Complimentary because our waitress was busy and as an apology- we got these! The lemon was amazing- like lemon curd...

We are baaaccckkk! We loved this place before the Pandemic and have loved it ever since it's been back! My friend & I have gone through a lot of the menu over the years, and everything is so, so good! Breakfast & lunch only. Organic. *Organic coffee *Biscuits and gravy *English Butty *Lavender lemonade *Tuna melt *Great pastries Always very pleasant service. Nice, farmhouse decor. The main dining room has air con- the outer dining rooms do not. I work close by, but they close around 3pm on weekdays, so it's hard for me to get here by then. Lately, I have been loving that tuna melt on sourdough with a side salad and that iconic lavender lemonade. Parking is a bit difficult, they have a tiny front lot with only a few spaces shared with other businesses. I usually park on the street. I've heard they have another lot in the "back" but I've never had to go find that. I do love the Humble Bee!!!

Came here with a couple of friends for breakfast/brunch on the weekend. They opened at 8 and we were able to get a table immediately which was a pleasant surprise. The service from sitting down to leaving was exceptional and welcoming as our waitress was extremely friendly and attentive. I ordered the Bee Eggs Benedict which was packed with flavor. The serving was adequate and what I think sets it apart from other eggs Benedict's I've had is that they kept this simple. Some versions have so much going on and the flavors contrast each other leading more to a mush. This version is much more direct so that the flavor from the sauce, eggs, protein and potatoes was highly noticeable. My friend ordered the panwhich which is a play on a pancake sandwich that that serving was huge haha. The inside of the restaurant is very spacious and optimal for small or large parties. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a solid weekend breakfast/brunch joint in the Valley. Little bit of a small parking lot but overall, the service and the stellar food are enough for me to make a return visit!

My experience here was great because of the helpful service, cozy vibe, and yummy food. First, I found the staff to be very attentive. We were very quickly seated and given water. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and listed out some of the menu favorites. We were checked on and given water regularly, which was great! Second, I love the vibe in here. It's a bigger space than I expected. Within the restaurant there is a main dining area, a side room, and outdoor seating. There's also a little space for selling pastries/desserts that I found quite cute. As the name suggests, there is a humble vibe. The parking situation is a bit limited. There are not many spaces out front, which is something to be aware of if you're thinking of stopping by. Lastly, the food was really delicious. I ordered the Panwich and tried a little bit of my friends omelette. The omelette was really good and cooked to my liking. The panwich was also really good! I'm a sucker for the savory + sweet combo. The combo of sausage, pancake, syrup, marscapone cheese, and apples was elite. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and will be coming again more!

The tofu scramble was surprisingly very delicious , the flavor was really good . The potatoes also had a nice flavor . The home made lemonade was my favorite.

Honestly this place is humble and delicious. Food tastes great and you can really taste the quality ingredients. Coffee was delicious and service was fantastic. I definitely recommend coming over for a clean organic and tasty breakfast.

I happen to work across the street from the hidden gem that is the Humble Bee! The space inside is absolutely lovely & has a homey feel to it. The food is all sourced from local farmers & vendors. The servers are absolutely amazing, special shoutout to the wonderful Maddie! My tuna melt with side salad was beyond delicious, I savored every bite. My boyfriend loved the picadillo burrito he ordered, the salsas they make are the cherry on top, they are all absolutely delicious!!! If you have never visited I highly recommend, fresh food & there is something for everyone on the menu!

Really loved the vibe at Humble Bee! Super cozy with lots of plants, ambient lighting, and plenty of seating (including big tables for groups). The skylight room is my favorite--it gets so much natural light and feels super refreshing. The customer service was amazing too. The food tasted fresh and didn't feel overly processed or heavy. The chai latte was good, nothing too crazy, and I liked that the pastries weren't overly sweet. Definitely a spot I'd come back to!

