    Spicy Beef Sirloin Noodles Soup.
    John F.

Decided to try out ChiliSpot because who can't love chili? The decor is somewhat dark and subdued. It doesn't look like an Apple Store on the inside which is a plus. Service is attentive and friendly. Ordered the Spicy Beef Sirloin Noodles Soup. I've had it twice here and it's a winner every time. You might get a bit more fat and tendon on your beef depending on what they cut up in the back. The spice level is really great with full flavor. The menu has a lot of variety and you will likely find something you would enjoy. This is one of my favorite places for hot and spicy food.

I have been wanting to try this spot for a long time now.. and I'm glad to say that this spot did not let my tastebuds down at all. I started with their Sichuan wontons that were steamed to perfection, with a numbing spice. Then, I ordered their beef noodle soup which was a HUGE portion, so you're certainly getting a bang for your buck. But, the star of the show was their honey marinated duck... perfectly tender and the honey sauce paired perfectly with the duck. I seriously have dreams about that duck. Service was good as well with a nice ambiance if you're going out for a lunch date.

I love Chilispot. Today was my first time actually eating in the restaurant, usually my job orders it togo for lunch. It's just as good. The portions are huge, inside is so pretty. Everyone is so nice. Everything. I ordered was so yummy. My favorite is the garlic pork dish and the cold garlic pork appetizer. Parking isn't too bad today bc I went on a weekday! I will always come back here!!

Such a great Chinese restaurant in the Great Wall Area in Duluth! The interior decoration reminds me of restaurants in China. The food came pretty fast, and everything was very fresh and tasty. I loved everything we got, especially the tofu chicken dish. I would definitely recommend coming here for good Chinese food at a very fair price.

Im craving szechuan soup and came across this spot! It didn't disappoint! The menu looks so fancy like a book with pictures on them. Food came out quick and its Very spicy but so good! I can't stop eating it but im sweating and burning (in a good way) Small place but the decors looks modern. Staff are very approachable hence the service is great! Can't stop eating the chongqing chicken bites! Did I mention very big portions too! I ended up eating leftovers for a week because it's so spicy and it was a lot! Definitely worth your penny! As for drinks they only have few selections of soda and beer. Would love to go back here and try their other foods and take my chicken and szechuan beef to go!

There are plenty of parking spaces, and no waiting for lunch, the service is courteous. We ordered Stir fried pig kidney and liver, and Dry pot lamb spine. The stir fry turned out great, except little grease, and the spine were just bones with little meat on them. Both tasted great.

Came here for dinner for a table of 5. They do not allow reservations below 7. We got the twice cooked pork, spicy beef pot, eggplant in garlic sauce and pickled vege with fish. Will start off with the pork, I thought this dish was pretty good. No complaints. Pretty flavorful and love how they didn't use too fatty pieces of pork. The eggplant dish was probably the best one. The sauce was flavorful and the eggplant was cooked well. The spicy beef pot was really too oily for us! There wasn't too many pieces of beef for the price and the post was mostly filled with bell peppers and onion. But to be honest, this was wayyy too oily to enjoy. The pickled vege and fish was definitely our least favorite. All the pieces of fish had big pieces of bone in them. The dish was also wayyy too fishy, it didn't taste clean or fresh. There was also absolutely not pickled vege flavor. The only upside about this dish was that it came with some vermicelli noodles on the bottom and that helped cut the oiliness of the beef dish. I thought the service was okay. Not very attentive and we had to request many things, like a serving spoon for the dishes. We were also confused about the rice ordering here. We only wanted one rice but they said we HAD to pay for two and then they only brought out one at first and we were told they would come refill after we were done. But they didn't come refill and we had to keep trying to get a servers attention to refill. Honestly tho, the one was enough for all of us and we unfortunately had to pay and waste for the second bowl of rice because by the time we got someone's attention, most of our food was finished except the oily beef pot which we did not want to finish. Other than that I think I would give them another try because they're still new. I would also suggest the papaya to be listed on the dessert page because it's definitely not an appetizer.

Located conveniently next to Teso, cute decor inside. Most importantly their food tastes good! We have been lacking Chinese food restaurants where you can order dishes and this fits the need perfectly. There is a variety of dishes and a huge menu. And huge portion sizes as well. Two dishes was enough for two people and a little left over. I like their cauliflower dry pot but it could probably be more spicy. The popcorn chicken had good flavor but wish the chicken pieces were a little bigger. Bean tip sprouts were good. Chicken soup was decent. Eggplants ok. Will come back to try other dishes

