The interior offers beautiful artwork on the walls as you enter, and the interior seating is done in a lovely shade of sheer purple. Parking is shared with the other tenants in the shopping center, but plenty is available. The first time I ate here I started to eat as soon as my food was placed in front of me, that I forgot to take photos. Our waitress Pawnie is the BEST! She's helped us both times we've been in and even remembered what appetizer my husband and I said we wanted to try on our next visit. As soon as she recognized us tonight, she was already putting the order in so we wouldn't have to wait long. Like I said, wonderful service. This restaurant offers a vast variety of dinner options. If you're in the mood for sushi, opt for "dining in," as all rolls will then be 30% off! On this visit we ordered the Roti Canai appetizer (Indian Pancake served with Curry dipping sauce), two Picasso Rolls, and a side Hot and Sour Soup. Soup is always my favorite. Exceeding expectations! I'm always wary of trying new sushi places but I'm so glad I checked out the new flyer I got in the mail! Sushi was very fresh !! I got the salmon and spicy tuna and both or top notch ! Generous portions too. The miso soup was also packed with tofu and seaweed. Normal those I barely found any at other restaurants...could be beginners luck .. idk. My family has ordered take out from this establishment and we ate in for the first time last night. The food is a mixed bag. Their appetizers and sushi are usually pretty good but I feel that the other cuisines have not really blown me away. I think it's just very conveniently located. The staff is very nice and inviting regardless of if you're taking out or eating in which earns them an extra star in my book. This is a casual restaurant with a good variety of malaysian/thai, chinese, and sushi/sashimi. They have half off rolls mon-wed which is a great deal. The sushi rolls are pretty good - I got to try the dynamite, dancing tuna, spider roll, and spicy rainbow roll. Fish was fresh and portions were good, and the spicy sauce was spicier than I expected. I also shared the honey walnut shrimp with my family, and it was a little over-fried compared to how I usually get it at other restaurants. However, the flavor was still good. One negative part of my experience was that the server misheard one of the sushi roll orders and brought the wrong one - then when we brought it up, he said he would go back and get the right one without taking the wrong order back. We then got charged for both rolls without the server mentioning anything about it or offering to take it back. In general otherwise the service was friendly but sometimes we felt there was a communication barrier. read more

We came to the restaurant as a group for dinner. Although it's close to my home I did not know the restaurant. There are plenty of seating and the service was courteous. I was surprised that the variety of menu choices including Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Malaysian, and even Korean. I picked Char Kway Teow since I felt like to have Malaysian food tonight and it is described as Malaysian-famous stir-fried flat rice noodles. It did not disappoint me, I liked it, specially the taste of caramelized rice noodle, it reminded me of Hong Kong well known Dry fried beef and Ho Fun, the Chinese name of this dish 干炒牛河, only difference is it came with shrimp, squid, that is perfectly fine with me. I would give 4 star for the restaurant. But my wife was very disappointed with her dish - Sambal Chili Sauce with Okra, Eggplant, String Bean, the dish came cold, after recooked she found it salty , my friends had similar experiences. 4/15/22 - 9pm - party of 2 Oh J! Say it isn't so! J's Asian Cafe was one of our favorite spots in eat while living in the Atlanta area. Everything was always fresh, well prepared and the place was spotless. We arrived at 9pm on Friday evening and something seemed off when we walked in. Less than 8 customers in the restaurant. Our table was sticky, the plates were dirty and the window blinds and sills were thick with dust. I asked our waiter if J was still the owner and he said it was sold in 2020. We should have left at that point but the menu was similar - more focus on sushi now but a few of our favorite dishes were on the menu. We started with pan-fried dumplings and Hot California roll. The dumplings were the frozen ones from a grocery store. I'm not sure why they named the sushi roll HOT because it had no spice at all. The rice was really wet and didn't "stick" like it should. Very low quality ingredients. My son ordered the Hunan Sauce Chicken, which was marked with a red pepper on the menu meaning it was hot. He told the waiter he liked heat. He requested carrots added to his mix of vegetables. The plate had no carrots and absolutely no heat at all. It was incredibly bland. I ordered the Massaman Curry which was supposed to have carrots but none were in my dish either. The cashews were fried hard and the avocado on top was brown. The curry sauce tasted weird - like soap. Completely inedible! The waiter removed it from my bill. It is extremely disappointing that a fine establishment had sunken to this level. I wish J took his restaurant back! Not sure where he is now - maybe enjoying retirement - but I'm sure he would be mortified if he saw his prize restaurant now! read more