EVERYTHING WENT WELL...even for my very picky inlaws. This little hidden gem was a nice surprise after a sorority event for my daughter. Brunch on a Saturday was a treat while we were visiting in October. The Pumpkin Spice pancakes were awesome and moist I had the special Carnitas breakfast tacos and my inlaws had the Benedict and omelet. Ryan was very attentive and efficient with service and recommendations Coffee and lattes were hot and the bakery pastries were hard to choose from. Along with my latte I also had the Dr.Feel Good juice and it was very good and just what the doctor ordered. There were plenty of seating options inside the two dinning rooms and patio seating when the weather is nice. I came back in November by myself and enjoyed Ryan's amazing service and the short stack with pork bacon and my yummy latte with a Dr. Feel Good to go.

It's been years since I was last here. Back then it was somewhat of a regular spot that we would stop in for Sunday brunch. Fast forward to now. A last minute meet up with some friends for breakfast. Well, as it's been years since we were last here, might as well see how it's been. Saturday just before noon, so pretty much the morning rush had disappeared. It is bigger than I remembered so they're doing well. Our friends were already seated so we didn't need to check in. What I remembered was the staff were all very friendly. This visit it was same but service was a little slow in the beginning. It took a while to get someone to help us. Well for food, a selections of dishes were ordered. The pancakes with fruit, French toast, one of the omelette and the animal style. Presentation, clean and simple. Nothing crazy as the food is the focal point. The French toast, that looked amazing. Thick pieces of bread with the mascarpone cream I believe and a good amount of berries. Pancakes, simple and classic. Nice portion both with the stack and fruit. Then you have the omelette, that was with toast and with a side of salsa and butter. It was quite nice and pretty filling. Lastly you have the animal style. A pile of potatoes with ground turkey, caramelized onions and topped with two over easy eggs. I don't remember that on the menu years back. It was quite nice but really filling with the potatoes. Overall, service was a little slow at the beginning. Did have to ask for a refill but afterwards it was great. Staff were all friendly. Food did take a little while but it was good. They still have baked good I believe that's available for purchase as well. We used to pick up a bottle of champagne next door from the store to make mimosas prior as they didn't have a liquor license. Not sure if that's still allowed. Years later, the food was what I remembered and is still quite tasty.

Came here last Sunday for the first time since the pandemic. Around 930 am the small parking lot was already filling up but there's plenty of street parking. No wait and got sat immediately. Our waiter was hilarious with her jokes between us figuring out what to order and reminding me they never sold oatmeal. I only had a bite of the panwich but that thing was heavy and filling. Eating a whole would feel like two meals. I stayed with the bacon eggs, bacon and orange juice. Will be back soon and won't wait another 5 yrs

Came here for Brunch today. Parking is Atrocious, off the bat. Opt to locate parking on Saticoy. If you park on the south side of Saticoy avoid jaywalking as it's too unsafe and you're better off walking further to use the crosswalk. This place has a nice atmosphere kinda reminds me of a cafe I'd see in Venice, Ca. Has a Boho vibe. We were acknowledged right away. Wait time was just over 5 minutes. Were given the option of where to sit, and that was nice. Staffing today was lower than what they should've had for a Sunday and service was slightly lacking as a result. That's primarily the reason for the 4 Star review. Staff overall was very hospitable and friendly. Ordered the pancakes and Chilaquiles. I ordered a coffee with cream on the side. Cream was never brought over had to request it. I also expected our waitress to check and refill the coffee more than what we experienced. Pancakes with fresh fruit were fluffy and spot on. Chilaquiles portion was smaller than I'm used to. Lacked chips. However the flavor was incredible. Slightly on the spicier side, but probably some of the best tasting Chilaquiles I've had anywhere. Place is perfect for smaller groups. Restroom was clean. I'd definitely recommend.

Nice place and easy to get a table. Everyone was helpful and the food was good! It was a little pricey but worth it.

