I don't like to judge a book by its cover, but this business owner is severely disorganized and lazy. Charged $95 for a diagnostic, which concluded at "your video card fans stopped working." Yeah, I can see that too. He wanted to charge $120 to clean it and see which graphics cards were compatible, since I turned down his offer on his incredibly overpriced refurbished model (selling to me $600 when online new is under $300). If I hadn't come in person, who knows how much longer than 7 days this would have taken. He let me know that parts needed to ordered and specified a timeline of how he would start working on my laptop. Okay, i have been wanting to write a review. So I went in the store because I wanted to add a keyboard to my father's Dell. First , off I was a new customer and he was cursing in front of me. If you have been in business for 17 years then you know the first impression is crucial. He told me that it would cost me $70 with parts and labor. I was like that coo because that what some other person told me he would charge prior to comming there. He installed it and charged me $90 because he told me that the quote was $70 if I were to get my other computer diagnosis. Sir, please be upfront and clear about things before you give out prices. Omitting business practices is not how things are handled. I did not want to argue in front of him. I paid and you think I went back ? No! Just be cautious because this gentlemen will try to hussle you. For the record, if you are going to be a hustlers be creative, integrate and don't try to get your way of payment by not disclosing things upfront. You should take an ethics class. Let me start by saying that i never write reviews but i just had to for this particular business. ive been holding off this review for some time now seeing as this man might still have access to my personal information and i actually wouldnt be surprised if he used it against me in some way as a form of revenge. I took my non-working computer to him so he could extract my information so i could transfer it to my new one. Right off the bat he was extremely unprofessional. We chatted outside for a bit, while we were doing that a good looking lady walked by in front of us and he so casually made a sexual remark about her as if we were buddies. What pissed me off was that he said it in front of my 5 year old daughter. I had just met this man 2 minutes prior to that. I left my computer with him and he made me wait weeks for a job that shouldve taken 30 mins. Then he had the nerve to charge me extra because it took him "weeks" to fix. As if i didnt know he was just being lazy. This man actually tried to charge me extra for his laziness. Unbelievable. I called him everyday and everyday he said he would get around to it "tomorrow." One of the last phone calls that i had with him he tried to get me to buy a 500 gb external hardrive from him for $130. I said no because i could easily go to best buy and buy one for 80 dollars with twice the memory. He said that i didnt have a choice because he had already plugged-in the harddrive to the computer and that the information was transferring as we spoke. I mean really?? I said to unplug it but he refused because he said the computer might not turn on right after because of the wiring issues within it. Complete BS of course. I became extremely irritated and told him he cant do that to his customers. His response was the worst response ive ever received from someone. He said if i didnt buy the hardrive he was going to delete all my information on my computer on purpose and hung up on me. I felt a bit scared because I had personal information in there and i was scared he would use it if i didnt buy his item so i called back and agreed. He apologized but the damage was done. I knew what kind of person he was. So i show up to pick up my stuff a few days later and hes NOT READY WITH MY STUFF. HE HADNT EVEN STARTED. I had to sit there and wait for him to dig up my computer from under a pile of laptops. He hadnt even touched my computer since the day i dropped it off. I know this because it was in the exact same position he left it in the day i dropped it off. He proceeded to work on it while i waited for like 2 hours. He hooked up the harddrive and started transferring information. I stopped him and said, "im not buying that harddrive. You lied and said u had the hardrive hooked up while we were on the phone and said u couldnt disconnect it because the computer might not start again after. Its obvious that you are just now connecting it for the first time." He got mad and again threatened to delete my stuff, this time he said it indirectly. At the end of the day i agreed to buy his 5 year old hardrive which only lasted me a month for $130. What a rip off. I just felt my information was well woth it. Im a music producer and had a ton of unfinished projects on there that i needed. He might reply in the most professional way on here but dont be fooled. He might give me the whole "i ran you through my system and i havent had a customer with your name." This was by far the most horrible experience ive ever had when it comes to computers. Its too bad this mans knowledge doesnt make up for his lack of professionalism and character. I cant stress this enough, STAY AWAY FROM HIM. read more
