried chicken is surprisingly good. Wings are not sauced, and you have to dress them yourself with tapatio or red hot from the to-go station. Beer was cold, and glasses chilled, although $8 for a regular draft glass. Food is consistent and staff is fairly nice, if not exhausted. It's just getting expensive to eat out here. This is not my usual Shakey's, but we were in the area and wanted to do the bunch of lunch so decided to give this location a try. The parking lot is a decent size. There are other business in the same shopping complex but it was still easy to find parking right in front. We got there maybe 15 minutes before they opened and there were a few people in line and some people who have already started eating. The cashier in the front, I wish I would have got his name, was super friendly and since we had already seen that there was no pan pepperoni or cheese pizza, for my son, we asked him if we could place an order for those and he happily let the cooks in the back know. Now one issue I had was there was no pizza that was just plain peperoni and cheese it had other items added. You would think at a buffet they would have the most popular items. Yes, we placed an order for what we wanted but still there was really no other options for us or especially my son who is a picky eater. It took about 20 minutes for the pizza we wanted to come out but took about an additonal 10 minutes for my sons cheese to come out. When we asked another worker he told us the cheese pizza was just placed and there were tons of other request in front of us. This was obviously not true as we placed them both at the same time. The first worker who we initial placed the request with saw what was happening and insured us it would be coming up next. He was right as within a few minutes it was out. So again, I wish I would have got the young man's name, but he is what honestly made me change this review from being a 3 star to a 4-star review. As far as seating this location is pretty decently sized. The location I normally go to is a bit bigger, but I did not see anyone struggling to find a seat. There is also a small arcade for the kids. Each game seems to be about $1. This location is a little out of my way, so I don't see myself coming back anytime soon but for a Shakey's bunch of lunch it served its purpose.

    Nostalgic--my first plate (several plates)

It's been a long time since we did the lunch buffet at Shakey's so we decided to try it again for old time's sake. There's plenty of parking spaces as business around Shakey's we're not operating during the weekends. Once you enter, it's a time warp -- same, old 80s look and furnitures looked like it haven't been refreshed. The food bar seems very limited. For a pizza place, the pizza was not as good as expected and not as good as I remember. The fried chickens were not replenished. The quality went down there. The potato wedges were great and as good as I remember. The salad I never bother eating because who has time for that. All in all, it was ok but not great. Some place to go if you can't think of anything better to eat for lunch.

Tony's Little Italy "authentic" Chicago Deep Dish Pizza is a $10 pizza masquerading as a $42 pizza…read more Tony's "Chicago-Style" (it only looks like one) is closer to Little Caesar's than a true Chicago masterpiece. I tried Tony's Little Italy Pizza in Placentia for the first time and I can attest that THIS IS IN NO-WAY AN "AUTHENTIC CHICAGO DEEP DISH PIZZA" as advertised. It's not even close. I can't fault the enthusiasm of family frontmen like Taylor or his Uncle, Tony, for their contagious enthusiasm for their product, but all other comparisons end there. I lived in Chicago for more than a decade working for Leo Burnett Advertising/Chicago where the real Chicago deep dish pizza's, the standards by which you would judge "authentic," are Giordano's, Gino's East, Pizzaria Uno, and Lou Malnati's (a distant 4th in the rankings). These pizzas are HEAVY with quality ingredients and though deep dish, the crust is something that never gets in the way. In TRUE CHICAGO DEEP DISH PIZZA ingredients are 90% of the pizza, the crust 10% or less. The opposite is the case at Tony's where they make pizza's that are ALL dough and FEW ingredients. Tony's Little Italy Pizza offers a poor rendition of true Chicago Deep Dish Pizza. I ordered a 12" sausage, spinach, and mushroom - the exact same pizza I'd order at Giordano's, Gino's East, Pizzaria UNO, or Lou Malnati's countless times. What I got was a pizza that is 90% tasteless dried bread called a crust and a few tablespoons of ingredients (sausage, spinach, mushrooms) disguised under a heavy tomato sauce. In many places the unappetizing crust extended all the way to the surface hidden only by the tomato sauce topping on my pizza. Looks good but the deception ends there. I got almost no cheese, few mushrooms, skimpy sausage, and miserly spinach. This may be what one call's Chicago STYLE (and that's what Tony's should call it) pizza out here on the west coast, but this pizza definitely would not carry its own weight in Chicago. If you've eaten Chicago Deep Dish Pizza in Chicago where I've been you will easily be able to relate to everything I am saying. If you've never had a real Chicago Deep Dish Pizza then be forewarned. This isn't the real deal. It's what Little Caesar's would do if they tried to sell Chicago Deep Dish Pizza. All dough, no substance. As Scotty said in Star Trek TOS, " Fool me once-shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." We won't be going back. Appearances are deceiving!

Date of visit: Sep 8, 2026…read more What a disappointing birthday dinner. I came here with high hopes of finding one of those hidden-gem, hole-in-the-wall Italian places, but unfortunately, it all ended up blowing up in my face. The biggest problem was simple: everything--from the soup to the main dishes--was way too salty. We were a party of six, and three of us ordered pasta with the garlic cream sauce: the Pescatore, Shrimp & Scallop, and Clam. The sauce wasn't thickened enough, so it was much too soupy for a pasta dish, and the taste of white wine was very prominent. The garlic cream sauce was salty too, although nowhere near as crazy salty as the Chicken Piccata, Tortellini Giovanni, and Minestrone. Chicken Piccata: Like everything else we tried, this dish was just way too salty. The lemon-butter sauce was completely overwhelmed by the capers, and eating it honestly felt like shoveling forkfuls of salt into my mouth. The only saving grace was the chicken itself, which was cooked well and had a nice golden-brown exterior. Tortellini Giovanni: Just okay. I've definitely had better. The cheese filling inside the tortellini wasn't particularly good, although the Italian sausage was pretty tasty. The more I ate, though, the saltier, heavier, and oilier the dish seemed to get. Overall, there was really nothing special about it. Minestrone: SO salty that I couldn't even finish it. I'm not sure if this is simply their recipe or if the soup had been refrigerated and reheated to the point where some of the water had evaporated, leaving the salt increasingly concentrated. It's too bad because the underlying flavor was actually there--it was just completely ruined by the amount of salt. Pizza: Just okay. The dough wasn't bad, and I actually liked that it had some chewiness to it. But for the price, I'd rather go somewhere else. I really wanted to love this place, especially since this was my birthday dinner. I wasn't expecting fancy or perfect--I was hoping for a charming little hole-in-the-wall with really good, comforting Italian food. Unfortunately, we left super disappointed.

Well, fast forward to this year...and HE was the one who suggested we finally give it a try! We are SO glad we listened to him! The pizza here reminds me of the kind of pizza I would eat in Italy. We chose to sit in the outdoor rooftop and the ambience was lovely, very cozy. We got the lump crab and avocado stack for an appetizer and it was so delicious! Crispy and well seasoned chips with fresh ingredients in the stack. My parents got the artisan pizza and the arugula salad with salmon and said it was delicious, especially raving about the dressing for the salad and the wonderful amount of meat on the pizza I got the wood fired mushroom pizza and it was soooo good. The crème fraiche wasn't overwhelming and the flavors were just spectacular. Definitely recommend for a nice and cozy dinner in the Yorba Linda area!
