Red P6. Sichuan Chili Wontons are SOOOO GOOD!

We come here every time we are in the Atlanta area. It is one of my favorite all-time Chinese restaurants for authentic food. The food is consistently excellent! The decor is lovely and classy. And the service is fast and friendly.

I see this place nearly every day, and also keep seeing the good reviews, so we had to try it. Small place that's somewhat quaint, but not awesome. Staff is friendly. Young lady seated us immediately. I saw a pic of a meal with fried rice that looked more white than fried so I asked about their fried rice, and whether it could be made a little darker. She said it's pre-made. That was disappointing. I ordered General tso chicken, and wife ordered Mongolian beef. Food arrived in minutes, and was piping hot. Both meals were good quality, and delicious. I'd say they were both well above average. I have a high degree of confidence they are very consistent, and that's not all that common here. Overall, it deserves a recommendation for a try. I don't think I could make it a regular stop, but if you like this kind of Asian food, you might.

Dined on Lunar New Year. The restaurant was peaceful yet. There was an air of excitement because of the new year. We had our lucky dinner and despite how busy it had gotten, the service was impeccable and dishes were consistently delicious. I highly recommend you make reservations if you're planning to dine there during a special holiday such as LNY or arrive early before the crowds come.

Cute place, great for groups or a date. At first, I thought the server didn't hear me when she quickly walked away after I asked for water with no ice. She definitely did. I also got a pair of chopsticks with mold on it, but when asked to replace it, she did. Food was amazing! I can't stop thinking about their calamari appetizer to this day! I ordered fish while my husband ordered chicken, and we had leftovers. Husband didn't like the fish because of the smooth texture but growing up with a diverse palate, I didn't understand and still loved it. Chili Spot in Duluth might be better, but location-wise, I'm glad we have a Chinese restaurant around here.

We went back tonight for dinner, and what a difference! The hostess seated us right away, and the waitress, from before, came right to the table to take our drink orders. After bringing our drinks, she asked if we were ready to order, stating that she wanted to put our 2 orders in before the large table (12 people) behind us. We thanked her for her thoughtfulness. The hostess brought out our soup orders, and I noticed they also have an additional food runner who helped clear dishes and bus tables. I ordered egg drop soup and my husband got the hot & sour soup. We also ordered Mongolian Beef and Sesame Chicken. It was all delicious! Despite not having a foyer, the restaurant was nice and warm inside, a welcome reprieve from the cold outside. We will definitely be back!

Enjoyed dinner here tonight. The chicken and vegetable dish we ordered was tasty but the combo Lo Mein left a lot to be desired. Service was quick and attentive and the vibe was on par with most other Chinese restaurants. Not sure it's enough to make me want to return but it served the purpose tonight.

Visited this local eatery and was satisfied with their menu and choices. My favorite dish to order for an appetizer was their salt and pepper calamari. I love how lightly fried it is and how it comes with jalapeños to add some spice. I ordered their pork dumplings which were decent but I much prefer mine to be fried. I ordered the sesame chicken with snow peas instead of broccoli and it was good. My husband ordered their General Tsos which he throughly enjoyed. I love how it is authentic Chinese food but it is also local. Service was great and server was attentive to our table. We will be coming back soon.

Great Christmas night dinner. Nice variety on the menu. Service was fast and friendly. We had wontons in chili oil, salt and paper calamari, Mongolian beef, orange chicken, and one other beef dish I can't recall. Everything was good the Mongolian beef was so tender, but there wasn't a lot of beef in the dish. The calamari was also very tender and delicious. There wasn't a full bar, but we stuck to soft drinks.

Authentic Americanized Chinese food but still good. We ordered the Scallion Pancake, Chicken Lettuce Wrap, and Fish in Chili Oil. All were tasty options but the Fish in Chili Oil, while marked as spicy definitely was not. We do authentic Chinese frequently and were excited to see that on the menu so I felt that was lacking. It was still good though. They do offer many authentic Chinese dishes so if you are considering ordering a spicy dish, let them know you mean it. I'm sure they are simply trying to cater to many of their patrons. Due to the overwhelming number of positive reviews, they aren't wrong. If we were to go back, we would tell them to really spice it up. The service was fantastic! We were greeted and sat, during a busy rush with no issues and served with enthusiasm. Our server(s) were very helpful and prompt on any of our questions or needs like drink refills and such. The decor is nice and restroom clean (which can make or break my reviews as a dirty restroom makes me question the cleanliness of the kitchen. But no concerns there. I'd definitely go back. I knocked one star only due to the Americanized "authentic" Chinese. While I believe they are trying to balance the two for their guests, to call this authentic felt a bit misleading since we drove out of our way to try this place. Several of the authentic Chinese dishes at true authentic Chinese spots we were craving were not options, nor was the spice level there, it was still good food.

Extremely yummy fried dumplings with sesame chicken and fried rice! It actually tasted like they made everything from scratch in the kitchen.

    Sheela K.

