Came here to eat after work. The service was so bad. The lady in the front desk was giving attitude and was being rude for no reason when i was being polite the second i walked in. After i went to the restroom and came out the lady that handed me my food went to go sit down with these group of people and the whole entire time they were all just staring at me and making me uncomfortable. I personally don't know how New Dragon's rating isn't higher than what it is. I'm a sucker for really good Chinese food that is also quick to obtain, and this place is exactly both. This restaurant is located in the Peachtree Parkway Shopping Plaza, and in my opinion is one of the standout places here to grab a bite. Angela always helps me and knows my order to a T! She always makes sure my to-go orders have plenty of Duck Sauce (this is my husband's favorite), and Pot Sticker sauce (for me)! Talk about knowing your customers. My husband and I always order a special combo plate which comes with a main dish, fried rice (you can order lo mein noodles for an upcharge), and an egg roll. Some of my favorite dishes here are ANYTHING Szechwan, Sweet and Sour Pork, and General Tso's Chicken - to name a few. We also have ordered a handful of their appetizer options including Steamed Dumplings, Crab Rangoons, and Soups. No matter what I've tried here.. it's always been so good and flavorful! read more

Service is great. Ambiance is great; it's what I would expect from a store of its size. Food is... a little meh. I wasn't in love with the sesame chicken and crab ragoon. The sesame chicken was soggy, and the sauce seemed goopy (the sauce leaned a little too much to the gelatinous side for my tastes). The crab ragoon shell was chewy and bendy, NOT crispy. This is a family run business with great food and one of the FEW places where you can get General Tao's shrimp with BIG SHRIMP and get EGG ROLLS instead of spring rolls! Ok, with that out of the way, theres not much else to say.. fresh ingredients, clean, small restaurant with modest seating, and friendly service and honest prices. So why 4 stars? Well, the fried rice could use more seasoning, bean sprouts and egg. You also have to tell them no peas and carrots. They put peas and carrots automatically in their fried rice. So the lack of a star is for a small reason of my personal preference.... but I know a lot of people who don't like peas or carrots in their fried rice. If you like to eat some simple Chinese take out once a week, you should really check them out. We order once a week now and they have never disappointed us. read more

I wanted Chinese Food. I should have known it wouldn't be authentic. Why did I pay attention to the flyer where it said New York Style. Such a piece of crap. There is nothing "authentic" or "New York Style" about this food. I ordered Shrimp Lo Mein with Fried Rice. It cost me $2 to have shrimp added to the fried rice. It literally had one Shrimp in the Fried Rice. ONE!!!!!!! Where they do that ? Charge me extra money for one tiny salad shrimp. My total was $17 for those two items and an egg roll. I was so heated when I opened my food. Shrimp Lo Mein barely had any vegetables in it. It was absolutely tasteless. How can that be? There was no sauce with it either. The driest Lo Mein I have ever had this side of creation. How do you mess up Lo Mein? How???? The fried rice was just as bad. Tasteless, dry and hard. Like the rice was old or something. I never give these kind of reviews but I should have paid attention to the previous reviews. I ordered this food on Beyond Menu. This has quickly become one of my favorite spots from which to order take-out, especially when I do not feel up for cooking or venturing too far from home. Every time I have ordered, I have done so using the Yelp app. My food is usually ready earlier than anticipated. I have not had any trouble with payment or pick-up. The people at the counter have always been friendly and responsive when I arrive for pick up. I have enjoyed both the hot and sour soup and the mapotofu. My son was a fan of the chicken fried rice. For the dinner platters, they give you maybe one or two scoops of your main dish while piling on so much fried rice. The egg drop soup was quite thick and not very flavorful. The noodles in the lo mein looked thick and appetizing, and the beef with broccoli was fresh, with quality beef and soaked in sauce. I tried to go low carb, but the corn starch in the soup and sauce probably messed me up a little. The rice was over half of the styrofoam box that it was in, so I ate my beef broccoli (which was pretty good) and left. Would try again if I got a pint of food instead of a platter, as that wasn't really the best deal. read more