Based on my experience and the more recent reviews, the owner has taken the feedback from the earlier reviewers to heart and made improvements. My husband and I visited at 7 pm or so on Sunday and the restaurant had 2 other groups (and possibly other groups in the private rooms), we were seated immediately . Because I look Chinese, the staff spoke to me in Mandarin so if you can't speak the language you may want to fire up Google translate. The menu was in English and the photos Helped! Decor: Clean and fresh. I like the simplicity. Service: Good. Food: Beef Noodle Soup- A staple, I order this at every Sichuan restaurant we try. Their version got a A+ for boldness of flavor without overly salted and a decent portions. Easily one of my favorite versions of this dish. Kidney (appetizer section) - this dish is served cold with chilli oil/sauce and mung bean sprouts. A+ again! The sauce wasn't overly oily and just a hint of sweet. Most importantly, the kidney was well prepared and blanched just right preserving the texture. It was not rubbery as kidney becomes when overcooked. Chili Shrimp - my favorite also. Well sized shrimp. And again cooked right so it was crispy without overcooking. Green beans - Give this on a solid B. It was good but not distinctive. Spicy Stirfry pork - this was flavorful but we didn't expect the pork to be pork belly cut. Fans of this cut won't be disappointed. Overall, very happy with our experience. Best enjoyed with a group of 4 as the portions are generous.

Being as it was Valentine's day, we made sure to make reservations especially being a party of 9. We got seated right on time in one of their large private rooms with a lazy-susan in the center for added convenience. Service is a little harder with our smaller vantage point but we were still able to get everything we needed with a little added effort. As tradition, we shared everything family-style and our taste buds were more than satisfied by the end. Dry fried string beans (contains pork) were cooked well with the yummy small bits of ground pork. The Chongqing spicy popcorn chicken (contains nuts) was salty and plentiful. The Boiled fish w/ chinese green pepper soup caught us the most off guard because of how mouth numbing it is, without being necessarily that spicy (although maybe our tongue was too numb to tell anymore). There are a lot of small bones in the soup so be careful of choking. Deep fried handmade tofu w/ special sauce weren't super crunchy once at the table but it was very silky and smooth in their simple brown sauce. Not being a huge Kung pao chicken (contains nuts) fan, I thoroughly enjoyed the slight sweetness it offered compared to the other dishes on the table. The Handmade green bean jelly in chili sauce were by far my favorite dish given it's salty, sweet, and spicy combination on a uniquely textured noodle. The Dry spicy and garlic shrimp (head on) (contains nuts) were good on their own but especially over the a bed of rice. The Eggplants w/ garlic sauce was very flavorful and soft. Overall, we had a great experience. Service was efficient with all the food coming out seemingly immediately. Bathrooms were pretty clean and parking is pretty easy (if not totally swamped). Would come again if in a spicy, mouth-numbing mood as the name indicates!

The taste is good, we prefer spicy, so it got our approval! Highly recommended The decoration inside the store is quite stylish and the new store has a good environment.

ChiliSpot is a new restaurant that opened next to Teso. It's a chain and has a handful of locations. We visited ChiliSpot during their soft opening for dinner. It was packed, but the food came out quickly. Some of the better dishes were the cauliflower, black pepper beef, twice cooked pork, and the papaya milk jelly. The jelly is an appetizer, but I would order it last to have it come as a dessert. They add bamboo shoots into the golden soup beef which overpowers the entire dish and made it completely unenjoyable. The beef quality they use is quite fatty. The chongqing popcorn chicken was over fried and had basically no meat inside. The meal does not come with rice, so you have to order separately. If I recall, it's $1.50(?) per bowl or $3 for unlimited if you have more than... 8 people? I don't recall the details, but would definitely ask. Even though it's a new restaurant, everything felt a bit greasy. Service was rushed. It seemed like they wanted us in and out quickly even though there wasn't anyone waiting to be seated. I may return to try some other dishes when they're not as busy.

If you enjoy authentic Sichuan cuisine, this place delivers bold flavors, generous portions, and dishes that taste like they were made for people who appreciate real Chinese cooking. On our visit, we ordered the Fish Fillet & Beef In Hot Spicy Sauce with SoyBean Sprouts & Sichuan Pepper, Boiled Fish Fillet in Soy Sauce, Mouth-Watering Chicken in Cold Spicy Sauce W/Ground Peanuts, Pork Belly Slices W/ Preserved Vegetables and Spicy Noodles with Ground Pork and Peanuts, along with rice to soak up every last bit of sauce. The Spicy Boiled Fish and Beef was the star of the meal. The large bowl arrived covered with fragrant chili oil, dried chilies, and Sichuan spices. The fish and beef were incredibly tender and silky, while the broth delivered layers of heat, aroma, and numbing spice without overwhelming the flavor of the fish. Every bite was rich, comforting, and deeply satisfying. In contrast, the Boiled Fish Fillet in Soy Sauce showcased the kitchen's finesse with more delicate flavors. The fish was exceptionally fresh, flaky, and perfectly cooked, served in a light soy-based sauce with scallions and greens. It allowed the natural sweetness of the fish to shine and provided a wonderful balance to the spicier dishes on the table. The Chicken in Cold Spicy Sauce with Ground Peanuts was another standout. The chicken was moist and tender, dressed with fragrant chili oil, garlic, cilantro, and crunchy toppings that added texture and freshness. It was refreshing yet packed with flavor and made for an excellent appetizer. We enjoyed it with steamed rice. The Braised Pork Belly was beautifully prepared, with alternating layers of meat and fat that practically melted in your mouth. The rich soy-based braising sauce was savory with a touch of sweetness, making it the perfect companion to a bowl of steamed rice. The Spicy Noodles with Ground Pork and Peanuts were simple but incredibly addictive. The chewy noodles, savory minced pork, roasted peanuts, and fresh greens created a perfect combination of textures and flavors. Once mixed together, every bite delivered a satisfying balance of richness, crunch, and subtle heat. What impressed me most about Humble House was the authenticity of the food. The flavors are bold and unapologetically traditional, the portions are generous, and each dish feels thoughtfully prepared. The setting is casual since it's located inside the supermarket food court. If you're looking for authentic Sichuan and Chinese comfort food in Duluth, Humble House is absolutely worth a visit. Whether you're craving fiery boiled fish, comforting braised dishes, flavorful cold appetizers, or satisfying noodle bowls, this spot delivers. We'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu.

