The shell was also flavorless. The BBQ pork buns were also disappointing. The ratio of bread to filling was off. Very small amount. But I was a little happy this happened because the filling didn't taste good at all. The hot tea was also disappointing. I always order jasmine tea when having dim sum. They used a low quality tea bag instead of real loose jasmine tea leaves which also includes the flowers. No fragrance at all of Jasmine tea. Don't let the location of this place deceive you because this place is pure gold for those who love Dim Sum. We had heard of this place via the Internet, and, despite some glowing reviews, we were wary of them before we decided to check it out. And boy, were we pleasantly surprised. And what made Dim Sum Express exceed our expectations? The food, of course, both the freshness and taste of it. Many so-called Dim Sum places don't move the dumplings and meat enough to ensure freshness, with noticeable freezer and refrigeration taste, and the best ones make their items from scratch in house.
