What a most fun place to eat...amazing variety of different foods. Enjoy a visit mostly...

I've been searching for a Chinese buffet for him since we hit the road and I finally found one close to our drop off location. I liked the overall decor of this place, from the statues that greet you to the coin fountain. We came here around 7:30 within a hour and a half of them closing. Now usually that means you'd run into empty trays, or cold food in general.. But not here! We came on a thursday night to a packed parking lot and that's ALWAYS a good sign. The food was hot and the employees did a good job at keeping everything full and clean. I basically tried one of everything and I ate so much that I was disgusted with myself. My hubby ate the fried crab and said it had a funny taste, but I learned a long time ago that crab and buffets isn't for me. All of my food was flavorful but my plantain was bad, it had a mushy texture in the center and the flavor was off, oh but their lo mein which is what I look for the most was my absolute fave! I would go back just to order a to go container of that alone! I wasn't a fan of the sushi, that's the one thing that could've used some more attention and their version of the dynamite roll was just rice and avacado: basic and flavorless. But, I will say that the raw salmon in my salmon roll was fresh so that was a plus. read more

My only regret during our dining experience was not coming in here sooner. I would see Ichiban Buffet every time I go to Walmart and finally got a chance to dine in. Although the parking lot was full, there was no wait. Food selection and quality was amazing. They have many popular Asian dishes, and their sushi was surprisingly good considering it's a buffet. But my favorite was their Mongolian grill. It's so hard to find a quality Mongolian grill, and theirs is on point. I did the teriyaki & house special sauce, which is Mongolian sauce. So so good. Can't wait to go back. read more

This was the first time in a long time that we have been at an all you can eat Chinese Buffet since New Jersey! They did not disappoint, the place was very clean, the restrooms were clean, the service was fantastic and boy oh boy all that food was so so good!! So glad we took the 30 minute drive to St. Augustine and would definitely come back again and again!!! read more

Terrible even for a Chinese buffet. Everyone felt awful afterwards. Even the egg rolls taste weird. What Chinese place can't make an egg roll? Two stars instead of one because service was fast and friendly but OMG! avoid this place! read more

You'll be hard-pressed to find a buffet this good at such a reasonable price. It's no wonder the place is packed with locals, it's an amazing deal. Food quality is excellent. Sushi is fresh and good variety. Standard Chinese dishes are tasty. They even have a good serve-yourself ice cream (scoop, not from a machine). They have a few things for people who aren't as into ethnic food and for the kids. They also have a buffet to go, and I saw a few of the local construe workers taking advantage of that option. It's not world-class, but a pod buffet and the best food value in town, hands-down. It looks like everyone already knows, but in case we weren't the last to find out, I'm letting you know now. read more

It's your typical Chinese buffet, but clean. Not sure how long they've been open, but it was good. Grandkids liked it. Prices decent. We will definitely be back. read more

Won't be back. Smells like sewage. I saw the guy prepping sushi drop a whole block of cream cheese on the floor, look around, then proceed to pick it up off the floor and return to the counter to cut and serve. I informed the manager and she talked to the guy whom told her that he did not do it. Smh There were several children picking at the food on the buffet with their fingers. Disgusting. read more

It is a Chinese buffet, don't expect it to be something else. I would avoid everything but the crawfish, clam, sushi, and dessert. Don't waste your time with other dishes. Other people in my group tried and was disappointed one after another. The crawfish was fresh however, and not salty. The clams were fresh too. The sushi weren't bad either. The desserts weren't too sweet so it was good. The hibachi is okay too. Nothing special. Its a place for a quick lunch after visiting the beautiful city of St. Augustine. The restaurant is clean. The price is reasonable. read more

Be careful, they changed the prices and now they add to your bill a 15 % gratuity (TIP) Without telling. In a normal restaurant when being served is one thing but when you serve yourself it's different. Note we always leave a large tip. read more

