Honestly it's closer to a 4.5. but I definitely round up. We have a tradition of getting Chinese on our first night at the beach and this didn't disappoint. My husband got Singapore mei fun and said it ranks top five of all he's had. The beef and snow peas? Delish. I wish there was more meat only because it was so sweet and tender. The fried rice was a little lacking on its own, but I'll say mixed with the snow peas it was delish! The egg rolls are absolutely amazing! We did a call in and it was ready within fifteen minutes! i have to say, This is pretty fantastic. I got beef with broccoli and had them make it spicy and add mushrooms and it was delicious! I did ask for veg fried rice instead of pork friend rice, and they still gave me the pork fried rice but i'm fine with that i just prefer veg rice. the egg drop soup was also really good! However I did find a strange egg strand that appeared to have mold on it which freaked me out a bit.... other than that i'm overall very satisfied with this food! very affordable and flavorful, decent quality as well! I have no idea if it's actually mold or if it's just the hypochondriac in me, but i didn't find anything else suspicious except for that singular strand of egg so i just took it out and acted like it never happened hahah. The presentation was good. But the flavor fell flat. We only had chicken and beef w broccoli but not very tasty. Wonton soup was good. Veggie fried rice bland. Crab Rangoon was good! Nice and crispy but all cream cheese. And the egg rolls were just so-so. We also ordered pan fried dumplings but they were more like frozen potstickers read more

Yes friendly staff and large portions. I had the sweet and sour pork which came with a egg roll and rice. It wasn't fried rice not sure what it was. Food was tasty- plenty for leftovers. read more

Food was good, nothing special but solid. Good portions, hot, well packaged. Service was FANTASTIC. While waiting for our food, a group of special needs adults came in and were welcomed enthusiastically, genuinely. That is the kind if family business I want to support. THEY DON'T SERVE FRIED RICE ANYMORE It's hard to find good Chinese takeout at home, so we decided to look for some since we were out of town. We chose this place because the photos made the food look so good. Apparently I was looking at pre-COVID pictures. This is not fried rice. This is the yellow rice used in arroz con gandules. Must be under new ownership since I last ate from there a couple of years ago. It used to be the most bland Chinese food in town, imo and since China One closed, there was no good walk-up left. I can confirm, the hot and sour soup is tremendous. The veggies (large pieces of fresh mushrooms, large squares of tofu, crisp-tender celery, shaved carrot to name a few) we're same day fresh. The pepper Steak w/onion was very good. Tender beef awash in a savory sauce and loads of fresh peppers and onion is what awaits. Get a combo. The pork fried rice is good and the pork egg roll is great. Again, two nights of eating on a single meal. The service adds a star, although it's not needed to achieve the 5 stars in my opinion. I don't eat Chinese often, but when I do, it's got to be Green Tea. read more

I'm from NJ and relocated to coastal Mississippi, where they don't know good American Chinese food. We visited Green Tea on a recent visit to St. Augustine to see if we could get what we miss so much - and we were not disappointed. The menu is everything you'd expect from a Mid-Atlantic Chinese restaurant influenced by NYC - combo platters, excellent fried rice, all the basics cooked perfectly. We ate at a lot of good restaurants during our visit to St. Augustine, but none that surprised and delighted us more than Green Tea. We will definitely return. read more

I was eating there every couple of weeks before Covid. And when restaurants were able to open up again everyone in the kitchen at Green Tea had masks. And they ran a tight ship. So I felt safe eating there. But what I don't understand is in this day and age a Chinese restaurant doesn't offer low sodium soy sauce to clients. Really? Considering how many people are on low sodium diets. All I can say is get with it. And never go back again. Green Tea is a family run business with excellent Chinese food. My favorites are moo shoo pork, beef and broccoli, chicken chow mein, and general Tso's chicken.
