No sauce on my orange chicken, fried rice was flavorless, and overpriced for what you get.

Tried YH Dim Sum and it totally hit the spot!…read more Everything we ordered was on point the shrimp rice rolls, sesame chicken, and BBQ pork were all so good. Flavor, texture, portion... no notes. The lychee martinis were a highlight (especially since they were doing BOGO ), and the staff made the whole experience even better super fun and great energy. If you're craving dim sum and a good time, this place is definitely worth the stop.

I love visiting Saint Augustine so I was so excited when I found this dim sum restaurant!…read more Unfortunately I was very disappointed. I was dining by myself. I always order a lot of dishes because I like what I like and I also know I'll have leftovers. I sent back the pan fried taro pudding because it was so bland and it didn't have many of the main ingredients in it. If it were there, it was so skimpy I didn't find any. (The Chinese sausage and dried shrimp) The pain fries soy sauce noodles were overcooked. It's suppose to be pan fried and it was not. Also very skimpy on the black mushrooms. Not very flavorful. The Steamed shrimp dumplings were mediocre. The skin was gummy and fell apart. The shrimp filling wasn't too bad. The shrimp with rice pasta was probably the best dish there. But it was still lacking in flavor. The steamed ribs with black bean sauce was very bland. The ribs were tough and tasteless. The braised chicken feet were over cooked. The texture was horrible like eating mush. The flavors were also off. The egg tarts looked good but the flavors again were off. Borderline going bad. It had that slight aftertaste of sourness. The shell was also flavorless. The BBQ pork buns were also disappointing. The ratio of bread to filling was off. Very small amount. But I was a little happy this happened because the filling didn't taste good at all. The hot tea was also disappointing. I always order jasmine tea when having dim sum. They used a low quality tea bag instead of real loose jasmine tea leaves which also includes the flowers. No fragrance at all of Jasmine tea. Needless to say, I will not be going back on my next visit. It was very expensive for what they give you. Especially since the food was so bad. I gave it two stars because the service was very good and the view was decent. I am Chinese... born in Hong Kong. So I know what dim sum should taste like. I wish I had seen the review that had a photo of the salt and pepper shrimp before I went because I would not have gone. Their salt and pepper shrimp is not authentic and I would have not gone and saved myself $80 for my lunch.

What a cute restaurant - buzzing with excitement, while keeping a quaint and cozy atmosphere. As…read moresoon as my niece and I got a hold of the list of items we could order, we couldn't stop checking off one delicious-looking dish after another! While we ended up ordering more than we could possibly fit in our stomachs, we were okay with that, because we could continue enjoying the food at home. Once we put in our order, dish after dish kept on coming out, filling our table and dazzling our eyes and noses. The highlights of the evening were the pork and chive dumplings, whose filling was plentiful, savory and was perfectly blanketed by a chewy silky wrapper perfectly pan fried, but not oily. The other amazing dish we both gobbled up without delay was the fried rice, that was seasoned to perfection and had big chunks of pork throughout. Fried rice like this can be so simple and yet so delicious - highlighting each of the ingredients individually and how they work together in harmony. Overall, the experience at Lucky Cat was exemplary, and I can't wait to return!

We had a 10 minute wait as the restaurant was busy with patrons. The menu was extensive and the food came out, hot and tasty within minutes. They had all the standard Dim Sum fare. We tried one of the shrimp noodle dishes and the noodles were light and airy on the tongue. Their sweet tea/ lemonade drinks were a refreshing non alcoholic treat. The restaurant was basically themed and noise was not overwhelming. It's a nice spot for a casual dinner or a date.

For anyone who has never had Dim Sum, it's like the Spanish Tapas of the Chinese/Cantonese world…read more We have a few places in Jax that offer these but it can be tough to get a reservation close to Lunar New Year and traditional times for Dim Sum. I found S&R on a yelp search and gave it a try. I got a photo of the DimSum menu (1 page) and their drinks. The restaurant offers many additional dishes, but that was not what I was there for, so I cannot speak to them. We ordered fruit teas in the form of slushies that were absolutely the most fresh and authentically made of fruit slushy I've ever had. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone who wants a true delicious fresh fruit drink experience plus they added benefits of Boba. My husband had the mango and I had the "oh my melon" which !Surprise! Was watermelon, not honey dew or cantaloupe as I assumed. I added strawberry popping boba and was beyond delighted with my drink. We ordered pork dumplings, sia bao steamed buns, soup dumplings (Hallelujah!!), spare ribs (Errrmeergerrd!), and lotus sesame sweet buns. Absolutely delicious, savory, well cooked, not a single disappointment- will definitely come here again! The restaurant was nearly empty on a late Sunday afternoon, but the kitchen was popping with online delivery orders so I know they have solid business. The walls are decorated with wistful and pretty murals in muted green and blue hues, dark wood furniture. Map directions are unfairly pointing you to turn down the wrong road to get there so check your map; it says Riverside, but you have to turn on Margaret Street!