We found a restaurant not far from the matcha shop. It felt more like a Chinese takeout spot than a traditional sit-down restaurant, so there wasn't much to speak of in terms of decor. We decided to share everything we ordered. The first dish we tried was the Szechuan noodles. The flavor was excellent, but unfortunately, the dish arrived only lukewarm, as it appeared to have been sitting for a while before being brought to the table. Next, we ordered soup dumplings, but the restaurant accidentally brought out pan-seared dumplings instead. Thankfully, they let us keep them while they prepared our original order. The pan-seared dumplings were actually very good--piping hot and full of flavor. When the soup dumplings finally arrived, they were decent but didn't quite live up to the pan-seared version and lacked the same level of flavor. Finally, our Szechuan chicken arrived. It was hot, fresh, and delicious. The chicken was crispy with a great spice profile that delivered the classic Szechuan kick without being overwhelming. It was served with fried rice, which was fine but nothing particularly memorable. Overall, the experience was good but not exceptional. The food had some strong points, especially the Szechuan chicken and pan-seared dumplings, but the restaurant ultimately felt more like a solid Chinese takeout spot than a destination dining experience.

The sauce it came with was great too- perfectly sweet & vinegary. - Dry beef mixed noodles: The beef was super tender, and the noodles were flavorful. This is meant to be a cold dish, but my mom was a bit hesitant about that and they were more than willing to serve it hot! I know some similar places let you put the fillings into the broth yourself, but ours came already assembled (which is what I personally prefer). We loved how mala this broth is, probs my favorite dish we got. Also loved the texture and lightness of the rice noodles. Lots of great fillings like quail egg, spam, wood ear mushroom, cabbage. - Korean Kimchi Broth: Got this with pork chop (though actually it was pork ribs). This is a great choice if you want a tomato-y broth that has a hint of spice and acidity. Another instance of the great service because the pork ribs were kind of hard to eat with our utensils and when we asked if they could possibly cut it up, they did not hesitate to do so. Also, the pork was (again) so tender! Would, no doubt, come back for another meal here. 10/10 would recommend!

Pretty good. I had the curry noodle with beef and it was very nice. The beef was tender and the…read moresoup itself was flavorful. The service was okay- not bad but not great. Not sure I'd return, mostly because i felt like i was inconveniencing the staff but glad we tried it. The inside is actually really pretty and you can tell they put thought and effort into it. I loved the wallpapers!

Perfect if you're looking to celebrate more intimately with your group. We got their Go chu jap chae, Cream shrimp, Jjambbong, Tangsuyuk, and Seafood jaengban. It was my first time having Go chu jap chae but I really enjoyed all the bell peppers and onions with thin cuts of beef. The fluffy rolls were just a plus. Cream shrimp were also fluffy but my favorite dishes were definitely the Jjambbong and Seafood jaengban. It was difficult to say which one I liked better because they were both delicious in their own ways! The Tangsuyuk was also crispy with the sweet and sour dipping sauce on the side. Overall, my friends and I had a great time. The food was fantastic, the portions were hefty, and the prices were justified. Staff were attentive and efficient so I can't wait to come again. Come check them out, you won't regret it!

The jajangmyun sauce comes in varying degrees of spiciness, but even the medium isn't too bad; has a slight kick but doesn't take away from the overall taste. The tang soo yuk also has two different batter options, one is little chewier than the other, but it was recommended to me by the waitress and definitely enjoyed it with their sweet and sour sauce. The waitresses there have always been very attentive and professional, never regret leaving a big tip because they definitely worked for it. Overall, ambiance is pretty noisy as there are a lot of seats and since it's a very family orientated restaurant, it's usually been packed with families enjoying a meal. The restaurant also shares a parking lot with a Tesla super charger, so it was perfect for me to plug my car in while I eat.
