First time trying Sunshine ll and it will be our last. So hoping it would be a good alternative to our fav place which isn't open on Sundays. The sesame chicken and the deluxe vegetables were covered in a brown sauce that had a strong lingering sour taste. It was unlike any Sesame Chicken we've ever had. The potstickers are lovely. We had some surprisingly spicy orange chicken that was a bit too sharp for our taste. Mongolian beef was tasty. Chicken fried rice was also a solid choice. My absolute favorite Chinese place. Me and my bf share the sesame chicken and fried rice and it's incredible. Sometimes we get the noodles and they are equally as delicious but does fill you up quicker. The crab Rangoons and wonton soup are also delectable. The staff is so sweet we really love this place!!!! We do a lot to support small business and have ordered here even though more $ than fast Chinese. After spending nearly $100 the food I received was stale. The meat was old and chewy the sauce was not even properly mixed (see milk on top not mixed) and I couldn't let my kids finish because I was afraid they would be sick. Very disappointing. read more

Ordered delivery cause I was craving Chinese food and took a risk without looking up any reviews for this place and WOW it has exceeded all my expectations. Food arrived steaming hot and packaged very neatly. I love their rice packaging as it doesn't have the wire handle in traditional rice to go boxes so I can heat it up straight in the microwave. Fried rice: it had that nice "wok" flavor that was enhanced with every bite. It wasn't seasoned to salty so I could eat with my other entrees Walnut glazed shrimp: they use JUMBO shrimp, which makes this dish so good. Moreover, the shrimp isn't drenched in excess sauce which is what a lot of low quality restaurants do to hide the quality of their food. The shrimp was perfectly served on a bed of fresh broccoli and garnished with candied walnuts. Shrimp egg foo young: one of my favorite dishes and sunshine makes this perfectly. The sauce came separately to ensure the entree was not soggy. It had a LOT of shrimp inside and cooked perfectly. Hot and sour soup: nice and tangy and not over done! A lot of restaurants either over kill the sour taste or it is underwhelming, but sunshine knows the perfect balance. Bonus for the generous amount of tofu and fillings inside the soup! Overall I loved that sunshine didn't make their food overly salty which is common in Chinese take out foods. Now our main go to Chinese Restaurant for take out. The owner is fantastic and this restaurant is a big supporter of the local Chattahoochee High School Band Program. The food is great, portions are good, and the prices are very reasonable, and they treat you right. After eating, you don't get that heavy, greasy feeling because the food from Sunshine II is clean and fresh. Any leftovers get devoured immediately. I pretty much only come for lunch knowing the price tag, but I'm always happy to dine in or order out. Food: No, it's not the best food you'll ever eat. For $7 though, Sunshine is right where it needs to be. The lo mein is nothing special, but has a good mixture of noodles and vegetables. The fried rice is plain, so don't expect the fancy kind with all the different ingredients. The spring rolls are small but tasty and the small soup is the right size to pair with the meal and comes with a healthy serving of wonton noodles. Service: It's crazy how quick they move here - They asked for our order before we even had a chance to look down at the menu (which is probably something they should slow down) and then had the food out within minutes after we ordered. I even saw a to-go order or two come in and out pretty fast. The waitress did forget to ask for our soup choice when we ordered off the lunch menu, but luckily we realized we were missing something and the nearest waiter was willing to bring one out pretty quickly. Environment: It's quiet in here to begin, but it's okay to come in and break the silence. There are both tables and booths and I've even come in groups as well. There is plenty of space for your meal and a fair bit of parking in front of the strip, which does get busy and full at times. read more

I ordered the sesame wings and the steamed vegetable dumplings. It was good but the dumplings stuck together and I found the vegetables inside them without any seasoning. I loved the sweetness of the sesame wings though. I placed the order through grubhub since you couldn't order from their website and even though the order said it would take about 45 to 55 minutes to prepare that got it done in 20 minutes. I did not receive a message or anything that my order was ready for pickup though. The guy on the phone was very nice though. When I picked up the food I found the owners to be very nice and they already had my order all ready in the front for pick up. The customer service was wonderful. I ordered from this restaurant (which showed up as Sunshine Two Chinese on UberEats) because it had the fastest delivery time on the app and pretty decent reviews. Unfortunately, the only item that I thought was on par with other Chinese restaurants I've ordered from in Atlanta was the sweet and sour chicken. They were crispy and fried to perfection, and the accompanying sauce struck the right balance of all the flavors you'd expect with a nice kick of underlying heat. I also got an order of krab rangoons which was not fried as well and the wonton skins were a bit soggy and chewy. The filling inside was strictly cream cheese with no crab flavor whatsoever. Fried rice was an upcharge and it lacked flavor, with just a few basic vegetables included. Finally, the egg roll was just okay, nothing compared to what you'd get in a Chinese restaurant in NY, for example. I'll likely seek another option in the area the next time I order. read more

I love sunshine Chinese so much. It is my go-to local Chinese restaurant, I've been eating here for over 10 years and the quality has stayed consistent all this time. My personal favorites are the wonton soup, Mongolian beef, and crab rangoons. Sadly they only do carry out now, I miss eating in as the service was always excellent and the decor was fun and brings back childhood memories.
