    15. Fire Tuna

Ordered takeout of the sashimi appetizer and $20 fire tuna special roll (image attached) and this is pretty consistent throughout the whole roll imo no bueno no balance disappointing for the price

I was very excited to try this place, and to date I've ordered take out twice and dined in once, all for lunch. The interior is gorgeous, very pleasant atmosphere. The booths are large and comfortable. The server was very helpful. This is located in a strip mall, so there is plenty of parking. We have a lot of sushi places around, so for me this is what determines my final score. My go to is spicy tuna and spicy salmon rolls, and that is what I ordered from their reasonable lunch menu. Both were good. Not great, definitely not spicy enough, but very fresh. The second time I ordered takeout, there was a bone in my sushi roll. I've never encountered that before at any sushi restaurant I've eaten from, but it wasn't a big deal. When we dined in, we tried the beef Negimaki for an appetizer. It was okay, but again, not exceptional. A little bland, a little dry, but somewhat tasty. The miso soup was also okay, but could have used a little more flavor. The presentation of the sushi is absolutely gorgeous! I loved the display on the plate. Super cool. Overall, I will go back here again but I can't rave about the sushi rolls I tried so far. I might sample something else from the menu to widen my scope, such as hibachi or teriyaki, or a specialty roll, and update my review accordingly. They do have a very nice range of options, and I believe a dinner is in our future soon!

They were extremely accommodating for our large group of 13 and I felt like their service was faster than I would have expected for the amount of food they served us. Rolls were good and I think everyone enjoyed their meals. I got the dynamite roll and a side of chicken noodles. Loved the roll, the noodles were meh. The presentation alone was worth the visit. It was a cool effect having the little dry ice cups. Some plates came out with fans and bonsai trees- a fun experience. Wish I had taken more pictures.

I've been in person many times and the sushi is the best in St Augustine. I decided to get Door Dash and wanted some sushi. The pieces were thick cut, and the food was great looking just like in the restaurant. 10/10 for delivery sushi.

We came just after the grand opening and I must say, the sushi was fresh and tasty, the miso soup was good, and the customer service was top-notch. The ambiance is super chill, it's giving space vibes. A great spot for sushi enthusiasts seeking a delightful experience. We will be going back!

Quick spot next to Publix on 207. Sushi was good and so was the service. Lots of rolls to choose from, also sashimi. Will go back.

We started with the crab Rangoon and fried shumai, both perfectly crisp, fresh, and full of flavor without being greasy or heavy. Every bite was well-balanced and clearly made to order. The highlight of the meal was the Baitong Lobster. It was beautifully cooked, tender, and infused with rich flavor that made it the standout dish of the night. Easily one of the best seafood dishes we had during our trip. Overall, the quality, presentation, and execution across every dish were excellent. This is a place that delivers consistently strong food and is well worth a visit when in St. Augustine.

If you're into Thai food, this place is worth finding. The atmosphere was chill and comfortable, nothing over the top but it felt welcoming the moment you walked in. Our waiter was genuinely helpful -- not in a rehearsed way, just actually attentive and knew the menu well. That alone goes a long way. We ordered the thai fried rice and pad see ew, both were really good. The flavors were on point and the portions were solid for the price. Nothing on the menu felt overpriced, which is refreshing. We also grabbed a few appetizers and they held their own, but the rock shrimp absolutely stole the show. That was probably the highlight of the whole meal -- really well done. If you're passing through or live in the area and haven't been, it's worth checking out. Not flashy, just good food at a fair price with people who actually seem to care. That's all you really need.

I had maybe the most bibimbap of my life here, and that includes contenders from a number of restaurants in the Atlanta area. It was truly perfect. $8 for adding tofu (maybe 1/4 block lmao) is one of the funniest things I've ever seen financially, but hey it's a tourist area and it was absolutely made with skill & care, so I wasn't even mad. Seriously, I wanted to hug whoever cooked it. It is so worth it. Everyone else at my table was thrilled with what they got - burrata sandwiches and a fish sandwich. Not a good beer selection, it's very cocktail focused. Not my thing but yeah I will absolutely be back anytime I am in this wonderful city. This is not one to skip

I wanted to love Forgotten Tonic because the menu looked unique, but unfortunately this was one of…read morethe most disappointing dining experiences we've had in St. Augustine. First, the seating. The tables are unusually tall, making us feel like little kids trying to sit at the adults' table. It wasn't comfortable for anyone in our group. Then there were the lights. They continuously blinked above our table, and it was so distracting that we asked to move. Unfortunately, the second table had the same issue. I know St. Augustine is famous for its ghosts, but I wasn't expecting them to be playing with the lights at 7:00 p.m. while the sun was still shining! The biggest frustration was ordering. We were told menu items could be modified, but after placing our order the server kept returning one item at a time to tell us they actually couldn't make the requested changes. It would have been much better to know that before ordering. The pickle appetizer was another disappointment. Based on the description, I expected a pickle-forward appetizer. Instead, it was mostly kimchi, pickled onions, and other pickled vegetables with only five slices of actual pickles. I honestly don't have the words to describe how disappointing that dish was. I was also excited to try the tzatziki green beans, but the crisp pickled green beans tasted more like fermented green sticks than an enjoyable side dish. The baked Brie arrived with what I initially thought was melted cheese inside the croissant, but it turned out to be undercooked raw dough. Imagine my surprise when I realized I had just taken a bite of raw dough. I actually started feeling sick before we even left the restaurant. My younger son ordered the house root beer, which tasted extremely watered down. He also had the pasta with added grilled chicken, but the chicken was dark meat, overly shiny, and completely unappetizing to him. I ordered the non-alcoholic Velvet Slippers mocktail. One sip was enough--I honestly can't find the words to describe how unpleasant it tasted. My friend ordered the steak sandwich and requested the peppers be left off. After ordering, she was told they couldn't accommodate that request, so she had to pick the peppers off herself and still didn't enjoy the sandwich. My older son ordered the lamb sirloin. Even though lamb is often served medium-rare, this was so rare it looked like it was still bleating. We paid our bill before dessert because my stomach was already upset. I ended up making one last stop in the restroom before catching up with my family, who were already halfway down the street, ready to forget Forgotten Tonic. Sadly, this was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences we've had. Between the uncomfortable seating, blinking lights, inability to accommodate simple modifications, disappointing food, and getting sick before leaving the restaurant, we won't be returning.
