Amazing service and food. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu but definitely try the fried chicken.

Hubby & I had dinner here again last night. We sat in the bar area again. It was very busy. Thus time service was slow. It took awhile for our server to come to the table. It took awhile to get our drinks & place our food order as well. We ordered the bread again. It was good. We also got the potstickers & a California roll. Hubby had the chicken wings & a side of fries. I had a bowl of the lobster bisque. The potstickers were good, but the sauce was not. It seemed to be just soy sauce with some sesame seeds in it. The soy sauce was extremely salty. The sauce needs to be good for potstickers for us. The California roll was okay. They were small & again the soy sauce was way too salty. I couldn't even eat it. The chicken wings were not what hubby expected. They were huge. They were crispy but tender. The sauce was not good & it was also runny. The fires were good. They were crispy. For $13 for a side of fries, they should be good. The lobster bisque was good as always, but it wasn't hot. We didn't see our server again after runners bro us are food until we were done eating. We will give the place a break for a while. We expect better service & food for $107 before tip.

Who says you can't find good seafood in the valley? High Tide delivers every time! We visited for a friend's birthday and had reservations and our table was ready for us. Ambiance is sea themed without being over the top. Classy and understated. We ordered a few appetizers for the table: Lobster Mac & Cheese - order it! Crab Cake - order it! We also loved the fried avocado that is plated along side. Calamari - order it! I've been to High Tide a couple times before and love the Chilean Sea Bass, but the special got me hooked! It was Herb Crusted Atlantic Black Bass served with Crab Risotto, long steamed artichoke and lemon caper sauce. Y'all I was in HEAVEN. The fish was cooked perfectly and had a nice outside crunch with the nut coating. The crab risotto was amazing and all paired well with the lemon caper sauce. Definitely would recommend! Birthday dessert was their bread pudding. I'm not overly a bread pudding fan, but had a bite as it went around the table and it was really delicious!

We've eaten here several times after Saturday night church. The service is always really good. Most entrees we have tried have been very good. Today we tried the Baja Covina Sea Bass which was good but it was a little overcooked and a little sweeter than I expected. But, it's always fun to try new dishes. Don ordered the blackened redfish with garlic green beans and he switched out for the risotto. His meal was so flavorful without too much spice kick. We will both add this dish into the rotation. We love the atmosphere and the music level is nice as you can have a conversation at your table.

3.8/5 (main dishes were ok , we enjoyed the appetizers and desserts more). Great service. Our waitress was great in recommending some items e.g calamari vs ceviche. Ambience was a bit dark but there were nice large booths and more intimate dining. Our waitress let us taste the ceviche (2/5) which was more of a Baja (sweet) .. and we were glad because it was not enjoyable for our palate. Calamari 4/5 and warm sourdough bread 5/5 (which is normally complimentary in other restaurants weird) was great. Gumbo 3/5 was not good lacking the seafood unami flavor. Shrimp scamp 4/5 was surprisingly good not heavy butter but more broth perfect juicy shrimp and al dente noodles. Steak(4/5) was tender and fries nice and crispy. Chilean Seabass (3/5) while I love seabass the sauce just didn't highlight this amazing fish but retracted it by being too heavy , the risotto was nicely cooked RESTAURANT WEEK - 4/5 appetizer shrimp with roasted eggplant goat cheese n peppers was good - 2/5 seafood stuffed manicotti was WAY rich with no acid to balance the heavy cream sauce - 5/5 blonde brownie with espresso ice cream was so good! Cocktails were good (old fashion and seasonal old fashion). Key lime(5/5) pie was yummy! Oh yeah make sure to make reservations via Opentable!

