We had to come to this restaurant because we actually went to a different Thai restaurant up the street but they were doing takeout only so they recommended that we come to this one. The ambiance is really nice and the servers are very attentive and responsive for the most part. There was a time they told us that they would bring us more rice but they ended up not bringing it and there was a slight communication barrier but nothing too crazy. The food that we ordered was pretty good. It's not spectacular or particularly flavorful but it gets the job done when you're really hungry. The shrimp appetizer and the rice paper, the fried one, is delicious. The three flavors whole fish was okay. I feel like the fish needed its own flavor and it was slightly overfried but it was fine. Umm, if you do not know anything about Thai cuisine and are only looking for tasteless large portions, you may love this place. It started out on a promising note, busy at 2pm was interesting. They accommodated my request for pad woon sen and even brought me fish sauce and vinegar with jalapeño condiments. Even those could not add much flavor to the dish. My hubby's veggie fried Thai rice seemed to be cooked with pad Thai type of sauce. Inedible. Unfortunately, service was lackluster as well and no one checked back. I was craving Pad See Ew while in Duluth-Norcross area, so stopped in here. The place was big and spacious, and the service was very attentive. I did feel that they needed some overhead music to fill the space. In addition to the Beef Pad See Ew, which also came with a Spring Roll, I also ordered this Thai Salad. The Thai Salad was HUGE...a meal in itself. I liked the sauce, and it was quite good. I did wish it had some carrots in them...instead of tomatoes, for one. I just don't feel tomatoes go well with Thai sauces. Then the much anticipated Pad See Ew. While I thought the flavor was solid, I didn't like the big, chunky beef. It was way too chunky, and hard to eat. I like the meats in these dishes to be more thinly sliced, smaller the better. Also, while they used the bigger noodles, it wasn't the super-wide noodles I'm used to. Overall, I really liked the restaurant...but a bit disappointed with the Pad See Ew. So I met up with a friend who lives kinda far so this was the halfway point. And I was feeling like Thai and wanted to take advantage of being in the area. They haven't really warm customer service about them... As soon as I walked in the lady was super duper helpful and jump to make sure I can get my seat and got me menus and everything. When I ordered my soup as the appetizer,the guy talked to me about other options that actually helped me make my decisions... They were really good with that! This is a really good spot that is in a somewhat busy area of Gwinnett. There is free parking because it's in a shopping area. The environment is really clean and set up very well. They have a little robot going along delivering things and that's always cool to watch. But it's not over the top, it's very tastefully done when it comes to decoration. Spicy fried rice - so the rice was a good choice. Packed with plenty of veggies and protein (I got beef). Only thing was there is a lot of basil, to where you may bite a leaf of it and it really changed the bite for you. But it's still good though. Seasoned just right! Chicken coconut soup - The soup was really really good...no...great ...no... sensational! It was savory and spicy and every single bite. And it wasn't spicy like it was too much, it was just the right amount. I got a half order and I would have gotten the full order of it if I had know! It may have been the best soup I have had in years.... I don't know if this was normal but whatever batch they made this time was off the charts! Mee Krob - so I wasn't sure what I expected but it wasn't a bad fit for what I was thinking. If you looking for something really light, this is definitely it. The noodles I'm not heavy or anything and they're really, really well sauced and spiced. There's really not a lot of chicken there though. This place has a very cool ambience - I loved the decor! They have a robot that delivers the dishes to you (sometimes). It had one limitation, there was a lady in a wheel chair near a booth and she had to move to accommodate the robot - they are still working on it. Food was great - pad Thai was with 3 proteins - shrimp, chicken and pork. Noodles were very tasty. They had a beef Jerky dish that was delicious! The OG Thai spot back from when we were kids and our parents would take us out. They have moved from their previous location to this much more spacious restaurant. We ended up hosting our family dinner here for my birthday since we had a large group and they were able to accommodate without any issues. The space is also nicely decorated so made for great family photos as well. Service was fantastic for our large group of 15+. Multiple servers came to help us with anything we needed and constantly clearing dishes and refilling drinks. Our entire group was so impressed! Every one of the staff is also super friendly! Now the food is still DELICIOUS. Their pad see ew is one of the best I've had in the States. Takes me straight back to Thailand! I also love all their fried rice dishes and soups! Wings were also bomb. Prices are also very affordable with large portions. I will say almost every entree is shareable if you have a moderate appetite. Be warn, our pickier Asian parents kept comparing it to the previous chef and saying how things don't taste as good. I didn't find this to be the case AT ALL but you know how Asian parents are.... Thai Norcross is a restaurant that I have heard good things about. I was excited to try their Thai food. The ambiance was pleasant and there were many families eating inside. However, the service was a bit lackluster. Our waiter forgot us a few times until we flagged them down, but it happens sometimes. My friend and I were looking for the typical Thai noodle dishes of pad see ew and pad kee mao (drunken noodles) and we could not find it on the menu. But they are on the menu under more Americanized names? I am not sure why. The pad see ew was called Big Noodle Soy Sauce and the pad kee mao was called Spicy Noodle. We got both of the dishes with chicken. My friend enjoyed her pad see ew, but I thought my pad kee mao was alright. I think the noodles were a bit too thin for my liking and I also thought the sauce could have been better. I got a spice level of 3/5 which was a good spiciness for me! We also shared the Chicken Satay as an appetizer and that was really good. It came with a refreshing cucumber salad and peanut sauce. I also thought the number of skewers (7) was more than other Thai restaurants give for this dish, so that was a nice surprise. Overall, Thai Norcross did not live up to my expectations, but I am sure it will for others. I would probably rate it a 3.5/5 stars if I could. read more

