I'm so disappointed in this place and I will never be coming here again because of some dumb policy they have, if you place an order for pick up, you have to get back in line to ask for your food, even if you place the order along time ago, and if your food is ready and sitting on the counter. I put a pick up order on Uber eats and I gave them lots of time to make it, I went about 10 minutes after my pick up delivery time so that I can make a fast pick up on my way to work, there was a huge line When I got inside and when the cashier was done taking someone's order, I just said hi I'm here to pick up my order, and he scored me in front of all of the customers said that I had to get in the back of the line until I talk to him to pick up an order that was already READY! I'm never coming here again, the food isn't worth it to have to wait in line to pick up some thing that I already ordered, that's the point of ordering!!! This is the dumbest policy since this place is notorious for being slow! This guy is the worst at his job, because he actually kept stalling the line by telling me to get in the back of the line, when it would've been faster to ask me my name and just pass me the bag. He obviously can't multitask, and that's not a restaurant that I want to go to.! Good luck finding a parking space here, be prepared to park on the street! The café is small and was packed when we came on a Sunday morning. I ordered the rose matcha and really loved it. My husband and my friend both got the caramel latte, my husband thought it was too milky and not strong enough. For food, I had the chicken quesadillas and really enjoyed them. My husband ordered the supreme waffle, it was very good overall, though the strawberries weren't ripe. My friend tried the chicken pesto sandwich and said it was good but could've used more chicken. This is truly a gem!! I've passed this eatery many times and had no idea it existed. Thanks to a great friend, I now know of its existence....kudos to having other foodie friends. Absolutely 5 stars! They really seem to care here. You order at the counter, pay, and they bring your food to your table. It's easy to forget to tip if you are paying cash, get change. They brought our food and my French toast was so nicely plated that I almost didn't want to eat it! It was delicious! My friend also loved her sandwich. Service was great, super friendly. Ah yes, the Victory Caffe, the neighborhood goodness. A hidden gem to many, an absolute "go to" to others in the community. Located in a small strip mall on Vanowen and Kester, this cafe serves up some of the best coffee, breakfast and sandwiches. I highly recommend one of the most popular items, the Supreme Waffle, topped with bananas, berries, vanilla ice cream map and Nutella. Same price whether it has a protein or not so we got one with bacon to split. For about $11 and some change it wasn't that big but it was flavorful. This is what you wish all those viral cafes in mid-city would be. Breakfast for 2 for under $30. The food is always done right! I prefer my breakfast to taste good over how pretty & viral it is. A random stop in and it's still super solid. This visit was a bit later in the day. It was a little quieter and easy to find parking. I have been here numerous times and it's always a win. This visit was no exception. I decided to order one of my favorite go-to's here, which is the lox sandwich on a bagel. Today's bagel was the softest I've ever had from here. Okay so admittedly; I think I came in on an off day/morning. I came w my vegetarian friend who loves this place and is a regular but we kept having issues during our breakfast here. This place is located in a small plaza with limited parking though there is street parking available if you are willing to potentially walk a bit. My friend and I both ordered the breakfast burrito and she got a lavender latte and here is where the trouble started. - her lavender latte was made without any coffee (yes I am serious), it was lavender syrup with milk. she asked for it to be remade and it was remade - my breakfast burrito took nearly 30 minutes to come out and we had to request it to come out even though other customers who arrived later than me, including 20 mins after me were able to get their food first??? - my breakfast burrito also did not come w any utensils or napkins to the table (and they are not lying out) so we had to request this Breakfast burrito 4/5, this was good! They use a delicious, fresh ciabatta bread. It was a really great option for a slightly healthier breakfast. They have tons of smoothie and açaí options, but I ordered an oat milk coffee and enjoyed that too. Excellent breakfast burrito in this place. I got mine with organic chicken sausage and the flavors were just popping! My spouse told me about a hidden gem in a strip mall on Vanowen Blvd, so I took a friend there for lunch. The place