Been hankering to go to Humble Bee for a long time and we finally managed to get parking so we could try it! I liked Humble Bee - it has all the right buzz words for me. Farm to table. Outdoor seating. Cozy cafe vibe with lots of plants and wood and some cool design stuff. I just wish the food we got this time had a little more oomph. Got a Benedict, a veggie omelet, and pancakes. Benedict eggs were runny and nice. Good proportion of hollandaise sauce. Petite muffin but proportional. I liked the benedict. The side of potatoes were a little undercooked and had very little seasoning on them, which was a letdown. Turkey sausage was a patty and also a little mild, but some ketchup and S&P helped them out. Veggie omelet had a pretty yummy flavor but the veggies were a little firm. I got this one with salad, which was a good move since the potatoes didn't do it for me at all. It was also just nice to have something light and green. Pancake was a classic diner pancake done well, good syrup, and served with actually ripe strawberries! This was great. I do think maybe sweet is the way to go here but I've been scorned by sweets lately and went savory instead. The chai latte (with oatmilk) was the best part of this meal. Sweet without being overly sweet, a good balance of spices (no overpowering single note!), and creamy dreamy. 10/10 for the chai. When I'm in the mood for sweets, I will return!

Humble Bee Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Humble Bee

Do you take reservations?

Their website allows you to book reservations through "opentable". Reservations are pretty easy to make for the same day, if during the week- but you will want to reserve a table further in advance, if trying to go anytime during the weekend.

Do they allow pets?

They have outdoor seating that does allow pets.

Any gluten free options besides salad and eggs?

One time they had a gluten free pancake and it was incredible, better than normal pancakes. I don't know how normal that is.

Any Vegan options?

YES!!!! My GF is vegan and I'm vegetarian. We are both very happy with our options.

I always get the caramel latte, which I love, and today my friend ordered the mocha. For breakfast, I had the French Toast Combo with two pieces of French toast, two eggs, and three strips of bacon. It was a LOT of food! They were also able to scramble my eggs with milk, which I really appreciated because it makes them so much fluffier. I also really appreciated that my eggs and bacon were served on a separate plate from my French toast. It's a small detail, but I loved that everything wasn't all piled together. My friend ordered the Belgian Omelette with tomatoes, mushrooms, bacon, and cheddar. I took a photo of the outside, but the photo definitely doesn't show just how packed this omelette was! The staff is always friendly, and I love that they offer both indoor and outdoor seating. I honestly don't think I've ever sat inside because sitting outside by the fountain is such a nice way to enjoy breakfast, especially in the cooler morning hours. If you're looking for a breakfast place with generous portions, lots of variety, and consistently good food, More Than Waffles is definitely worth a visit. They serve lunch too, although breakfast is clearly the star of the menu. I haven't tried lunch yet, but considering how consistent everything else has been, I'll have to give it a try one of these days!

