Hop Lounge is amazing. Stopped here on the way back from Tubing at the Madison River. It looks like they're building a master plan community around this. You order food downstairs and then go upstairs and order your beer on top. There is a bathroom downstairs upstairs. There is a huge inside area and also a patio. Food hit the spot! We got to pick two sauces each and a side with our sandwiches. All great! It's counter service and not table service so you don't feel smothered. Just a delightful stop.

Pulled Chicken with rice and cole slaw

Staff wasn't really helpful when ordering when asked of any recommendations and the only answer you get is depends what you like and a blank stare. After you order you go upstairs and find a seat and they bring you your food. After finding a seat at a table we waited for the table to be bussed and no one ever came or apparently didn't hear us or care the two times we asked. That being said it's a pretty loud place but it was to be expected as it was more of a bar setting. They have lots of beers on tap and plenty of tv's to keep you busy while waiting. The food itself - the chicken was pretty good along with the barbecue sauce, the rice was good, and I liked the slaw but they do warn you that it's a vinegar based slaw which if you don't like vinegar you'll want to choose something else. I'll probably give it another go some time down the road.

    Bullshit

For $18 this is what I got. Considering you can get a half chicken for the same price, I figured I'd get a little more food than this. Wasn't super stoked to try what doesn't seem like much more than rotisserie chicken on rice, but this sealed the deal. Not good. Don't try.

Ok...4.6 stars. Huge beer selection. Bigger than anything in Oregon, except maybe a beer festival. The sound was way too loud to hear anything. That was a definite minus. You have to order the food from downstairs but they don't tell you that ahead of time. They don't even have the downstairs menu!!! I'd love to come back in the summer when you can sit outside and enjoy a conversation without all the noise. Cheers

Beer selection and atmosphere are on point. Food needs some work. The breaded chicken sandwich was the most disappointing attempt at a chicken sandwich ever. Certainly won't be ordering it again. Mac n cheese is just a boxed Mac n cheese and the baked beans are Busch's. If I come back I'll stick to the beer and won't order any food. Not worth it.

Cool person working the front. Place was clean. Yet, since they were closing soon I was told I only get the last bit of fries they had vs dropping some more. So I was pretty sad about that

I cant tell maybe chicken and cheesw

Decent food but the best beer menu in town. Also beers are very well priced compared to other places downtown.

Our waitress was very kind, provided great service & great recommendations! We had the FRITES & FONDUE for an appetizer, fries were great, the Parmesan was a nice touch and the fondue didn't have a lot of flavor. We both loved the our entrees, as we continued our meal seeing all the other entrees going to tables we are excited to come back to try the vast options on the menu. The cheesecake was delicious & fresh we truly appreciate the quality & taste of desserts being made in house- you can tell the difference & it is absolutely worth it. We will be back, it may be over an hour drive for us but a drive well worth it.

The Fungi Pizza: This is our usual go-to, but the dine-in version was totally off. For takeout, they pack the greens separately so you can control the heavy lime flavor, and they include a cream of mushroom sauce that makes it incredibly creamy. In the restaurant, they forgot the cream sauce entirely and piled the greens on top with so much lime it tasted like biting into lemons. We tried adding salt and pepper to cut the intense acidity, but it didn't help at all. The Japan Chicken: On the plus side, the Japan Chicken was excellent--incredibly juicy and crispy. This dish is actually much better when you dine in. When we get it for takeout, it loses its crunch and ends up feeling like a basic chicken nugget. Definitely order this one fresh at the table.

I have to say Bunkhouse Brewery was one of my favorites here in town. I thought their beers were creative and more on the experimental side but what really drew me into one of their beers was an ESB (Extra Special Bitter) and the one I had had brown sugar in it which really put a great spin on this beer type I've had on a variety of occasions. The specific name for this beer is the Bozeman Pride ESB. The brown sugar in this beer tempers the bitterness and you can taste the brown sugar itself in the flavor profile. This gives the beer a great complexity which made this beer a super fun and memorable beer to enjoy and drink. I could easily delve in for another time and time again.

They have a wide variety of flavors and you can really taste each individual ingredient within them. When I went I had the bonfire blonde ale and it is definitely in my top 3 beers I've had to this day. Definitely worth checking out !!! The only con I would have is that the inside is a little small when it comes to days with bad weather.

When we came in at around 4pm, there seemed to be plenty of tables available but after an hour, the place quickly filled up. Vibes/Service: Parking lot in the back and it seemed there was some street parking available as well. Many, many tables available with bar seating as well. It can certainly fit a larger group. Great service from our server. Checked on us often and filled up our waters. Food: Because it was our first meal here, we wanted to try out their staple dishes. -Bison Potstickers ($16): 5 pieces topped with mango and garlic chili sauce and served with some coleslaw. Rich and filling, paired well with the sauce. Would order this again! -Bison Patty Melt ($22): it was my first time eating Bison, the waiter suggested medium rare. It looked more red than I usually like but it actually was juicy and tasty-- I guess this is the difference between a regular beef patty. I'd also order this again. -Served with pepper parmesan fries which was so uniquely food. Fries were fresh. -Huckleberry Cream Ale ($8/pint) paired well with my meal.

My server knew the special menu, regular menu and drinks very well. I ordered the bison patty melt and tots for the meal and the Bridger Hazy IPA for the drink. The bartender recommended the IPA and it was excellent. The homemade tots were great. A shredded potato in the middle, nice and creamy and crunchy exterior. Feedback was there were only 5 on the plate. Definitely could use more. The bison patty met was perfectly cooked. A lot of folks overcook and dry out the bison. It was perfectly medium and juicy. Feedback would be a little char on the patty would be great. The service really tailed off in the end, it was not super busy and they had about 5 servers behind the bar. I sat there for at least 15 min until another bar tender asked if I wanted another brew and my server came about 5 to 10 later to attend to things.

**November 2025: Saturday Night**…read more My mom and I were looking for a spot to enjoy dinner that had parking. We drove around downtown Bozeman for a good 30 minutes, and didn't have any luck in securing parking. I found Mountain Walking Brewery and thought I'd take a chance and prayed that there would be a lot or that I would be super lucky with street parking. We were in luck and there was one very small spot near the front of the restaurant - hallelujah! The restaurant was poppin' - almost every table was taken, but we were offered bar seating and we gladly accepted. After purusing through the menu I decided that we should try a variety of items including a side of Brussels sprouts, Bowl of Bison Chili, and a Fig and Arugula Pizza. Service was quick and we got all our items in a pretty timely manner. The pizza had a really great crust the dough had a nice bounce to it. I think for me they were a tad overly generous with the balsamic vinegar glaze which made the pizza quite salty. I would definitely order a pizza again but perhaps the Margherita or the Carnivore. The bison chili was a good standard bowl and the brussel sprouts while crispy was also very salty - I think it was definitely over dressed, but maybe since the majority of patrons were drinkin the salty foods would pair well. Seems like a fun place to hang out, but for me I'd probably pick anything that doesn't have glaze or soy sauce.
