They have patio seating so we had no problems dining with our dog. They even brought a bowl of water for our dog. Very good 1st experience. Very handicap accessible as well. I stopped in here with my bf to grab a quick bite to eat. Trying to find parking in that shopping plaza is a nightmare, but we finally did and walked in with no line. Ordered our food, sat down and it was less than ten minutes it was served to us. He got the California burger and I grabbed us some sweet potato fries and I got the bistro salad. Everything came out hot and fresh. Inside had a really good ambiance, modern style with a bar inside. A little boujee but it is Burbank so it makes sense. We didn't grab any drinks since we were passing through but it's good to know that this Hook Burger has a bar in it. It seems bigger than other locations and they have an outside patio as well. Overall, this place isn't that bad. The burger is not to die for, but it's not bad. They do have a pretty big menu. I would say the closest thing that comes to it is Habit Burger. Not really the taste, but more of the restaurant style and all the items on the menu. Some people might see it differently, but that's the closest thing that I would say. The service is honestly really good. They do come and pick up your food when it's done, and they also bring the food to your table in the beginning. They do have avocados, which they can put on the burger, which makes it a lot better. I would definitely say give it a shot, and it's probably a 50-50 if you like it or don't like it. read more

I was a little disappointed in my visit to Hook Burger. On my last visit, I ordered a Caprese chicken sandwich with fries. I definitely wouldn't make that selection,again. The ciabatta roll wasn't fresh and the arugula glaze had a weird taste. The sandwich was a soggy mess.Before taking a bite, I had a bad feeling about the sandwich . If you look at my posted picture , the inside looks weird and gooey. What's with that glaze ? Anyway, the fries were good and my order came out quick. We came here for dinner on a Sunday. Wasn't too packed. You placed your order and they will give u a number and u find your own table. And the food will be brought out to u. It's not a restaurant where they come take your order. They have a soda/drink station where u can get your drink and refills. Had come here many times before, but it had been a while. Was craving a burger. The staff was nice and the burger was good. But the place was just, dirty. Wet, used rags were left where you would fill up your drinks. Not just one, but a few... I watched as the staff walked by it a few times. One even filled the ice station, and left the dirty rags. Turkey Burger was SUPER yummy, I opted for lettuce wrapped, no sauce, no cheese, add avocado. It was hot & juicy & with the added avocado didn't need sauce. My Original Hook Burger was delicious, even the Trio fries plate (regular fries, onion rings, and sweet potato fries)! I picked my friend up from the Bob Hope Airport (which is now Hollywood Airport), and Yelped this place. My experience with Aungeliq was awesome! She was literally the only kind and helpful person there! She was also the ONLY one who kept a smile on her face the whole time I was there! My reviews are basically 50% food and 50% service.. more like 80% service. If service is terrible, then I would not come back for the food. It is not worth the hassle! My experience with the other staff was disappointing. My friend ordered a side salad with balsamic sauce, and an orange soda. The balsamic sauce was chunky and thick.. which should not have been! My friend kindly went up to the staff near the kitchen (there were 4-5 people), and was completely ignored. One of the staff told her that "maybe they didn't stir it well enough" and just turned her back on my friend.. leaving her standing there confused. If the sauce isn't right, GIVE US A NEW ONE. You expect us to eat chunky sauce for salad? It was gross! She didn't even finish it. Another terrible experience.. I was waiting for one of the staff to notice me while I was at the counter so I could ask for a cup of water (halfway finishing my burger). The staff just stared at me and looked/ walked away. They weren't even doing anything productive! I had to go up to Aungeliq to ask for a cup of water WHILE she was busy.. and even then she stopped what she was doing and got it for me! Hook Burger, you need to hire friendlier staff who will go the extra mile. Service is everything. Hire more people like Aungeliq. We pay for our food, even if it's just the sauce.. fix it. After flying into Burbank airport, we were starved and really wanted burgers. Decided to come here as several of our friends had highly recommended it. Then to teach me a lesson, she makes my husband repeat himself over and over as he tells her that he wants water. When I slowly told her that he wants water, she tells me that she couldn't understand his accent. Regardless of the crappy welcome, we chose to let it go because we were starving. A very sweet guy brought over the food. Unfortunately the food wasn't good at all. Unless it was an off day, it was so bad that McDonald's would have tasted better. I had the turkey burger which was super bland. No flavor at all. It was made with dark meat which it should have been better but not this time. My husband had the veggie burger and even he couldn't finish his burger. He usually gobbles veggie burgers but this one just wasn't good enough. My hubby did like the onion rings but the fries were bland and soft. We ate few bites of the burgers just to tie us over. It was the most disappointing meal in a very long time.
