Very satisfied with what was done to my printer and macbook. It is my 2nd time coming to Hi-Tek & Edgar did a great job. He managed to hook up my HP Color Laserjet 1600 to my Macbook Air, even when it said it wasn't compatible. Love how he has a much closer location to me than before. read more

I was looking for a place to fix my sons cracked screen on his ipad mini for a reasonable price. Called a couple places and this place had the best price by far. They were very professional and courteous. They informed me from the beginning that they didn't have white screens at the moment only black. That if I wanted I could wait 2 days until they received the white screens which was the kind my ipad needed. I didn't care to much about the color. I just wanted it fixed so I asked them if they could just put on a black one. They were happy to do so. I'm glad they didn't force me to make that decision. I highly recommend these guys. They're great. read more

Fixed my computer and saved my pics. Price is reasonable. My computer had some viruses and I couldn't do anything on it.

Great customer service! Prices are good and they know what they are doing. I got a reboot and they even included a few extra things with it. Plus, they helped back up and transfer all my files ! Would definitely recommend. read more

Good service and decent price! Came back again for my second lap top! Glad to come again.

I reviewed a few places in Downey for computer repair. I looked into Hi-Tek and saw several positive reviews so i went in to talk with Andy and Edgar. Very professional and knowledgable about computers. I highly recommend Hi-Tek Solutions if you ever have any issues with your computer. I also recommend them for helping me after the job was done. Andy did a remote session from my house to help me out with problems i was having with my internet, unrelated to the repair job that i went in for. Outstanding customer service. read more

My son was loaned a laptop through his school and the parents are supposed to pay for the insurance but my son had an accident with the laptop and cracked the whole screen before I was able to pay for the insurance... I was pretty upset of having to pay for $400 when I knew it was no more than a $200 laptop and I thought why not try to get it fix? instead. So I went ahead and looked on Yelp and decided to give Hi-Tek Solutions a try and it was the best decision I could have made because they not only repaired my sons loaner laptop at a reasonable price but they have also now fixed all the problems on my laptop that I have been having issues with. I had been having issues with my laptop off and on for a while now and had been back and forth with the Geek Squad at Best Buy (that is where I initially purchased it so thought they would be the best people to fix it) but all they did was hold it for a month at a time each time I took it, never really explained the issue, returned it with problems it didn't have before, over charge me and only so that it can crash a few days after I picked it up. I got so fed up and said let me try Hi-Tek Solutions again and once again they did a great job. I mentioned to Edgar that I just needed to know if it was worth salvaging and if not I would just purchase another one; they were able to fix it. Save your time, money, and energy and just stick to these guy's. They have a loyal customer. read more

I found Hi-Tek/ Edgar on Yelp for help with some PC problems i was having with some old equipment i was wanting to put put of service. I was hesitant to believe everything i read, but after my encounter with Edgar, i completely agree with all the positive reviews i read on Yelp. I went to see Edgar a few months ago for help in 1) pulling data off a very old tower and for 2) problems with a laptop screen that was going white. Edgar was very professional at our first meeting. He actively listened to my problem explanations and then quickly figured out the options for addressing problems. He quickly called me with options/variable pricing to address each problem. The pricing was very fair and extremely competitive compared to other equivalent vendors. I highly recommend Hi-Tek for any home related PC data problems. You will be pleasantly surprised with the excellent customer service Hi-Tek will provide. read more

Took my liquid damaged Macbook Air to Hi-Tek Solutions for the first time, and I must say it was a great experience. Initially, I spoke with Andy and he was very thorough in explaining what the process was going to be like and was also very patient when I had a lot of questions. During the diagnostics, Sergio kept me updated on what was going on and was also very nice. Overall, they fixed my Macbook Air within a reasonable time frame and the cost was very efficient compared to other places. I highly recommend this place to anyone with computer/laptop problems, this will now be my go to place whenever I have problems with mine's. Thanks Again Hi-Tek Solutions! read more

Just had these guys build me a brand new work station as it was time to update my hardware. Although I use technology all day, I'm not an electronics techie, so they were the perfect fit to build a computer for my demanding needs. They repaired a screen problem on my laptop. Their prices are fair and the employees are courteous. Only three stars because it took longer to get the computer back than promised. I had to initiate several calls to get the diagnosis and the estimate, and to pin them down on a pick up time. I felt they were pushing me aside to buy themselves more time cause they were focused on other customers. read more

Provided the right service and my products work now; would recommend for their prices!

I finally found an affordable/legitimate place. They are quick and the prices are great. I like that they have a free diagnosis. I was in a rush so they did an express diagnosis for a small fee which I did not mind at all. They communicate with you throughout the process. They extend discounts to students and school staff members. Will definitely be going back. read more

By far and away one of the best businesses in Downey. They gave me almost daily updates on my son's laptop and were significantly less expensive than the big box techs. Best place ever, they send me a quote less than 24 hours and fix my Mac Book Pro in 2 days good price. Really recommend this place.

I had inadvertently filled up the storage on my computer when an updated MAC OS installed overnight. My computer was totally out of commission. After failing to get an appointment within a week at several Apple stores (Apple said they don't have many MacBook Pro techs, thanks Apple), I called Hi-Tek solutions and they actually listened to my issue and talked me through the options. I brought the computer in that day and left it with the team overnight for a diagnosis ($27 I think). The next morning I got a friendly call from them suggesting it was something I could fix on my own and save money, simply by wiping my drive and starting from scratch, since I had a recent backup. When I went to pick up my computer, it was immaculately detailed, looked brand new. Hats off to these guys for not trying to charge me money for something I could do on my own with a bit of guidance. read more

Very help full and knowledgeable, were able to save my computer at an affordable price and although I waited a little extra to get a battery shipped in because of the holiday season and shipping a wrong battery, they communicated effectively and kept me updated on my computer. Edgar and Josh were very friendly and helpful. I was having issues with my computer and couldn't get it to start after a blue screen of death. They were able to identify the problem and fix it for me within a couple days. They do free diagnostic so it came out to be much cheaper than other places. Not only that but Edgar ordered a cable for me at a discounted rate. My one complaint is that their office can be a little hard to find as they share a unit with another business. That said I highly recommend anyone having computer issues go here. I'll definitely be back if I have any future problems. read more