is small and very clean, with a few tables, and has a cozy, inviting feel. Above the counter is a large menu with lots of meal options, including many vegan choices. We placed our order through the window, and a friendly young lady took care of us, being very accommodating with any small changes. After receiving our number, we sat down and waited for our food to arrive. My friend ordered scrambled eggs with roasted potatoes (delicious), tomatoes, and a side of fruit, which was beautifully plated, as you can see in the photo. I had soft scrambled eggs with bacon, those amazing roasted potatoes, and a sausage that was huge and incredibly flavorful--almost like a Bratwurst. It was absolutely fantastic. However, my friend, in her pre-boomer years, needed to use the restroom. Unfortunately, they don't have a restroom for customers, just so you know. But they kindly made an exception and allowed her to use the facilities because she's a senior, which we really appreciated. The only downside, and it bothered both of us very much, was the behavior of a group that came in. It wasn't busy--just us and another table with two people--when two women with four kids arrived. They seemed to be ordering something to go but sat at the table right next to us. Their kids went completely wild, screaming, running around, and jumping on the chairs. The women didn't seem to care at all. The noise was so overwhelming that we couldn't even have a conversation. At one point, my friend and I had to speak up and ask the women to please control their kids so we could enjoy our meal and hear each other talking. We were both hoping that someone from the restaurant staff would step in to address it, as it shouldn't have been up to us to do so. First let me tell you that it is directly across from the DMV in the same shopping mall as Little Cesars. It's hard to spot as you are driving by. It's on the same side of the street and within walking distance of Valley Pres. Hospital. I love this place. The food is really fresh. I have sandwiches for lunch but my favorites are the breakfast plates, the smoothies and the coffee drinks. Every plate comes with a little edible orchard. The place is small but you can eat outside or do takeout. It is small but worth the hassle. Depending on staffing orders can take a Minute. But small businesses are not fast food restaurants. This place has a huge vegan selection and plenty of healthy options (which I ADORE since I'm on a diet). My partner ordered a mango smoothie, and I went with the house breakfast. It came loaded with scrambled eggs, chicken sausage, seasoned tomato, and house potatoes, plus sourdough toast and ketchup. Just look at the picture, it was divine. The presentation was beautiful and the food was delicious. I really appreciated how fresh and high quality the ingredients were. Nothing was greasy, which is usually my biggest complaint, and I loved that I could actually taste every element. The pumpkin spice latte was tasty, a bit sweet at first, but perfect once mixed. The mango smoothie was good, but the dragon berry smoothie my boyfriend ordered was even better. I loved it. The prices are very fair for the quality, flavor, and portion sizes. This is a small shop, so more of a grab-and-go establishment, but you can order online via their website to expedite the pickup process. Service was fast and efficient. My food was ready after 15 minutes. There's a small lot and I was able to park right away. During peak hours, I can see the parking area being a little more difficult. There's something for everyone here, given the menu options. I highly recommend checking out the menu so you can gauge for yourself. I see they also offer boba drinks now - not sure that would be my go-to here, but I like that boba is offered earlier in the morning here, too. I'll be back again and again. read more

I just ordered a cold brew and it was delicious. It's hard to find good coffee in this part of the neighborhood. I really love this place and order delivery from here often. I get the GF waffle with blueberries inside it, and the tofu scrambled without the spinach. Love how vegan friendly they are! Recommend calling ahead to order because they took a while to prepare our order (they had estimated 20 minutes over the phone, I showed up around 35 minutes after we placed our order thinking I was running super late but they ended up needing a few extra minutes after I got there so it worked out for me!) I liked the vegan waffle but I think having it packed togo isn't the right move as it was a lil soggy by the time I got home. Still tasted great but wish it had more crisp to it. It also just comes plain and costs an extra $3 to add fruit to it (banana, strawberry, and blueberries). The guy on the phone had repeated "beef-ish" when we ordered but I guess accidentally put in "breakfast" instead because that's what showed up on the receipt.
