Well, we should've walked out of there as soon as we stepped in because the water fountain they have was extremely smelly and had garbage in it. The inside of the restaurant smelled like dirty carpet. At least the food did look good when we got in the restaurant but as soon as we sat down with our Plates ( 4 sitting people) All our food was barely warm. I always look forward to the Wonton soup but their Wonton were so chewy, I have no idea how long they have been serving the same wontons.... Big disappointment. We even informed her server that the food was cold. They apologized and gave us a little discount. There has to be MSG in their food or their drink. When the waitress gave us our water, my husband noticed a white powdery like substance in it that dissolved. It quickly dissolved that we didn't get to see it when he told us. We all felt so full and I was in so much pain. We ended up going home instead of going out to celebrate the New Years. Before anyone comments that maybe it's cause we ate so much, we didn't. I've been to buffets before and never felt like this. The food here was very marginal at best. There was nothing I had that was considered to be good. The sushi was unappealing. The fried items were dry and tasteless. The fried rice was very poor quality. Which is hard to do with fried rice. The ice cream bin had eight three gallon ice cream containers with a total of about a cup of ice cream combined in total. This was a terrible restaurant.The cookies were flakey and hard. The pizza was raw. Their chicken was chewy and hard. The sprite is sparkling water and the normal water is from the tap. The worst Chinese buffet I've ever been. Overall, the foods are greasy and not fresh. I wonder the water they serve you is drinkable. It smells terrible even with lemons! Every time my wife and I go to Ichiban we are greeted with a warm greeting and a great smile from Ebony. It is refreshing to see her when we walk in. The food is great and hot. Shrimp, oysters, ribs , baked and fried fish ,chicken wings anall the Chinese food you could want . The desert is good black walnut ice cream and others. If you haven't been. I was not that impressed with this Japanese buffet. Everything was extremely salty and covered in grease. All the rice was bland or dry and some of the food had little to no seasoning at all. When I let one of the servers know about some sushi that was bad/sour on the buffet she laughed at me like I had no idea what I was talking about because servers there don't understand much English. But the MOD fixed the problem for me. Other than that the restaurant was somewhat clean. Nonthing against health codes just could of been a little more tidy with more friendly staff members. This restaurant has falling in the manner of aesthetics. It would of earn a four star but there are several things that are not to my standards. The bathrooms are not taken care of and that goes for both male and female. There is a foul order when you enter the establishment and more entrees are not cold then hot. Many of the staff members are unfriendly and especially the Mongolian Grill chef, wow this guy has no personality. For the price of lunch it went bad for what you get. Was waiting for my car to get done next door and prego lady needed to eat. They had sushi so that's what I gravitated to. Had some pepper chicken which was good, did the on the spot hibachi/Mongolian style dish where you take the cook your choices of raw foods and sauces and they cook it for you. My husband & I came here with our almost 6 year old daughter, right before they closed (we came at 9:30--it closed at 10). They were polite, & asked us to look over buffet 1st, Bc it was late. We decided to get to-go buffets--& they only charged us for 2--& gave us 2 free iced teas! The buffets were $10.99/piece, & delicious !! Many vegetarian/seafood items, fresh sautéed green beans, mushrooms ,fruit , sushi etc. (& meats for my fam members, chicken tenders etc, but I don't eat them.) It was a great deal! As "Panda Express" would've been about $12.99+tax, a plate at least for a walnut shrimp dish (which they almost always get our order wrong!!), & there food is greasy at Panda Express. So Ichiban was great deal, wonderful atmosphere (water fountain my daughter loved!, decorated ceiling st front, statues, etc! Nice atmosphere!) Great price, imo. & good customer service. We left a $5 tip with our to-go order & let them close up. I would Recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting or craving Chinese food. We LOVE Ichiban Buffet! Food is great, bathrooms are clean, and staff is responsive and nice. I love their snow crabs, sautéed mushrooms, Rangoons, and green beans with garlic (I normally hate green beans but theirs are delicious!). There are many more delicious dishes. My hubby also loves their sushi and especially their fried mussels, which they offer sometimes. I just got a text that they are OPEN! So happy to hear. We'll probably do take-out for a little while but are so glad they are open again. read more

This is the best Chinese buffet in north eastern Florida, as far as I have experienced. This is also the first place that had fried frog legs, which grossed out all of the family, but I had to try them. They were not bad, but do not have much meat. I went here specifically for the snow crab legs. I drove 50 mins just to eat here and was a little disappointed. The buffet section of the crab legs was smaller than what I have seen in the past at other buffets. This place also cut up the crab legs into individual legs instead of leaving them in clusters. This made it hard to pick up the legs with tongs. And since they are individual legs they easily fall into the broth water that it was cooked it, which made the crab meat extremely salty. And to top it off they took forever to refill the tray when it was low/empty. There is a silver-lining to this review. A positive note is that the crab legs that were on top were actually good. I just wished I had more of that instead of the warm, salty ones. read more

Very fair price for a great selection buffet style restaurant. The place filled up fast over noon hour. Besides the normal buffet, there was a Mongolian grill section as well as a sushi section. I don't necessarily prefer buffets, the price is reasonable and if you want to a lot of food, go for it! They have a hibachi grill so you can have stir fry made-to-order. Sushi also that was good. The oysters were not refilled as quickly as we liked but we hung out for a bit. Mostly rolls with two selections of tuna and salmon sushi. Lots of creamy (Japanese mayo) drizzles and fake crab on the rolls. Stir fry bar...very nice. Load your plate up with varied, fresh ingredients and they cook it to order. One of the better parts of the buffet. Too bad this is overlooked by most diners. Cold Seafood...shrimp, mussels, oysters, and crayfish. All fresh and not spongy (meaning old). Hot Seafood...shrimp, oysters, crayfish, king crab (+$4). Again fresh, hot, and not spongy. Other entrees...Almost everything you can imagine on a typical Asian buffet. Some better than others. It's best to sample a tiny portion first. The salt & pepper crusted shrimp was odd as it was cooked and coated with the shells still intact. Impossible to peel and eat. The BBQ ribs were quite good. Very tender with a lightly smoked Asian style sauce. Hot Tea...my biggest pet peeve. This is an Asian restaurant, where is the hot green tea? They only offered generic black tea. Loss of a star! We eat in divey out of the way places and in high end restaurants.. It is with this in mind we write reviews. I love this place. Its an amazing value and I can't figure out how they make money. The food is real food. There is a huge variety of sea food, chicken done 20 ways, Mongolian BBQ,noodles, sausage, fresh fruit and salads, deserts and faux-Sushi. One can purchase beer and wine. Let's not kid each other - this place isn't top shelf - but quantity has a quality all its own. There is no pretense here - One knows why one eats here and really - it tastes good, there is a lot of "it" and one may eat until they are comatose. The value is unbelievable. Service is fast, efficient and attentive. Seating isn't bad and the noise level is entirely acceptable. The restaurant is clean and the food is changed frequently. I love this place and that it does not pretend to be more than it is. High Fat, High Salt but really good tasting stuff, plenty of it, a great deal of it for an amazing price! read more

Talk about a hidden gem my uncle took me here for lunch one afternoon the crabmeat alone was a reason enough to come here. The nice size shrimp was a pleasant surprise. The honey barbecue chicken knocked my socks off. A little bit of everything you can't go wrong with whatever you pick. They have a sushi station along with hibachi and a plethora of dessert options including soft serve vanilla and chocolate which I highly recommend.