First impression, when walking into this restaurant, is not really good! We almost left! It looks dirty, dingy and has a moldy smell! We decided to give it a chance. The buffet had lots of food choices. Most of the food we tried was good. My husband had a crab and it did not taste right! He described the taste as ammonia. I'm not an expert, but when I googled this, seafood with ammonia smell and/or taste is indicative of it being spoiled, or prepared poorly. Luckily he did not get sick. The place in general needs a good clean! Please clean the waste baskets in the bathroom!!!! They are disgusting!!!! You can purchase new ones at the dollar store for cheap! Service was the usual of a Chinese buffet! No communication between wait staff and customer! Would not return! read more

Typical Chinese buffet serving typical unhealthy heavily saltedluke warm food. I had sushi that was ok, and I tried the hibachi, which was cooked the way I ordered it and passable. It's an excellent place to grab a quick bite when nobody knows what they want to eat. This is a chain with many locations read more

If you don't get there during the week by 11:30, food will not be hot an hour later and barely anything left. They don't replenish as needed. read more

First time eating there today. And the last.. won't be going back. Unsanitary conditions in the whole place, dirty sticky floor, sticky plastic plates, sticky tables. Food is less than appealing. Their prices are very cheap, it attracts a big crowd who might not care what they eat or how it's made. read more

Very good food choices including freshly made sushi. Nice balance of fried and non-fried choices along with fresh fruit and salad. Wait staff very attentive and kept tables and carpet clean between customers. Ice cream freezer needs replacing kind of gross people digging in with only one ice cream scooper and potential for hair etc to fall in onto the open buckets of ice cream...perhaps replace with soft serve. Checkout gentleman was rude and we were not thanked for our visit. read more

Good buffet, with plenty of food selection. There were some customers in the buffet line barefooted.

Hibachi part didn't offer rice, only noodles, cook was pretty rude when I inquired about the rice part and just pointed to the buffet for rice. Food on the buffet was all half empty and we had to ask for it to be filled multiple times throughout our experience. Server was on point, but for the price they should have kept the buffet food hot and fresh. read more

The cross contamination is astounding here. If you have any sort of food allergy, please do not go here! Every food is next to eachother. When making the hibachi, the cook just dips the spatulas in water and says it's "good" after just cooking another food (shrimp in this case) which I explained I was highly allergic too. If you wanna chance it, bring your epi pen read more

Food is subpar but cleanliness needs a lot of work. Spoons by the ice cream are just bunched up together so anyone can touch the part of the spoon that actually goes in your mouth. Additionally, plates, other utensils, bathroom, etc are all below average levels of cleanliness. Other than that, food is enjoyable for what you pay and staff is friendly. read more

The food was okay. It's reminiscent of a buffet time hasn't forgotten yet combined with one that time is still trying to remember. Service was excellent despite their soda machine running out of juice prior to our first order, which is understanding when one gages the average BMI of the place. They surprisingly had baked crab, which my wife reports as "best of the availabilities", and a nice assortment of sushi. My son had approximately 50 pieces of sushi which would have ran me about $50 back in Colorado, so I'm a happy pappy. read more

This place is so GOOD! The best thing here is the Fried Rice and Noodles. There are also SUPER GOOD service! The lady was so nice. She was so nice that I gave her a twenty dollar tip! I also love the Steak because it is juicy and... just SO yummy! Well, you should really come here because it is not five star... it's six stars! read more

If you are eating Ichiban's, don't go there. Because the lady that's in the kitchen used the bathroom, she never took her gloves off, then when she to wash her hands did not take the gloves off! She kept the gloves on and washed them. read more

Foods needs to be prepared hot in hot server pans. About time you get to the seating area your food should not be Luke warm

This buffet has some of the best Asian buffet food in Florida and all you can eat wide variety of sushi. This buffet never disappoints and is always open on the holidays. We hardly see family on the holidays and this has been our go to place to eat Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner. It is great to bring visiting family and friends for an easy and affordable meal instead of cooking at home. My favorite food in the buffet is the sushi. I, also, enjoy eating the oysters, soup, shrimp, fish, mushrooms, general tso chicken, and clams. It cost extra to eat the crab legs, but I don't eat them. read more

Food was fresh and hot. Really good sushi rolls as well. I will definitely go when , I'm in the area again. Very affordable.