We've been a few times, and it's one of those places where, based on the prices, you expect the service and food to really deliver. Does it? Well... sort of. The pricing suggests white tablecloth service, but hey -- this is Arizona, and most places keep it pretty casual. That said, the service during our visit was just okay. It wasn't busy, so I expected a little more attentiveness and warmth from the staff. Not bad, but definitely room for improvement. The atmosphere grabs your attention at first with all the kettles and maritime touches, but it leans more old-school than modern. Personally, I think the ambiance could use a refresh -- something warmer, more inviting. As for the food: Shrimp cocktail and crab cakes were fine. Calamari was a letdown -- not your traditional style. Cioppino was decent, hearty enough. Seared ahi sandwich with fries hit the spot. Tide Roast was good. Fish and chips was probably the best value -- crispy batter, though I'd prefer larger pieces of fish. It seems like the kind of place folks reserve for special occasions, and I do like it overall -- but in my opinion, it falls just short of matching the premium price tag with a premium experience. Saluti!

If you want the best ceviche in the valley find it at High Tide! They put a little twist on it with avocado and pumpkin seeds. I finally tried their poke and it was delicious!

The Chilean Sea Bass and Oysters were great! Scallops were only so-so, maybe slightly overcooked. Stick with traditional cocktails like a martini since we didn't love the Margaritas or Wicked Strawberry (too much juice). They have a good Happy Hour (Crabby Hour) which helped offset some pricey dishes. Desserts were good (bread pudding and creme brûlée). Overall pretty good for a seafood place in the desert. Service and ambiance were good.

We stopped for dinner after getting engaged! Our server was super nice. It was very busy but the staff kept it moving. They gave us a free key lime pie! I can't wait to come back with a bigger appetite next time.

Food, once again, fantastic. Service, lackluster. Ephemeral. Fleeting. Fugacious. Ambiance, once it gets busy this place gets fairly loud, definitely boiterous. Lots of energy in this place. Behind the counter it can be somewhat of a show. A few of the sous chefs are chatty-with each other, with the customers, and they always looks to be kept busy. Tip jars strategically placed. Aromas of ocean water and something wonderful cooking. Our entrees have always been more than enough for me with plenty to share. The Crab Garlic Cheese Bread isn't high on my list to order again. Not very cheesy, where's the crab, and how about a tad more marinara. I'd suggest you just go with the sourdough loaf instead. Calamari - good Oysters - Yes, please Edemame - good Shrimp cocktail - good Ceviche - good Cocktails that have gotten the thumbs up: Wicked Strawberry Spicy Peach New Fashion Rico Guave Pretty Paloma And of course the Dauo Cabernet - YUM. Entrées worth devouring include the Sea Bass, Scallops, Shrimp & Chips, Herb Crusted Corvina Sea Bass, Lobster, Herb Crusted New Zealand Glory Bay Salmon, and any of the steampot options. Come for the food, enjoy the energy that flows in this place, linger and enjoy some dessert or a glass of port.

Pan seared scallops. Tasty, but served cold

First visit was a birthday celebration. The booths are nice, not too loud, and away from the bar noise. We had 1/2 order of the lobster Mac and cheese, and the seafood pan roast. The lobster Mac and cheese was excellent, nice crust, delicious. The seafood pan roast was top notch, except it looked like the meat had been scooped from the lobster tail, and only 1/2 put back in. We enjoyed the rest of the pan roast, and it had a large lobster claw, but for $189, we were very disappointed in the amount of meat in the lobster tail. Second visit, we had the spicy seafood pasta, and the pan seared scallops. Both dishes were nicely presented, but both arrived at our table cold. We returned them to be reheated, and the management kindly comped us a dessert for our trouble, but that was two strikes in two visits. We'll go elsewhere next time.

This place is awesome! We opted to sit at the bar to watch them make all of the steam pots...and they made a lot! We went a little crazy and ordered 4 different entrees to try along with the clam chowder ( the lobster bisque looked amazing as well). We had a shrimp scampi steam pot, a double pork chop with a bourbon cherry mustard sauce, the buttermilk fried chicken,, and the seared ahi tuna. All were absolutely wonderful! The staff couldn't have been nicer! We have enough leftovers for another night and I can't wait to enjoy them another night! Drinks were on point as well!

