    Garlic eggplant and kung pao
    Sheela K.

This place is located in the food court inside of Great Wall grocery store. Unfortunately smells like hella fish since the fish cutting area of the market is nearby :( I honestly hate when I have to give a low rating. I ordered the: Garlic eggplant: this was tasty but way too oily. There was pools of oil as I went through the dish and tried to eat it with rice. I gave up after a while because the oils used won't be too healthy in large amounts like that. Kung Pao Chicken: this was a let down but probably would have been better fresh at the restaurant versus to go to be fair. It was soggy and I hated the chicken cuts it was too fatty for me Customer service was really nice. I can't say that I'd rush to eat here again and it just wasn't up to hype for me.

Drypot and sweet and sour pork

Food is amazingggg in typical foodcourt. We always get the dry pot and it never disappointed us. The portion is huge and we can never finish it in one sitting. The sweet and sour pork is very crispy despite having the sauce on it. It is a little sweet for my taste but the texture is sooo gooood.

I've been to Humble House a couple times and they have all been pleasant. The food is really good and definitely worth to go if you like Chinese food. The area is inside the Great Wall grocery store so the atmosphere isn't all that but there is usually space which is good in the food area. I will say most of my luck the tables have been dirty as a warning but not at the fault of the restaurant as they are not responsible to clean the tables. The service was pleasant not the best but definitely decent there is a language barrier sometimes which isn't the easiest but I have always got the right order so no complaints just not a place that goes above and beyond if that makes sense. I have tried a couple thing but my favorite is definitely the dry hot pot. There are just so many different options in it and the seasoning is terrific. It is really spicy for those that can't handle spice well I do not recommend then. The cumin lamb is definitely flavorful just not my favorite but that is because I prefer szechuan over cumin. If you like cumin I definitely recommend the lamb or the beef you can really taste the cumin. The wait isn't very long mostly just waiting for them to cook should be around max 10 min. The portions are pretty good it could be one plate for 2. It even tastes good as leftovers! I will be coming back because the food is so good.

Decent stir fry at a good price point. There's no full service you order at the counter and eat at food court. Ambiance is 100% no frills.

I ordered the vegetable hot pot. So mala spicy that it burned my mouth but tasty! And it was less than $12 for this large soup filled with vermicelli and vegetables. It also came with a side of rice. It's located in the Great Wall Supermarket food court so nothing fancy but it's a great place to come for a quick bite. They don't stay open late though.

Our favorite option in the GW food court. The staff is so nice and our food came quickly. We opted for the green beans without pork and the spicy chicken. The portions were huge and delicious. The entrees are also cheaper than a lot of the restaurants but they don't compromise on taste or portion size. The food was fresh and arrived within 10 minutes of ordering. They also have a nice hot tea. The only place we'll be getting our food from in the food court.

This place is always a quick and easy go to. The food is amazing and at an affordable price. I find myself craving this place often!

Whenever I need to have a good read...I'd get these dishes from Humble. Consistency is what I was looking for. Little time to wait for dishes to be ready to go. Dining in experience is not as pleasant. To-go will make sense, since the seating area are not always attended. Those cafe style self-serving area table and chairs need detail cleaning.

The food here is very good. If you like spicy food, I would definitely recommend this place. It's also affordable, and generous portions. I ordered the dried hot pot and the basil eggplant. It was delicious!

    Cumene fish- excellent!

Came here for lunch today and tried their fish with Szechuan sauce (light but flavorful curry) fish and got eggplant basil (again). The food was so good!!

Salt and pepper ribs and 水煮魚 fish (sorry, don't remember the exact name)

We love this place: delicious, generous portions, and affordable. Our favorites are the eggplants and the fish dishes.

    My spicy chilli chicken.

Some of the furniture were stained/coming apart, the restroom was littered with trash/did not have paper towels. We opted for the SESAME CHICKEN + KUNG PAO CHICKEN + PAN FRIED PAO PORK. The sesame chicken was not crispy fried and the sauce was very sweet. The kung pao chicken was a taste that I've never had in this dish ... sweet with a little bit of spice. The pan fried dumplings were okay as well- not the best I've had but okay. In general, this was an okay food stop but I do not see myself driving purposely over here to eat.

We tried the soup dumplings, which didn't have as much broth as expected, and a chicken and shrimp dish that was supposed to be spicy but came out tasting pretty sweet instead. When we mentioned it to our server, they offered chili oil, which was nice, but I would've preferred to experience the dish as it was intended. The interior is simple and it works fine as a spot for a quick bite. That said, I was specifically craving solid Szechuan flavors, and there are definitely better options nearby if that's what you're looking for. But worth a try if you're in the area or as takeout food too!

We were greeted quickly at both the door and table. For a dumpling house, there weren't that many options for dumplings. We order two types of dumplings, a noodle dish and an entree on recommendation of the staff. The pork soup dumplings were very soupy on the inside and had a good flavor. The pan fried bao dumplings were alright but morning to write home about; I thought the bun to filling ratio was good for a bao though. For noodles we got the house rice noodles. I typically don't order this but I thought it was really well done with a good ratio of ingredients and flavor. Lastly we ordered the sales egg pork ribs. They were cut to bite size pieces but that's deceptive since they were bone in. Some pieces were all bone and some all meat. While the flavor was good, some might call it dry and the cut made it difficult to eat. While the seasoning for all the dishes were flavorful, I thought the salt was a little heavy. Overall the restaurant was clean with a semi modern decor. The staff were all friendly and tried to be helpful throughout the visit. I'd give it a try if you're in the neighborhood.

Not quite as good as a hole in the wall I ate at in Beijing but it was a great Christmas dinner that wasn't routine. The menu is extensive and you really can't go wrong with the variety.

The crispy skin is the best part, yum! For the 2nd course, we did the salt-n-pepper stir fry ... next time we'll just do the regular stir fry. As you can see from the photo, there really wasn't that much meat in the stir fry, everything felt pretty charred, and what meat was there was super salty. The first course was the highlight! We started with the Fuqi Feipian, which was on the salty side but otherwise pretty standard. The Seafood Shark Fin Soup was surprisingly bland, as if no salt had been added. We had to add red vinegar just to bring out some flavor, and it could have used more white pepper and seasoning overall. Next was the stir-fried squid with vegetables (I forgot the exact name). It included scallions, taro strips, and red peppers, but the taste was fairly average. The sweet and sour pork (Lychee Pork) was close to the Fujian-style flavor I'm familiar with, though the sauce was a bit light and not as tangy or sweet as expected. We also ordered the seafood fried rice noodles, which were very mild in flavor and lacked wok hei. It felt under-seasoned, almost like the seasoning was forgotten again. One standout dish was the red fermented rice pork intestines with snow peas, a classic Fujian specialty. The red fermented rice flavor really came through, and this dish was definitely worth supporting. The crispy roast duck was another highlight--crispy skin, juicy meat, and served with steamed pancakes, shredded cucumber, scallions, and sweet bean sauce. Very satisfying in every bite. The restaurant also offered complimentary orange slices at the end, which was a nice touch. Portions were generous, prices were reasonable, and overall it was a fairly filling meal.
