Craving Chinese for lunch, so decided to give this place a try. We ordered Krab Rangoons, and General Tso's Chicken and Hot & Spicy Beef lunch specials which we selected the soup and the soda to come with. I wish I could say I loved it, but the food was average at best. The wontons in the soup were good, but the broth tasted almost watered down. Not terrible, but not great. The Gen Tso's chicken was okay, but not outstanding, and not spicy at all. The Beef I requested extra spicy, but again it was kind of bland. The soda was not in the bag which is odd since I even put a comment in asking for Coke if they had it, but maybe they misunderstood what I meant, and I should have checked the bag before I left. The beef itself was excellent, though. Nice pieces of meat and tender. And they used real mushrooms-not canned-which is a huge peeve of mine. It just needed more overall flavor. Ordering online was super easy, another plus. And they also have Thai food, which I think I would try another time instead of Chinese to see if that tastes more robust. They have the best Chinese food in town. We love there boneless spareribs so tender and large portions . We always get our food from them and have never been disappointed I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. We ordered some red curry, chicken and broccoli and crab Rangoon. You call your order in and they're fast! Very conscientious of safety and protecting you/them. A+! Food-Curry was pretty good. Nice spice, hearty portion size! Lots of nice veg, and lots of chicken. Good value. Flavor was a little lacking but it was good and we were hungry! Crab Rangoon-not great. Lots of wrapper, little filling and it was a little sweet for my taste. By the time we got it home, it was rubbery and flat. We live five minutes away. I'm sure if we could dine in it would be much better, but should be the last thing prepared so it's hot and fresh. Was obviously cooked too long before everything else was ready. So, I had the worst soup and dumplings here ever. I hate posting reviews like this. I have eaten and loved Asian food all over the world especially in holes in the walls. The dumplings were heavy and bland. The soup had no meat and a lot of vinegar. I had high hopes for this place and tried to finish my food. I dumped most of my dumplings in the trash. I doctored the soup with more broth, mushrooms, tofu, and chicken flavor. It still tasted vinegary. :( The service was good and I would give it 3 stars but the food was bad. Located in a Publix shopping center, this Chinese restaurant takes up a very small space and doesn't look like much from the outside, but it offers up some tasty food and VERY good prices. You have the option of eating at the restaurant itself, although there aren't very many booths available. I typically will call ahead and pick up the order OR order at the restaurant and take it to go. This isn't your typical Chinese restaurant, no dragon paintings all over the walls, no Chinese horoscope placemats, just a counter to order your food and a few tables and booths to eat. What it lacks in flair, it definitely makes up in value. The menu features your standard Chinese restaurant type fare, General Tso's chicken, Sweet and Sour Chicken, egg rolls, numerous types of lo mein, etc... The best value for me is typically the dinner combinations. There are about 20 different combos you can get, and they are each served with a large portion of your main course, a large portion of pork fried rice, and an egg roll, all for a price of only around 7.00! One of the nicer features also is that when you order the food to go, you don't receive it in the standard white boxes with flimsy handles. You get your food in a reusable microwavable container which is great to eat from, but also storing it for leftovers. No greasy spills, no unmarked white boxes cluttering up your fridge. There are a lot of great choices on the menu, and I have yet to have something I do not like. The food is made when you order it, and always tastes fresh and delicious. It's not going to blow you away like you're eating gourmet cuisine, but it does taste better than your standard buffet-style Chinese restaurants. I'm a fan of this place simply because it's great food at a great price, you will definitely get your money's worth eating here. They are not better,culinary wise, than any other Chinese take out In St. Augustine, which means they are mediocre. They have an online web service that doesn't work, you make an order and it stalls you out . So you are forced to call the hateful lady. Please substitute White Rice for Fried Rice. Ok fine. Go pick it up. Stood at the window a full 10 minutes without any acknowledgement. Rude on the phone-Rude in person. Grab my stuff and get home. Wonton soup is filled with wonton skins shaped like wontons, giving the ILLUSION they are wontons, so the broth is just starch water. You know why? Theres virtually no pork filling in them. No scallion, no nothing. Cheap and poor quality. Next. Fried Dumplings appeared to have been pre-fried and left to sit by volume in a tray somewhere next to the fryer to save time as phone orders come in. Rubbery and chewy and i dropped my fork after choking 2 down because i hadnt eaten all day. Needless to say I lost hope for the shrimp in garlic sauce. First, yup, you guessed it. No white rice as requested. Cheap, fake fried rice wasnt even fried rice and not what I wanted to begin with. Yellow rice mixed with chunks of roast pork isnt Fried Rice which just added insult to injury. These people cant have any respect for themselves and clearly have nothing but contempt for their customers. An embarresment to Chinese Take out. They must survive on people not knowing any better. I hate to post negative reviews, but I must say this place was on my top list of places not to go. I'm hoping bad reviews will help them clean their shit up. The food was bad and I found a long metal string in the rice. I was craving Chinese take out. But I'm also new to Saint Augustine Fl and let me tell you. besides the Buffet down the street, I have been to every Asian restaurant and they all have been bad here. I have traveled all over the United States I was a Truck Driver for 2 years and let me tell you, The Asian restaurants in Saint Agustine all suck. China Wok is the best takeout Chinese restaurant in St. Augustine. It is in a Winn-Dixie shopping area and is easy to miss. They have the option of eating in or taking out. I have never ate in, but the restaurant is very clean and the staff is always welcoming and helpful. The food is absolutely delicious and they have a wide variety of different options. There Philly cheese steak egg rolls are delicious. There dinner combos range around $7 and come with tons with rice and an egg roll. My family and I have never had a bad meal from this restaurant and I highly recommend it. read more

I am giving them 4 stars because an items on the menu was very misleading. We ordered pork fried rice with boneless tip, which was delicious, and pad seew from there Thai section. The pad seew did not have wide rice noodles, eggs nor Chinese broccoli. It was a chicken lo mein dish with pad Thai noodles. super disappointed and I was aggrevated especially since I was really hungry. However the workers or whoever was in the back was super apologetic and switched my meal to something else I wanted, chicken and broccoli which was also delicious.