The food was plentiful, hot and tasty. My whole family enjoyed it. Very crowded but easily seated and served.

The smell is like a garbage dump... This is not a smell for a place that serves food even like this. The staff that remove the plates, grab and throw... read more

This is a very typical Asian buffet. Some restaurants of this type veer into questionable quality, but here I enjoyed everything I ate. Of course, since it is buffet it's not the quality you would get when ordering a specific meal, but the variety makes it worth it. Had around 10ish sushi options, all good, as well as many Chinese dishes and the other normal stuff you would expect. The section where you can pick ingredients to be cooked on the grill is tasty and includes lots of options. If you are in the mood for Asian buffet, this is a good choice. read more

Awesome food, great people, amazing service. Highly recommend! Have never had any issue here been coming here for many years.

For a buffet I thought it would have been better, food was not good at all, won't be back

Delicious Chinese buffet with lots of fresh food, hibachi/ Mongolian BBQ and sushi bar all included for less than $15 per person. Dishes on the bar are replenished as needed. Everything was delicious. Chinese food staples. Decent variety sushi as well as hibachi choices. Plenty of staff. Very spacious dining area. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!! Watch your drinks! Found two oyster's in the soda before we even touched the drink, food wasn't that good made everyone's stomach hurt. Went to go use the bathroom and they were disgusting! The place needs a deep clean. The employees are very rude to you and basically rush you out of there! read more

Crabs legs here are a joke!!!! Came here for the simple fact that they had crab legs...however, they hardly refill the thing and you are constantly waiting on them. When they finally do come out, they are teeny tiny. Little baby crabs legs. I'm peeved. Had to pay the extra $10 for a sliver of crab meat and very mediocre buffet food. On top of that, the waitress was not a sweetheart, for lack of better terms... WILL NOT BE BACK!!!! read more

My family loves buffets, and we were so happy to stumble across this one! This place has so much sushi and options for food. For 6 people, we paid around $80! Not bad for all you can eat! read more

Loved the variety. Got to at sushi while hubby went for shrimp and vegetables. Every bite was great. 4 selections of ice cream plus various fruits and other desserts. Be back soon read more

The food is decent.. they didn't refill the sushi so much which was disappointing. The hibachi is good. I really liked the fresh fruit. The people that work here are AWFUL though. The guy cooking the hibachi snatched my plate out of my hand - didn't say anything at all to me. When we went to go pay at the front, the lady didn't say anything to us. Didn't smile, ask how it was, tell us our total - not one word. Really awful service. I won't come back because of that. I'm sure there are a lot of other great restaurants in the area that would appreciate our business as customers. read more

We came here for the seafood and oyster buffet. They brought about a dozen oysters out after myself and another customer repeatedly asked if they had any. They didn't bring anymore out for the rest of our meal. The other items were typical overdone buffet foods. The service wasn't great either. read more

Excellent variety. This is always a must stop for lunch Chinese buffet whenever in St. Augustine.

Stopped by Ichiban Buffet for dinner while visiting St. Augustine. One of the few Asian restaurants in town. They have a variety of foods to select from. The foods were a bit on the salty side but well flavored. Sushi was freshly made. Some seafood options. They also had a hibachi grill, but we didn't eat anything from there. Servers were polite and wore masks. The restaurant was a bit outdated and could use some upgrades. Overall, the price and quality of the food were perfect, and I recommend this restaurant. read more

Not sure why you would not love this place. It was clean and the employees were friendly and helpful. The selection was excellent and the squid was very nice. The decor was themed and welcoming. My wife enjoyed everything she choose and loved the mint chip ice cream. read more