It's crazy because I've always been told this is the OG Thai spot and it's a must go. I'm so sad to say it was such a disappointing meal and I'm trying to find the slightest positivity but they really did not have any redeeming qualities. Food: Ordered the pad kee mao (drunken noodles) chicken with level 5 spice and the Penang curry chicken in level 4 spice. So the drunken noodles had little to no flavor and literally no heat. It was very heavy noodles and little veggies. This is my go to dish to sample new Thai places and if that is what they do to this, I can't imagine trying again on something else. The Penang curry had some slight heat and was served with rice. It composed of the curry, BOAT LOADS of bell pepper, and a few shrimps. My issue was that I ordered chicken and received all shrimp instead. Service: So I can't speak if it was the server who took our order or the kitchen messing up but the drunken noodles did not come with any heat, Penang curry was all shrimp when I asked for chicken, and all of our foods came at wildly different times. Elaborating- half the tables food came and we were waiting for 6 more dishes that all came separately and spaced apart. By the time half my table received their food and finished halfway, the other half slowly started receiving theirs. Unfortunately for me I was the last one to receive their order and by then half was done eating and some were near being done. I brought it up to the server and she said she put it in correctly but at this point I wasn't going to wait even longer for my dish to get done again. Came here for Mother's Day and we ENJOYED ourselves! The food was pretty delicious (ESPECIALLY the chicken fried rice). The portion sizes are huge so definitely expect to take home some leftovers. It was fun watching the robots drive around delivering food. (Although I hope in the future they don't switch to entirely robots and take away the human connection from waiters/waitresses) For now it was a good mix! Thai norcross is my FAVORITE Thai spot EVER. I will gladly make the drive there. And they renovated and moved locations and it looks so nice inside. Different vibe from the last spot. Their shrimp fried rice is the best I've had. More on the tomato side which I prefer. Their pad Thai is made perfectly. The tom khả soup could be creamier but still very good! Only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars is the service. Whoever that bald Thai man is, HE IS AWFUL. so rude. Has a nasty ass attitude. Barely came over to check up on us so whenever we needed help me tried to wave him down and it just seemed like he didn't want to be there. My friend has been craving Thai food so she asked me to join her at one of her favorite Thai restaurants. From my experiences Thai food never disappoints so I was looking forward to it. The restaurant was more aesthetically pleasing than I expected. The waiter seated us quickly and gave us enough time to look over the menu. I ordered the Thai Fried Rice and my friend got the Pad Thai, while we both ordered the Thai Iced Tea which came out before our food. It's been a while since I've had that drink but I could tell they made it to perfection. I loved the fact that they gave us a mountain of food because I knew I would definitely have leftovers. The rice tasted AMAZING. My friend told me to mix in the Thai Sweet Chili sauce and that really elevated the meal. I used to go to the old location A lot and Today was my first at this location. My friend wanted to try a different Thai spot and we decided to come here for her birthday lunch. I must say it's a lot bigger and nicer than the old location. The servers are still sweet and very attentive to you. As for the food, I don't think it was the same. The Nam Tok and Nam Sod was very different from what I'm used too and it had Waayyyyyyy too much onions ( pics are attached). The salad was actually pretty delicious. Both my friend and I really loved the peanut dressing that it came with. When the check came me and my friend was going back and forth about the check. I told her let me pay, it's your birthday! Our server heard me and quickly asked, " it's your birthday?" I replied, it's hers. Couple minutes later we heard someone singing the Happy Birthday song. July 2023 S U M M A R Y Middle of the real Thai food that I wouldn't go out of the way to try. Decent pricing. You can get a lot for not too much spend. Also, this place doesn't use the typical language seen at most Thai restaurants. T A S T E Egg rolls : these were good. No complaints. They were crispy in as expected. Fancy Thai Shrimp : these were very good! I would order these again. They were like shrimp that were wrapped in some thing and fried. I really enjoy these. Coconut soup: best thing is it comes in a pretty large portion. I felt it could've had more vegetables and more elevated flavor. Doesn't taste better than what I can make at home. Mussels : I've never tasted mushrooms in a super light sauce like this. The broth was made of mainly lemongrass, so it was very fragrant, which was different. They also used green mussels, saw the muscles were very large, and I appreciated that. But I prefer muscles that are a little more garlicky, and have more flavor so I wouldn't order these again. Chicken wings : crispy and plentiful. Pretty good. BBQ Beef Rib : these were so good. They are like KBBQ Galbi were so well marinated. This typically come with steamed rice, but I opted for shrimp fried rice, which was an up charge. The shrimp fried rice was not what I expected it to be and I wasn't a big fan of the taste. It didn't have the vegetables and soy sauce that I expect