Once we arrived, we didn't know where the entrance was, but there was this blue heron cover over a single door so we went inside and turns out it was an exit. But once we got in, the bartender said we can sit anywhere so we sat in booth all the way in in a corner. Greeted by a man in a beard by the bar who said, "Finally ladies. Where have you been?" I went with my bestie and her bf. And her bf ended up chatting with the guy at the bar while my bestie and I sat down. Anyway, as we got seated, we were handed a menu (food and cocktails). We received water after we ordered our own drinks. My friend and I got the same thing. It had like lychee and lemon in it while her bf had this pornstar drink. The only name that I recall from the cocktails side of the menu lol. After deciding what to get from the main course, we were ready to eat. We waited and waited and waited some more but no one came back to check up on us. We were there about an hr, having a good time chatting of course, can't ruin my birthday but also we were very hungry. So my friend's bf got up the table, went to the bar and asked for the check. He was going to pay but I said it's on me. I left no tip with bad customer service as no one came back to us. I guess it pays to be at the bar and all the outside seating. Really wanted to try the food. Very disappointing. Sorry.

Of course, this place is known for its cocktails, so naturally they should be great--but trust me, I've been to several cocktail-only establishments that were lackluster. Absolutely NOT the case here. You could literally put all the pages of the menu on a wall, throw a dart, and whatever you hit would be delicious and interesting in its own right. The place is a little small, but honestly, that's what I love about it. It feels cozy in all the right ways. It's also very relaxing, floating along the sea with some delightful surprises here and there. We ordered several drinks, but one that's not on the menu (and they do make it) is the Pearl Diver, which is magnificent here. The mixologists and servers are all amazing and should be proud of themselves for bringing such an experience to Gilbert.

We were waiting for dinner at Buck and Rider and went next-door to see if we could get a drink while waiting. The host greeted us nicely and said that as long as we could be gone within 45 minutes that they would love to welcome us in since they had other reservations, but that worked out perfect because like I said we were waiting for our table next-door anyway. It is small but decorated beautifully thankfully there are no steps because it is dark and you kind of feel a little lost as you're walking through but the ambience is very cool. It feels like just tropical and lush all around you. We were seated at a two top along the wall, which seemed like a small space however, it had a really cool cut out window with a moving landscape of water and an island that through the course of the time as we were sitting there, changed to a storm and then cleared it up again it was just really beautiful visually and didn't feel so closed in. The menu was a large variety of cocktails obviously you need to like rum and bourbon and all of the things that pirates and island feels give. Our server made some suggestions. We ordered two different drink drinks. The first was the macadamia nut piña colada I think we are expecting a little more coconut flavor to this drink however, it was very delicious. Definitely strong. The other was actually our server suggestion that had peaked my interest because it had guava in it and that was called off the grid. It was delicious. It was perfectly balanced with sweet and sour lemon, pineapple guava with bourbon and other flavors. On our way out, I did hit the restroom. They have two neutral bathrooms. It was large. It was very clean, decorated beautifully like the rest of the restaurant. All in all a great way to start the night.