The server was extremely rude from the moment that I walked in. Upon coming in, I was not greeted at all. No Hi, Hello, or anything. The server glanced at me and I asked for a table for 1. In which he turned around with a menu and sat it on a table. He said absolutely nothing to me when doing this. The only thing that this water asked was for my drink order, if I was ready to order food and if I wanted to place anymore orders because the kitchen was closing. He did not crack a smile or try to be kind at all. Was definitely a poor customer service experience, and I was really looking forward to visiting the spot for the first time. While the customer service was terrible, the food was pretty good. I ordered a few dim sum appetizers and was pleasantly surprised by the taste and how fulfilling these small appetizers. In addition, it was such a large selection and all priced very fairly. The food alone would make me return but hopefully the service the next time will be a lot better.

We just love Dim Sum. Since we moved here in 2018 from San Francisco, we've discovered that the…read morecuisine here is severely lacking. And it certainly is not for the lack of trying. Jacksonville, and Orlando offer up some rich and diverse cuisine and that it's not uncommon for us to drive an hour to get good food. Living in Central Florida it is hard to get really good Dim Sum. But all that changed today when we visited the Dim Sum Express, located in Palm Coast. The place is a little hard to find, located in a beautiful strip mall behind the local Texas Roadhouse. Don't let the location of this place deceive you because this place is pure gold for those who love Dim Sum. The place is also very small, perhaps 4 or 5 tables, but you will be rewarded with some very fine food. We had heard of this place via the Internet, and, despite some glowing reviews, we were wary of them before we decided to check it out. And boy, were we pleasantly surprised. And what made Dim Sum Express exceed our expectations? The food, of course, both the freshness and taste of it. Many so-called Dim Sum places don't move the dumplings and meat enough to ensure freshness, with noticeable freezer and refrigeration taste, and the best ones make their items from scratch in house. Now I'm not sure what Dim Sum Express does, but the freshness and taste could not be denied here. We started out with the Cucumber Salad with Chili Oil. Talk about a palate awakening as the freshly cut sweetness of the cucumbers tasted delightful mixed with the spicy chili oil and fish sauce. Another winner was the Steamed Bok Choy severed with a sweet sauce that was very delicious. The Steamed Spare Ribs were also very tasty with the small pork riblets with black bean sauce were both fresh and savory. Now, the test of any Dim Sum place is always the dumplings and the Dim Sum Express served up some of the tastiest Classic Pork Shumai and Shrimp Shumai dumplings that we've ever had anywhere. These were the dishes that we had, and they also served other classic Chinese dishes, however, we were their for the Dim Sum and in Dim Sum Express we found a winner. Just how this place which has been open for the past six months and went under our radar is baffling. The whole meal, and it was very filling, came to $41 with tax, And I'm happy to report that we have finally found our place for Dim Sum in the Central Florida area.

Both were delicious!! When the boys finished at the gym, we went back inside so they could eat as well! They ordered the pork bau and steamed pork buns. They were happy with their selection. My daughter and I ordered dessert, piggie red bean buns and egg custard tarts. The tarts were fresh from the oven! The piggies were cute but don't expect more than a dime sized amount of bean paste. The server was attentive and quick to serve! I'm already planning my next meal there!

It was only 3 places open, one was all meat, the other was a bakery and this one that had a tofu option. Everything smelled good, so I gave it a shot. She kept asking me if I wanted vegetables with it, I said yes, with vegetables. She yelled back to the cook in her language; I thought! When I got it, it didn't have any veggies. I took it back to her, and she was happy to have the veggies added. Customer service was good, I have no complaints. But the Tofu......That wasn't a good choice! No flavor, a lot of sauce with no flavor! and the hunks of Tofu! Did you see how big they are cubed up? They can cut them in a triangle so it's easier to eat, because I didn't get a knife to cut it! Yea! I wasn't happy with it! All this seasoning in this store, and it was bland! COM'ON man! Maybe the meat choices taste better, give it a shot, looks like a lot of people like the food here.

The food comes out hot and fresh and while it is on the pricier side when it comes to dim sum, the servings are pretty big. Highlight for me was the crystal shrimp dumplings. They come stuffed full with these huge chunks of shrimp and the wrapper isn't too thick or chewy. The sticky rice was also pretty decent and had a good amount of meat inside. Usually the pan fried radish cake is one of my favorite dishes, so I am a little more picky when it comes to these. So I thought these were okay. They still hit the craving, but it was a little more dense than I was expecting. The server was also super friendly, making sure she got our order right despite a little bit of a language barrier. And our food didn't come with any chili oil or soy sauce, but when we asked for some, they were happy to provide.