This place is SOOOOO freaking good and I've only tried the Kung Pao chicken so far. I was afraid of excessive heat or amount of peanuts but they balanced the dish out beautifully. The dish was perfectly savory, a hint of sweet, good kick of spice, and portioned for 2 meals I feel like ($17). The taste feels authentic like what you get in Chamblee in China town but a tad bit tastier Customer service was very welcoming Ambiance is pretty laid back nothing crazy fancy but it is kind of cute inside for a date night. Attire would not matter here. I will ABSOLUTELY be back and tell others about this place!

I found the pork belly to be really tasty. There was a nice marinade over the skin and meat, plus the skin was pretty crispy even when some of the pieces got a little too moist inside the container. I thought there was a generous portion of the crispy pork in my meal. There were some mustard greens in the rice plate which added nice variation in taste. I also got a small cup of complementary soup on the side which I did not try but it did smell good. Overall, I think that my meal was pretty good. We started with the Fuqi Feipian, which was on the salty side but otherwise pretty standard. The Seafood Shark Fin Soup was surprisingly bland, as if no salt had been added. We had to add red vinegar just to bring out some flavor, and it could have used more white pepper and seasoning overall. Next was the stir-fried squid with vegetables (I forgot the exact name). It included scallions, taro strips, and red peppers, but the taste was fairly average. The sweet and sour pork (Lychee Pork) was close to the Fujian-style flavor I'm familiar with, though the sauce was a bit light and not as tangy or sweet as expected. We also ordered the seafood fried rice noodles, which were very mild in flavor and lacked wok hei. It felt under-seasoned, almost like the seasoning was forgotten again. One standout dish was the red fermented rice pork intestines with snow peas, a classic Fujian specialty. The red fermented rice flavor really came through, and this dish was definitely worth supporting. The crispy roast duck was another highlight--crispy skin, juicy meat, and served with steamed pancakes, shredded cucumber, scallions, and sweet bean sauce. Very satisfying in every bite. The restaurant also offered complimentary orange slices at the end, which was a nice touch. Portions were generous, prices were reasonable, and overall it was a fairly filling meal. If you enjoy Fujian-style cuisine, it's worth giving this place a try.

It wasn't busy for a Sunday lunch but it's in a very tucked away location on Lakefield Drive. We ordered the beef noodle soup, gravy noodles, potstickers, XLB, and egg tarts. While presentation was great everything fell short except for the XLB and egg tarts. I do like that there is an option for a small portion of noodles - great if you want room to try other dishes. Noodles themselves were nice and chewy but the flavor and thickness of the broths felt like I was eating ramen instead of Chinese or Taiwanese noodle soups. Meats were tender. The gravy noodles had fish, pork, and duck in it and had too many mixes of flavors for us. The potstickers were large but too oily and didn't have much flavor inside. XLB were standard - I thought they were fine but could have used some more soup. Egg tarts were also flaky and good as expected. The waitress said be careful as they were hot from the oven but I couldn't wait since I love dessert. It was cold in the center lol. Otherwise flavor was great. Def have mixed feelings about this spot. Try it for yourself and see what you think.

The Hong Kong Style Lobster was a small portion and I barely got to eat any. 4 seasons appetizer was okay but just mainly fried stuff. Steak cubes were super small and I only had one. The walnut shrimp dish tasted like the honey shrimp from the low budget Chinese buffets. Dungeness crab was nicely decorated but didn't taste good. Peking duck wasn't bad but the portion was too small. It didn't help people in my party was grabbing big portions and being selfish. The sea bass was very good and I loved the crunchy ness to it. The snow peas dish was not very desirable as I had no clue what was inside. The fried rice was garbage as I tasted better fried rice from Panda Express. It had tiny shrimp bits like from low budget shrimp pieces from Krogers. Let's get to the table service part. One of the females had a real nasty attitude and didn't seem like they were too happy to be here. We finished eating and ate our cake. We wanted to have alittle fun with the karaoke but apparently the staff members kept coming in to "check" on us every 5 minutes. They weren't there to check on us as it felt like they were trying to rush us out so they can clean up. One employee even had the nerve to say, isn't it getting dark out? I was highly insulted by this. Affer spending approximately over $1700 at Canton House, I expected alittle more nicer hospitality. And from looking at their regular dining area, which maybe had only 4-5 tables with customers seat. They can use our business as the food here sucks. Affer the 5th time of employees coming to "check" on us, we all got tired and decided to leave. I do not recommend this place as the food and customer service just stinks here. I will definitely not giving them any of my hard earned money on the future. The dim sum as I remembered wasn't the best but I gave them a chance and still gave them a decent review. The value for the food is horrible. But I didn't hold anything back this time as they have been opened for a very long time.

The food came out in about 10-15 minutes, fresh and hot. The roasted pork and honey BBQ pork were both tender, flavorful, and perfectly balanced -- not overly salty, not too fatty, just really well-prepared. The honey BBQ pork had a slightly caramelized glaze with a smoky sweetness, while the roasted pork had a nice savory depth and crispy edges. The bok choy was fresh and cooked just right, adding a nice crunch and balance to the plate. The rice soaked up all the juices really well and tied everything together.