Their Thai, Malaysian, Chinese, and Sushi menus are all excellent and worth eating off of if you are craving their particular cuisines. So this place can be the peacemaker when you have a fiend who "hates sushi" yet you'd like some good sushi. Prices are affordable and most dishes include soup. I came here for lunch to try this place out because I seen all the great reviews and it's not too far where I used to stay at. All the prices on the lunch menu was no more than $8.00. I was expecting to see way higher prices. So I assumed the portions would be super small. Every lunch entree comes with an egg roll and choice of miso, hot n sour, or wonton soup, or fried rice/steam rice. If you want brown rice option, it's an extra $1.50 more. I can't wait to eat some more hot/sour soup from here. As for the entrees, I picked the Kung Pao Calamari, Shrimp Pad Thai, Thai Spicy Basil Chicken, and the Red Curry Beef. I picked fried rice and white rice to go with my meals. Since I ordered 4 lunch entrees, it came with 4 soups, 4 bowls of rice, and 4 egg rolls. I loved the Shrimp Pad Thai because of the tangy flavor and it actually came with like 6 shrimps which surprisingly is a lot vs other restaurants. The portion of the pad Thai was surprisingly for a lunch portion. I was really shocked! It's was a lot!!! My favorite was the Thai Spicy Basil chicken as the chicken chunks were big and the flavor was indeed delicious. I also enjoyed the red curry beef and tasted like your typical ones at other places. I usually finish all my noodles no matter what, but this time it wasn't happening. It's literally 2 meals. I decided next time I want to get takeout so I can actually get 2 meals. The Jjajangmyun we ordered double noodle, so two people could eat. They said they gave us normal size so they brought out almost an entire nother bowl. So we just had a massive amount of noodles everywhere. We also ordered the tangsuyuk, which was delicious. PRO TIP - the Jjajang and Tangsuyuk come with the sauce already poured on them. Thus, if you take it home, it's very soggy. And it's so much food that you can have great take out - but ask for the sauce separately! Finally, I saw people eating a spicy, boiling dish and was told it was Manatang. So I ordered one to-go - why not? I got the seafood one and it was quite tasty - again a massive amount of food (though it's like $22.95) but it was a bit too salty with a particular smell that made me not want to order it again (we got 4 meals out of it). I did both takeouts and dine-in for this place and will probably come here more often now too! The first time I chose to eat here, I did takeouts for dinner. I had their spicy eggplant in garlic sauce with beef, beef chow fun, and their pepper steak. Their pepper steak was underwhelming to me but in hindsight, I had the spicy eggplant and the flavor stood out more than the pepper steak. The beef chow fun was good, nothing special or crazy about it. My only take on it was the texture of the beef on all three dishes. It wasn't bad but the chew felt dry. The only way I can describe the texture of the beef was if you've ever had chicken liver, that's how it felt to me but again, it wasn't bad and it didn't ruin the whole dish. I noticed that they have a 50% off on sushi rolls on Tuesday and Sunday lunch only so I went to try it as well; this special is dine-in only. The rolls were great and the laksa noodles was hearty. I would definitely come back here for their sushi specials; no place else can beat the price they give here for the quality of the sushi. Unfortunately, there wasn't much flavor at all in this dish. It was ok, just not great. I really enjoy trying fried rice at different restaurants, this fried rice again was nothing special - its very dark, and the only item i could see in the rice was eggs. Again, i was disappointed. On the other hand, i ordered some crab ragoons and really liked them! Nicely filled and fried with the yummy dipping sauce!! This saved the day!