But a friend wanted to meet for food around the area and this spit popped up on Yelp. It didn't disappoint! I was skeptical at first as having a sign posted at the sidewalk and a bouncer outside the stairs going down, was a sheer sign that this isn't such a secret and speakeasy-like spot. But I was proven wrong very quickly. Dre who was the bouncer and I'd much rather call Drayden, is young but friendly. The hall leading down to the entrance was well decorated. It's hard to miss the door when you can hear people on the other side :). Hostess was nice. Alex immediately introduced himself from behind the bar as I sat down, and Meagan was the main bartender this night. They were both a wealth of knowledge when it came to cocktails. This time was checking…read moreout a speakeasy located in the heart of downtown Gilbert on a Friday evening at 9 p.m. I parked for free on the street before making my way to The White Rabbit. There are some things I really love about The White Rabbit and some that I didn't. Ambiance (3/5): When I think of a speakeasy, I think intimate. The White Rabbit is not that. It's pretty large for a speakeasy with a large bar and a good number of tables/booths. They weren't at capacity while I was there, but there were a good number of people there. Which made it pretty loud. To the point where you have to yell at your bartender when ordering your drink so they can hear you. Perhaps a much different experience on a week day. Getting in the speakeasy was both a hit and a miss. If you're subscribed to their email list, as I am, you get a different password every month. I was excited about this. Upon approaching The White Rabbit, I saw a sign naming the establishment and pointing me in the right direction. This takes away from the spirit of speakeasies which are supposed to be truly hidden without any signage identifying the restaurant. You'll see a velvet rope blocking a stairwell where you tell one of the bouncers the password. I had a reservation. If you don't know the password, as another party there didn't, they ask you to access a QR code to find out or ask others who are waiting. I appreciated the dedication to the cause. Once you get in, you walk down the stairwell, and then enter a cool hallway decked out with Prohibition-style decor. That leads you into the main room. The main room is also Prohibition-style though a bit unremarkable. The bathrooms are clean and also feature some cool paintings (and they also hide that they are actual bathrooms). With that being said, when I liked the hallway and the bathrooms better than the bar itself, that's a bit of an issue. Seats at the bar are bar stools without back support. Never fun for my old man back. I did, on the other hand, appreciate that they have free WiFi. Service (3.5/5): The service was generally pretty good, though a bit slow. They start you off with some water without asking you which is always a nice touch. It was just one of those situations where you have to put some effort into getting a bartender's attention on several occasions. Food (N/A): I had dinner prior so no food for me. I did check out the menu. They have a small selection of appetizers, flatbreads, and desserts. Drinks (3/5): When I'm at a speakeasy, I'm looking for creativity and an interesting blend of ingredients and flavors. While The White Rabbit has a good number of cocktails, many of them didn't attract me. Part of it is a matter of personal preference. There were only two drinks out of about 20 that I was interested in. Overall, I wanted a little more, but with that being said, the drinks were reasonably priced for a speakeasy. Not a bad speakeasy by any means, I have super high standards when it comes to these watering holes. Just not in my top five when it comes to speakeasies in Phoenix and surrounding areas.

I was instantly tickled pink, literally, by the nostalgic feel of the elegant concoction, topped with artfully designed egg white foam and served in a vintage-style champagne glass. What a beauty of a drink with a touch of class and sophistication! Almost made me want to throw on a flapper dress and dance the Charleston...until I realized the need to balance from the powerful punch in the serious drink. Fancy, stiff cocktails served at THE BRICKYARD DOWNTWON fo shizz. No complaints about that here! It's been a while since I visited Arizona. Maybe it's time to return. If/when I do, I will mos def drop by THE BRICKYARD DOWNTOWN again!

At the end of the evening, they also brought out their delicious macarons as a birthday gift. Such thoughtful touches. Our server was polished, warm, knowledgeable, and completely on top of everything. I started with a sampling of oysters, and each one was superb. My friend, who is not a seafood person, ordered the NY strip, and it was excellent: well seasoned and cooked perfectly. I had the soft-shell crab roll as a smaller main course. It arrived noticeably after my friend's steak, but the restaurant handled it beautifully. They comped it without us asking, and the manager came over to chat with us. He was delightful and circled back again at the end of the evening. Between the beautiful patio, excellent food, and genuinely friendly staff, Buck & Rider made my birthday dinner feel special. We had a fantastic evening.

Tasted like it was frozen before and cooked too quick. I have had a steak at Black Angus that was much better and a quarter of the price. Service was friendly and flowing. Nice to finally go to a restaurant where the server isn't rushing you like most Arizona restaurants do. Would be nice if the desserts were listed rather than severs spouting them off. I could sense that the servers were tired of repeating the "spiel". That falls on management. I empathize for the servers in being in the industry as a sever and owner for over20 plus years. Overall .... Excellent!!!
