Wok N Roll has the classic Atlanta special of wings and fried rice. It's the only thing I've tried on the menu and in my opinion it's the best bang for your buck. Call ahead if you're going to pick it up. They're fast. 10/15 minutes and you're good to go. There are places to eat inside but no one does. I don't think I've ever seen anyone eating inside. I ordered a dinner special with prices and sweet sour chiken. And 2 egg rolls. The rice had no flavor at all, the chiken was a little better. The egg rolls I didn't even finish one of them. Large menu, huge portions, moderate to low prices, tasty colorful meals and normally I would easily give this restaurant 3.5-4 stars, but our last visit a couple of days ago was very disappointing. We ordered House Fried Rice and the steak and chicken we're extremely overcooked (not the fried chicken wings) and very chewy and unlike American restaurants, there's a "perceived" language barrier there so I made no attempt to call them and complain once we got home, which is what I would've done at other restaurants where English is comfortably spoken. So we've decided to give them another chance since we've never had this experience before. But I do regret having to give them a negative review because of the "perceived" language barrier and I often wonder, how well do they actually speak English? read more

I have eaten here once before. I will say that the food here is good. This place is a lot more better than China Heaven that is located right down the road from where I live. The taste is a lot more better. Also, I believe the food here is of more higher quality than the food over at China Heaven. I do believe that their food is completely fresh here. Today I have ordered the Sesame Chicken Lunch Special for $7 and I have added their Egg Drop Soup for approximately an additional $2. This was not bad at all. My own Sesame Chicken lunch special came with one egg roll, one chicken wing, plain fried rice, and (of course) the Sesame Chicken. The portion size is perfect. It was delicious and I have enjoyed it a lot. The service is excellent, except for the fact that there is some communication difficulty. To me, they seem like Panda Express, only they are completely authentic and not a chain and a franchise. However, the food does come pretty quickly. Especially, if it is a to go order. They never seem to busy at all. I was there today and I only saw two customers there just came to pick up their own to-go orders. Also, they have some tables and chairs, unlike China Heaven. This place is also not hard to find at all. They are located inside of a plaza just right behind of Chick Fil A. I notice that the customers here usually order to go instead of dining in. I can understand why. I give this place a four star out of five star rating, because of the fact that there is just a small communication problem. Whenever I'm in Norcross and I want Chinese I order from this place. I usually order the same typical foods but they are good and the portions are good. I usually get the combination which is a good value. (Between 9-10 dollars.) You get an entree, white rice, (you can substitute it for fried rice and lo mien at an extra price) a side, (chicken wings or egg rolls) and a soup. The egg rolls are good and so are the pot stickers. Every time I order it comes rather quickly. I have ordered their other entrees without the combination and it was just as good and you get the most for your money. You can call in to order or you can order online. The interior of this restaurant just had a dramatic make over ... gone are the scuffed up walls and dirty windows. It's amazing what a coat of paint and some Clorox Wipes will do for a place's image. Wok n' Roll has been in this area for well over 10 years and until recently, their interior was really showing it. They have always primarily been a take out place so the interior ordering / dining area is not that big a deal but cleanliness is and that's important in what they should have been concerned about presenting to customers. WnR has some of the best hot and sour soup in the area. There is actually ingredients in the soup, unlike some place (ahem, Lon-u) were ingredients are merely sifted through broth. WnR does a lot of Americanized-Asian basics right too ... but not "all" of them. I've had some dishes that were really downers so I basically stick to soups, appetizers and ... wings. The wings here are really good! There are just as many flavors as any typical "wings house" but WnR goes one step further by offering different rices or even Lo-Mein as a "side" to your wings order. Try the "house special" Lo-Mein (... though full caveat, I have had the "house special" Lo-Mein and it has been great and another time just so-so)... The only real oddity about WnR is this woman who works at the front counter. She answers the phone and doesn't speak, yup this happens ... she stands at the counter and waits for orders. Does she have a low command of English or what's the real problem? It would be beneficial to WnR to start using a robust online ordering system and put the odd woman in the back washing dishes or something. read more