Let me begin by saying that most of the food here is very, very, very well prepared and very, very,…read morevery good. What baffles me is the service. The last time I came here it was about five years ago, when it was still CiCi's. What I remember about that last time was how long it took us to get our food. I ordered steak and eggs, and when we asked when our food was coming, our waitress stared at me and said, "Well you ordered the steak . . . ". As if it was my fault that the food was taking a very long time. Regardless, when the food finally came, it was very good. However, the price point and the service was enough for me not to go back for a very long time. Until today. There are two seats on the very far left end of the bar that are lower than the regular bar seating. The hostess gave us menus promptly. There is a tall waitress working there who wears large glasses. Her hair was pulled back tightly. I'm not sure if she's is Asian or Hispanic. I'm not saying that to throw any shade at her ethnicity whatever it is I'm just saying that to try to describe who this person is. I have never in my life, been looked at so sourly and exasperatedly by a waitress as I have when this waitress saw my boyfriend and I sitting at the bar. No smile. Maybe she was upset because I had to flag her down because we had been sitting there waiting for someone to ask us if we wanted anything to drink. I asked for two coffees and two waters. She brought us the waters, and I never spoke to her again. Another waitress was kind enough to bring us our coffees after that. We waited a little while to order and yes, it was busy, but there were at least two or three people behind the bar at all times and I know they have other customers in the restaurant to serve so that doesn't bother me at all. So there was a third woman who took our order. We waited and waited and waited for our food. They did refill our coffee. After a while, I finally asked is our food coming? I was told let me go check by a fourth person. That fourth person returned and said that our food would be up soon. 10 minutes later I asked again if our food was coming. I understand certain things that take a long time like any of the pancake soufflés, but we did not order any soufflé pancakes. When I asked the second time when our food was coming, again, that person went to the kitchen to ask. When that person came back, they said oh it's not ready because you ordered the steak. The exact same thing they told me the last time we were here five years ago as to why our food was taking so long. I order my steak, medium rare every time it does not take that long to make a medium rare steak. Regardless, when I got my food, it was delicious. They forgot the side order of potatoes (because God forbid steak and eggs comes with potatoes) but I told them not to worry about it because I didn't wanna have to wait another 30 minutes to get them. My entree also came with a crêpe, and when they asked me what kind of crêpe I wanted, I asked for a Nutella crêpe. You know what they give you? A bone dry crêpe with whipped cream and a few drops of Nutella. I'm pretty sure that Nutella is supposed to go inside the crêpe not just a couple drops on top of it with a big giant dollop of whipped cream. And just because I feel like it, you know what's really low rent for a place with these prices? Tossing a to-go plastic disposable container of A1 on the plate with the steak and eggs. Seriously? You don't have a small little ceramic ramekin that you could at least put the A1in? I feel like that was put there just to fill up the plate because they don't give you any potatoes. Kind of a classless move. So like I said before, the food was very good and I'm sure it always will be. But when the waitress looks at you like you ruined her day, it reminds me why I haven't come back for years. Then when I really WANT to support that local business again, history of repeats itself. I don't like being blamed for my food taking forever because it's what I ordered. That is completely ridiculous and not the customers fault. So just be prepared for dirty looks and even if it's not that busy you're still gonna wait a long time for your food and maybe it'll be worth it but that's up to you.

The decor is exactly what you'd expect (and exactly what you want) from a neighborhood coffee shop: formica tables, padded chairs and booths, aging photos on the walls, and lively music playing on the radio. It was bustling at lunchtime on a Thursday, but not crazy busy (as on many weekend mornings), so I was seated immediately. The menu boasts a fairly large selection of options, from the usual breakfast items to sandwiches and burgers, daily specials, and those aforementioned muffins (which you can get instead of toast with your breakfast if you like). Today, I opted for their Spicy Louisiana Hot Link with eggs, grits and toast. It was a very generous portion of food for $16.95, and I appreciate how they've manage to keep their prices reasonable. The eggs were a proper over-medium, and the grits were both hot and creamy. The side of butter melted easily into the porridge, which, when salted and peppered, made for a satisfying and savory bite. The sausage was split and grilled, showing off a nice char; they were spicy, as advertised, but not overly powerful, and they paired very well with the warm, creamy egg yolk. Rye toast was full of caraway flavor, and really shone when topped with butter and a generous slather of Nat's house-made Apricot Jam (packed with fruit flavor without being too sweet). Yes, Nat's remains a solid, satisfying spot for breakfast and lunch. And though parking can sometimes be a challenge, I find the food is well worth the effort.

The brunch carbonara is my choice as I liked that it uses Arborio rice and all the elements of a carbonara but what elevated the dish was the green sauce all around the plate so you can mix it. The poached eggs were perfectly cooked and placed on top so you can imagine it soaked up on the rice. Very filling! I switched plates with my son and he also liked my order. If I were to recreate this at home I'll definitely put more bacon. In The breakfast quesadilla is also flavorful and it comes with 3 sauces. I only tasted it but we had this to go as it was also a huge serving. The drinks are good value the price. Overall experience here better than the Tarzana location (which is now closed). Note that this is a semi self service place which is why they adjusted their options for tip. We ordered via the QR code so we paid before we got the service.
