Their fries come in a cone of goodness, and their staff are ALWAYS polite. It's self seat after you order and they bring your food to your table. I always get a side of ranch and bbq for the fries ( no additional charge, me love free!!) And my meal is complete. There is ALWAYS a line during lunch time so don't be surprised. Stopped in at Hook Burger in Burbank because Grain Lab was closed and I am so glad we did! The food was outstanding. I had a Grilled Cheese Sandwich where one of the cheeses was an herb creamed cheese...wow, what a wonderful addition to the sandwich. I also had delicious sweet potato fries with a horseradish sauce that paired perfectly. Tried this place out a couple of nights ago. I'm part of a City of Burbank group on Facebook and someone asked for recommendations for a good burger and many people mentioned this place. I'm fairly new to Burbank and always looking for new places to try out. I called and placed a phone order and my boyfriend went to pick it up. Food was fresh and and ready when he got there :) I got the Hook Burger wrapped in lettuce and added bacon. It was incredible!!! I'm always worried about burgers being under seasoned but I had nothing to worry about with this burger. The french fries were also seasoned very well. My boyfriend got the Bistro Club and I almost wanted to trade with him lol it was SO good! I usually shy away from chicken sandwiches for fear of dry chicken. This chicken was juicy and flavored perfectly. The bread was perfectly buttered and toasted. I will definitely be getting this the next time we order from them (and we definitely will be ordering again). He also got onion rings and they were perfectly fried. The batter was also seasoned properly, which a lot of places normally don't get right. All in all it was a great experience and I encourage you to give them a try! read more

All I can say is that the fast food quality here is amazing. If you're comparing it to five guys, in n out, Wendy's, etc your typical burger and fries place, the food here is pretty amazing. A bit on the pricier side so I'd say it's a fancier fast food restaurant too -- also because the taste quality Is immensely higher than your normal fast food restaurant. They have different flavored burgers -- We got the Maui burger which had teriyaki sauce and pineapple and the crispy chicken sandwich. I'm really torn about updating my review. We've been eating here for a couple of years now. I just had the best burger I've ever eaten while we were there yesterday. The veggie burger is great. They have this big book that has all of the ingredients which is great if you have food allergies--like our family. The only problem is that they really messed up yesterday and my daughter is paying for it. My daughter's burger came out with the wrong bun. We always switch to the wheat bun because they have allergies. When her burger came out with the wrong bun, we stressed the importance of the wheat bun because of her food allergies. They brought out another burger that was still wrong. It came out really fast and I figured the server grabbed the wrong burger off the line originally. It didn't have all of the toppings she had ordered--no tomatoes or onions--but she was hungry and wanted to eat. I asked if she wanted to send it back again. She said no and ate it. She's very sick now. My husband (who worked in a restaurant in college) thinks they might have just switched the bun. This would have been fine for someone who just wanted a different bun. This is NOT fine for someone who has food allergies. Cross-contamination is very serious which is why we stressed the allergy. We've had such good luck eating here. We've come back, brought family when they've come in from out of town, and really enjoyed everything we've eaten here. Unfortunately, we won't be bringing our children back. I just don't feel safe letting them eat here. My daughter is missing school, feeling awful, and we're very lucky that this allergy isn't more severe. It could have been worse. So I'm always looking for a new spot to grab a delicious burger at and what I found here was about average of what you would expect from a place who's trying to keep it all their own some way. This was my first visit here and who knows I might come back again as my burger was relatively good but not good enough that I would order the same one again I say this because I ordered the Hickory Burger and wile it was good I just wasn't feeling the Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce on it don't get me wrong it's a delicious sauce but I feel if you have a BBQ burger on your menu you shouldn't be using such a generic sauce that anyone can get at Costco it just makes me want to pay less for it because of this aspect. The burger it self though was cooked perfectly and had just the right amount of delicious fried onions on it to make it hit the spot after each bite! They also have some pretty good onion rings here as they had a delicious crunch to them and an all around awesome flavor even by themselves. One of the real downfalls here was their fries my lady ordered because they came as a soggy mess to the point of where she didn't really want to eat them if we weren't in a bit of a hurry we probably would have sent them back as both of us felt they were pretty bad and just all around limp! I think I understand WHY. Because I was curious as to why they were called 'Hook Burger'. It sure got me hooked, and I was not disappointed! I added bacon & swiss cheese. I'm not sure what type of bun they use. It could be just a regular bun and they toast the top with a little glaze to make it shine, or it could be totally something else I'm not sure. The burger came out looking delicious. I took my first bite into it and it was just ok. It didn't satisfy me one bit where i knew i would want to order it again if next time i came. The burger itself gets the "premium" factor down by delivering it with fresh items on a platter looking like it came out of a 4/5 star restaurant. Yes the 5*oz prime chunk was cooked well and not dry, but that prime chunk is to much meat for this burger that all you taste is that prime chunk and all the other factors such as the caramelized onions and honey dijon mustard get hidden away. The burger was amazing!! The sweetness of the bread and juicy burger with the salty bacon was perfection. The fries and onion rings were good, but nothing special. BUT we brought home the Cobb salad leftovers and ended up eating it a little later. Which was average by the way. Only to find a metal piece in the salad. We used to love hook burger, I'm so sad to say that we will no longer be eating at hook burger. We arrived around 8:15 to order, received our food around 8:40. We ate for ten minutes when an employee told us they were closed, my son's patty was RAW in the middle they told us if we wanted a new one we had to pay for another one ! 5 minutes later another employee came to us and said that we had "exceeded our time" ?!?!