My co-workers and myself ordered take-out from here today. Delivery is super fast and the staff on the phone and the drivers are courteous. This is my second time eating here. The first time I ordered Mongolian chicken. It was alright. Today I ordered teriyaki chicken lunch special (with an egg roll, fried rice and fried wing) The main reason that I gave this 2 stars today is the appearance of what this establishment calls chicken. It could very well be thigh meat, but honestly I just don't think it's chicken. The "teriyaki" sauce tasted like soy and sugar and cornstarch slurry. NO GINGER, NO MIRIN, NO GARLIC....just a brown colored sauce. My fried rice was decent. The eggroll was soggy and my fried wing had wild chicken hairs everywhere( I'm fully aware chickens have feathers, please pull them out before frying) I was extremely disappointed in the flavor of my sauce. Great portions for the price. I'm not impressed at all. Step up the Asian flavors! You know when you're about to do something stupid and you do it anyway? That was this moment. You can see it from a mile away, you have all the time in the world to think rationally and make a better decision, but you don't because you're a closet masochist because the only prais you received as a young boy is when you survived 6 straight hours in the trunk of a Z28 so you decide that maybe there's some pleasure in the awful consequence that will surely follow. We weren't in the mood for Chinese food really, but we happened to notice - it just gets worse - chicken wings. Going against the pile of red flags at our feet, we trudged on and proceeded to order lemon pepper, teriyaki, hot garlic and sesame. Waiting for the delivery guy to come was dreadful. (It was not unlike waiting for the doctor with the results of your blood test after a weekend in Vegas.) I made the preparations for the meal -- full roll of TP, CHECK. Publix-brand antacid pills, CHECK. Suddenly, the knock at the door came. It was time. I won't go into the gruesome details of what happened next because it's just not very Christian. Very pleasantly surprised. So, I got my bi-annual craving for beef lo mein. Experience has shown me that cheap strip mall Chinese restaurants are the best place to get lo mein. The upper level Chinese restaurants seem to over think their lo mein. I want it saucy, a little greasy, and loaded with the freakishly tender beef strips you only find in cheap Chinese. That's what I was expecting from Wok N Roll. Along with heartburn, shame and regret. I was not expecting it to actually be good. The restaurant itself is pretty basic. Just a few tables and the counter where you place your order. Surprise #1 was the smell as I walked in the door, it smelled amazing. Surprise #2 was that at 1:00 all the tables were occupied. Surprise #3 was the five bags of to-go orders waiting to be picked up. I ordered my favorite Hot and Sour Soup and a lunch special beef lo mein. Lunch specials come with fried rice, eggroll, and chicken wing. The hot and sour soup (my favorite thing at Chinese restaurants) was the biggest surprise. It was very peppery, slightly sour and just a bit spicy. It had a nice variety of vegetables, some pork pieces and tofu. It also had a slight sweetness which surprised me at first. In my search for good Chinese in Norcross I ate a lot of very bad hot and sour soup. This makes it into the top two in the area.. It also came with a large bag of crispy won-ton strips (rather than the chow mein noodles from a can many places are offering). I ordered the soup for one which was still a pint sized container. The chicken wing which came with my lunch was also surprisingly good, the meat was tender and juicy and the skin was crisp and bubbly. I don't know that I would come here to eat wings. But given their prices the next time I'm having people over for wings I might make my own sauces and order 25 plain wings from Wok N Roll to save myself the trouble of dealing with the hot oil. The eggroll was the least good part of my meal. It tasted ok, but it was not very crispy and the wrapper seemed thick and doughy. The lo mein was fantastic. It was saucy, it was a little greasy (in a good way), it had a surprising amount of beef. It also had carrots, onions, scallions and napa cabbage. They gave me enough that I probably ate less than half before I was full. Interestingly, my lunch special still came with fried rice even though I ordered noodles. Most places don't give you both. I didn't eat much of the fried rice. But it was pretty inoffensive plain fried rice, just rice, egg and soy sauce. The food itself would net three stars, but the portion sizes and the price give it a boost. I'll give it four stars. read more

The food is good for "Cheap Chinese" food. The staff is nice and friendly. I do like that I can place my order online ahead of time. However, the only problem I have had with this before, is that they made it way too far ahead and it was getting cold by the time I pick it up. I have now had to tell them not to make it until a certain time due to rush hour traffic. I do like their Hot and Sour soup but it could be a lot more spicy too. The Mu Shu dishes are good but sometimes need a touch more fresh ginger and maybe a bit of garlic. But, the portion size is nice. My partner likes their hot wings but you have to eat them on the day they are made or they are awful the next day. Sad part of the review: The inside is dirty at times and very stuff. Apparently things have gone down at my favorite dive Chinese place. The sweet tea is still sweet, but no longer tea (Nestea does NOT count as actual sweet tea). That was really disappointing. There's no doubt if you get food poisoning it wasn't from the meat because it's cooked here. Like, to death. If you like chewy this is your place. Regardless, there's still something in the sauce. I don't know if it's MSG or just some sort of liquid additive. Eating here once makes you want to come back for more. read more

My fiancee and I moved to this area from California about a year ago and we were craving some chinese food... we saw this place and went in..The lady at the counter was super busy taking phone orders and seemed annoyed when i needed to look at the menu ... when we got our food my finacee liked his. It was some sort of spicy beef with broccoli thing. but mine was terrible. I got a chicken and rice with veggies bowl. I love this place!!!!! My boyfriend and I order from them whenever we want Chinese food. We stick to our favorites so I can't speak for a ton of things. I will give you my go to choices. 1. Chicken and Broccoli 2. General tso 3. Ummm first off I waited like 25 minutes for my food. I was excited thinking it was going to be the best thing everrrr. Btw i got shrimp lomein and fried chicken wings. My wings tasted like they were cooked with something else (reused grease) or it was marinated with something. I'm not sure but they were gross and had a funny taste. I've been going to Wok N Roll about twice a week until yesterday. I ordered my food and needed to go to the restroom. You have to damn near pass through the kitchen to get to the restroom. When I finished my business, as headed back to the dining room, I noticed there were three (3) chicken breast on the floor next to where the guy was cutting the chicken breast. I told the lady at the counter and she went to investigate. I left with my LAST PLATE of food from Wok n Roll. I don't want to take a chance KNOWING what I know now. Take-out here is great, as is their delivery. If you need to eat-in, I've done that as well too; twice. The experience eating in is decent; the food is tasty, and the staff are very kind despite language barriers. They all seem to work hard (you can sort of see the kitchen in the back). The inside is incredibly shabby though; wallpaper peeling in many spots, a wall with scratches all over it where moving tables have hit it over the years, and a very blue tint to the whole place. The glass on the windows and door is rarely (if ever, perhaps?) cleaned at all, as they're all filled edge-to-edge and bottom-to-top with fingerprints, smudges, and dirt. If you go to the restroom inside, you have to actually walk into part of the kitchen where the chefs are, which is kind of an awkward experience, and I couldn't help but think of possible sanitation/health-code issues with this setup? In addition to all of this, the prices are quite high. However, don't freak out when you see the bill at the front, because you'll soon see that the portions are of the giant variety, equalizing the price a bit. Overall, the location is very convenient to Peachtree Corners, the staff is super kind and work hard, and the food is tasty and fast. A solid 3 stars from me, 3.5 if Yelp allowed it! read more