fried rice to have. Pineapple fried rice : this has peanuts in it. Beware! So we sent it back because my little brother is allergic and he ordered this. Mixed Seafood: this was my mom's dish and she did not really like it. I didn't taste it but my mom usually likes anything with seafood an Asian flavors so I have to say it was probably subpar. Whole fried fish : my dad got this and really liked it. He's gotten this multiple times and always likes it. Shrimp fried rice: my sister ordered this, and she really liked it. This shrimp fried rice is not the same from fried rice they gave me with my beef. It looked more reminiscent to what one would expect of a typical Thai fried rice. Big Noodles/ Drunken noodles: my brothers girlfriend ordered this with beef and she liked it. Thai tea : I love Thai tea, and this was really bad. It had a fragrant flavor that I am not used to with Thai tea, and I had to return it. I do not suggest this drink here. S E R V I C E Service was good. We came in with less than an hour of service left on a Monday. We had a pretty large party of seven people and they accommodated all of us. We got in appetizers, entrées, and a couple of drinks. They did rush us, and literally stood over us as we were eating which was annoying, but they were nice about it. I do wish that the waiter explained the menu better because there were dishes with peanuts in them that we would've avoided ordering and also the shrimp fried rice we received was not reminiscent of a regular fried rice. But, I may chalk that up to him, trying to get all the orders in before the kitchen closed. A M B I E N C E It was super cute inside. It gave me Bala vibes. A lot of greenery and wooden pieces. P R I C E A little over $200 for everything we ordered which consisted of multiple appetizers, seven entrées, soups, and Thai tea. We came across Thai Norcross as we were driving and looking for somewhere new to stop for lunch. The restaurant is spacious and open and all the staff was inviting and friendly. Service was very attentive but not intrusive. Our server described each dish we ordered to make sure everything was to our liking before we committed to anything, which was an unexpected but nice touch since this was our first time visiting. We had the Shrimp Cakes (delicious!!!!!!) which comes with a super yummy peanut cucumber sauce, Basil Grouper, and Spicy Noodles with beef. All veggies and proteins were wonderfully prepared and fresh. Nothing was over cooked and all the sauces were really great tasting. We would have enjoyed a bit more heat/spice, but next time we'll ask for it to be amped up. We look forward to returning and giving a few more of the menu items a try. I had a really good experience here celebrating a few birthdays in the family. We went ahead and ordered food first since we got there early. I love the spicy Laotian style papaya salad with extra spice. Food comes out quickly and was delicious. I came here on a whim on a Friday night with my cousins. We were looking for somewhere to eat good Thai food and this spot seemed to have decent reviews. We were able to get seated at a booth within a few minutes however after sitting there for a while, we realized that because it was near the door, it was quite chilly. Regardless, the booth was spacious enough for my group of five. Our server did a great job at keeping us entertained throughout. After spending some time browsing the menu, we all ordered. It was kind of confusing because there were two menus with food that were mostly the same with a couple of items missing from the other. I decided to stick with my usual, Pad Thai. We also ordered two plates of calamari for the table which came out to us on a robot that sang Merry Christmas. That was a nice touch. The plates came out one at a time but mine took unusually long. The only real issue we had here occurred a few months ago when they moved locations (within a half mile of each other). We pulled up at the space they had occupied for 25+ years only to see workers dismantling their booths... We had ordered take-out and so were pretty sure the restaurant was still operating somewhere. We called back and got directed to their new location. They are now located on Rockbridge Road near where it begins off Jimmy Carter Blvd. Once you turn onto Rockbridge, they will be on your left at the end of the first strip mall you are passing. The building is painted yellow and is easy to spot. Parking is much better here than in their prior location. In addition to the spaces adjacent to their stand-alone building, they also have spaces available in the aforementioned stirp mall's parking lot. The décor is a lot different than before inside. Gone are the sort of faux thatched roof booths and two small rooms. Instead, there is one large spacious dining room with booths along some walls, a bar at one end, and a lot of tables spread around the center. While the old place had a certain nostalgic charm, the new layout is a lot more modern / classy. As for the food, the recipes have not changed. Whatever you've ordered here in the past decades is still available and still just as tasty. This was one of the first Thai places in the metro Atlanta area, and there is a reason why they are still in business. Very much recommended. read more

Just had an amazing take out meal from here. Even though I drove an extra ten plus miles out of the way with the food still in the car and back (while getting food elsewhere for my fiance), everything remained hot and fresh. Amazingly, the egg rolls I ordered were still crispy! Never had that experience before. Most times back home I'd drive three miles forward and back, and if I ordered egg rolls they'd be soggy unless I ate them immediately in the restaurant parking lot. I was thoroughly impressed with everything. The yellow chicken curry, shrimp fried rice, and veggie egg rolls were all excellent. Everything had great flavor and a just the right ratio of meat and veggies - cooked to perfection. The only thing I would do differently is add more carrots to the curry, as it was 90% chicken and potatoes. The egg rolls were great as they reminded me of veggie lumpia. I would definitely order from this place again, and when COVID-19 passes, I would like to eat inside. Looks like a cozy little spot.
