Relatively new ownership has improved on a good thing. Yes your standard take out Asian food is still there and is prepared quickly and orders are still accurate. We were greeted very casually and told sit anywhere we liked. The restaurant was very clean inside. The staff was friendly and our food was promptly delivered and served hot. The lunch special that I ordered came with soup so I chose Wonton soup. Egg Drop as well as Sweet and Sour Soups were also available on the lunch menu. For my entrée I chose the Kung Pao Triple. It was delivered hot in only a few minutes. The Kung Pao sauce was rich and savory and the beef and chicken were both tasty and tender. The shrimp was perfectly cook with no hint of being over cooked. I ordered a soda and it came in a can but an ice filled tumbler was provided also. The food was very good, the staff was very friendly and the dining room was clean. The only negative was the restroom being somewhat trashed with paper towels, but otherwise it too was clean. I haven't gotten a chance to actually go inside the restaurant but I've had the experience of ordering food from this establishment and they're always delicious right now, I'm currently addicted to the sweet-and-sour shrimp. Oh my God guys that dish is so delicious crunch on the Fried shrimp batter is to die for. With or without the sweet-and-sour sauce they are delicious. First time trying food here. We got takeout & It was ready quickly. The inside, though dead, was clean. We ordered... Pork Fried Rice: Tasted great. Not too dry, not too much oil. My Husband didn't like the bean sprouts in the rice but I didn't mind. Sweet & Sour Chicken: The taste was good. Chicken was moist and not dry which is a big plus. The chicken was so little though. Lots of tiny pieces. I wish the pieces were bigger for the price they charge. The sauce that came with it was good and tasted fresh. Crab Rangoon: They looked burnt! I was a little disappointed by the appearance. The flavor was good though. Although they were a little dark, I'd try them again. Egg Rolls: I thought the egg rolls were great. The food here was just ok. I had the chicken with broccoli and it was a bit saucy for my taste. But the chicken seemed decent quality. While the restaurant was clean and pleasant-looking inside, they had the TV on really loud showing this Chinese variety show in Chinese, which was quite annoying (e.g. they had game show segments with "wacky" sound effects). I completely forgot to take pictures, but to be honest there was nothing to eye appealing. Yummy Top had put there menu on my apartment door and I was thoroughly impressed with the variety they had. Compared to the other Chinese spot that I usually order from it was like night and day. My fiancée decided she wanted to try them tonight, so we did and it was not the greatest Chinese I've ever had, but it wasn't bad either. My fiancé had the Shrimp Fried Rice and Shrimp Spring Rolls while I had their Philly Wing Combo which came with Fries and a drink. In addition, we shared an order of Crab Rangoon. She said the Shrimp Fried Rice was good and it came in a super large portion. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and the flavor was there. They put bean sprouts in their Fried Rice which was odd, but she said they were good. The Shrimp Spring Rolls and Crab Rangoon were very tasty. There was actually a shit ton of crab in the Crab Rangoon, not just your typical cream cheese filler. The Spring Rolls had a nice balance between shrimp and vegetables which was awesome. My Philly Cheesesteak was ehh. The flavor was there, but it came in a jumbo hot dog roll and the peppers and onions weren't caramelized at all. It tasted like I was still eating raw crudité, but hey I ordered a Philly at a Chinese restaurant lol what more could I expect? The fries were good as well and the drink came in a can which was great for delivery. (FYI - The Philly comes with mushrooms, I don't like mushrooms, so I opted out) The wings were amazing! I chose the Braised Hot flavor and it was absolutely delicious! The wings had a nice crispy texture and was hot and juicy on the inside. I would compare this Braised Hot flavor to a sweet and tangy Korean BBQ sauce. I know that sounds weird, but that's what I tasted. All in all, if you haven't tried this flavor - do so. The total came out to about $38 which isn't bad for all that we received. They delivered within 30 minutes which was awesome as well because we were definitely hungry and most importantly EVERYTHING WAS DELIVERED HOT! We we order again? Sure, why not. I was dealing with one of my rentals down the road and needed a quick bite. This Chinese to go/restaurant opened a month ago and is located in the Kroger plaza. We walked in with the plan to get a quick dish to go. No one sitting and eating at 7pm (not a good sign). Took a look at the menu and they don't offer many noodle dishes nor vegetarian. Prices are kind of high for the area. Seeing that China haven is in the next plaza over (next to movie studio grill) they are better as far as food and options, just no seating there. I ordered the meifun noodles (veg) and added the curry for $1. There was no tofu in the dish and even though there was a decent amount of noodles it was NOT worth the $11 dollars it cost. Just based on that order alone I probably won't be back. They need to get their prices in order if they plan on surviving here. I ordered the boneless spare ribs for $10.72 when I got it the package didn't seem very heavy, that's what my concern started when I open the box. It didn't seem to be very full in the boneless spare ribs, or actually flat pieces of meat covered in barbecue sauce, and the meat was so dry I couldn't even eat it. I love my Chinese food. I travel a great deal and quite often Chinese is my go to cuisine. I've spent weeks in San Francisco and New York's Chinatown s and I have to confess that I love them. Update: Unfortunately, the quality and taste of the food has gone down. The last few times I have gotten food from here, the flavor has been lacking and it's been oddly cooked. The very last time I got food from here, the chicken and the peas were very hard -- some pieces of chicken were physically impossible to chew. And again, the flavor wasn't where it used to be. Although the food is good, only rating 88 from the Board of Health causes concern. When you walk into the restaurant, your feet stick to the floor. The blaring TV put their solely to entertain the employees kids with games and videos, makes it a poor place to eat in the dining room. Remove the TV, put the kids in daycare, wash the floors. My mother, sister, and I had a wonderful lunch here before I returned to Chicago! The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff could not have been more friendly. We added two soy sauce packets to add some flavor to the mix. This made the fried rice bearable. Next was the pad Thai. Without the lime, the dish was a bit dry, but once you added the lime, the dish came to life. This was probably the best of the three fishes we got. The third was General Tso's chicken. I have now tried this place 2 times. It's really awful. Szechuan beef was inedible . It tasted like nothing but salt in a nasty, gooey sauce. Beef was mystery meat with grissly pieces throughout. We (several employees) ordered delivery for our office. It reflects on the website that the delivery fee is $2. When they dropped off the food, EACH individual bag had a $1 delivery fee on it! When we called Yummy Top, she just rambled on and said she was going to credit us some money back on a credit card, which made NO SENSE since to us since all but one paid with cash! On top of that, the delivery driver DID NOT HAVE CHANGE with him, so on top of the $1 delivery fee from all of us, he kept all our change too. This place does NOT conduct business the right way!!!