Well, it is NOT my CHEAT DAY but having the torture of choking down hospital nutrition ( you cannot call THAT stuff "food") for the past several days,all that I could taste/want was Chinese food, sweet and sour pork, to be exact. Interestingly enough it is hard to find. My favourite place for this is in Hawai'i, go figure...LOL So, I had to look closer or at least on my way back from the medical center. New Dragon popped up in Yelp as a viable choice, so I hobbled on in to grab lunch. This consisted of sweet and sour pork, fried rice and won-ton soup. No egg roll in the lunch combo, so I added one to it. The food came out hot, fresh and fast (10 minutes). The sweet and sour pork is NOT, repeat NOT like I get back in Hawai'i from Little Village Noodle House (dig their Yelp reviews) BUT it will do. Plus the cost of airfare would eat into any tips...LOL Verdict? Like I said, "It will do." I got plenty of food, enough for two meals, spending just under $10.00. It is definitely what I call "Ballin' Bachelor On A Budget Friendly" for sure. Although I will not likely go out of my way to eat here in the foreseeable future. Went here for lunch for the first time today. While the prices are great, the food was not. Pork egg roll tasted of unwashed cabbage and was so salty I couldn't choke down more than two bites. The General's chicken was crazy sweet and mostly batter. Hardly any actual chicken. Found some random piece of wood (looked like a toothpick piece maybe) in my fried rice. All the food was very good, very tasty, and fresh with no excessive use of salt or other spices to cover up the food tastes. The large egg drop soup was too much for two people -- we could have easily gotten by with the "normal"/small size. There was one spring roll per order so we ordered two. With all the other food, we could have foregone these. They were tasty though. The entree orders were enough for two people each. I didn't really read the menu that well and didn't realize there are combo plates that could have better suited us. Okay so my boyfriend loves Chinese, but I am not a fan. I realized I can order from 3-4 different restaurants and all same entrees will come looking different. Not fair at all, so long story short. I order Kung Poa Chicken, which is hot as all get out, anywhere else. I get this chicken and it doesn't even have pepper on it plus had a whollllle container of nuts. This is my 2nd time ordering from here. The first time it was pretty good during the day for lunch. This time I ordered at night and it was terrible. I'm mad at myself for wasting my money. I don't know why, but a lot of restaurants are good during the day and suck at night. So typically I don't eat out or order in the evenings. It seems that the people who don't care, work second shift lol. First, I had to call 3 times before finally being able to place an order. The 1st two times I was put on hold and then the call disconnected after 5 minutes. 10 minutes later I finally got someone and placed my order. I guess that was the imaginary red flag waving and screaming at me not to order.... I was told it would take 45 to 55 minutes to get delivered. That was perfectly fine. Last time it took about 45 minutes and the food at that time was hot and fresh. This time my food arrived in about 20 minutes lol. I was like wait a minute! There is no way this is fresh cooked food being delivered. There is no way you could have cooked this food, packaged it up AND drove from your business to me in only 20 minutes. So what you really did was give me some old ass food that you cooked around 11:30 am and nuked it in the microwave and threw it in some containers. Please, I know the game lol. I ordered wings, egg foo young, and some other stuff and 4 diet cokes. So I pay for my order and put in a $5 tip and thanked the driver and closed my door. I thought hhmm this bag isn't heavy enough to have 4 cans of soda. So I hurried and opened the bag to check and nope, no drinks. So I went outside and stopped the driver and asked if he had my drinks in his car. He apologized and offered to give me $4 in cash. Of course I accepted it but wanted to take back my tip too. I don't feel he deserved it because he forgot my drinks that I paid for. So I get ready to eat my food and the wings are luke warm and dry af unlike the last time. The crab rangoon was dry and the texture of the filling was obviously old, mushy and gooey. The egg foo young was also obviously old and tasted way different than the last egg foo young I ordered from them. And on top of that I had no drinks to wash the crap down, other than the bottle water i had to grab from my fridge. My first experience was good but my 2nd was bad enough for me to NEVER order ever again. This is why I use yelp. So that I don't get any surprises like this. Well jokes on me huh? Never again. Old luke warm food and forgetting part of my order even though I'm a good tipper and polite equals I will never give you my money another day in this lifetime. Order at your own risk of wasting money if you want to. I'm finished. It really sucks when companies just take your money then provide you a horrible service while screwing you. Good portion, great price. We just ordered General Tsos chicken and sweet and sour chicken for dinner. Each came with fried rice and either a soup or egg roll. The Geberal tso has a perfect little kick to it. The chicken was plump and hot when we got home. The sweet and sour sauce is also good to dip in the plain fried chicken.
