1) This place has a little strategy where they make the front store small so people have to wait outside to make it look like they are busy. They fooled me. 2) The wait time here is way too long. Waited 30 plus mins for 2 drinks. Very unorganized and unprofessional. 3) Too expensive for some drinks that's not even good. This was my first time trying this place. Been hearing about this establishment from my friends that tried it overseas so I was excited to try it. I ended up getting the Cheese Grape Boom tea and Cheese Yumberry tea. I enjoyed the grape tea the most out of my 2 orders. Mainly because it tasted fresh and didn't have the artificial syrup flavor. The saltiness of the cheese complimented the sweetness of the grape. I'd definitely get this again. As for the Yumberry tea, I thought it was just alright. I'm not really sure what the fruit is supposed to taste like but it reminded me of tart blue berries. I'd like to go back and try their other teas next time. Possibly the Coconut Mango Boom and Mulberry Boom drinks. I'm kind of sad that Yi Fang is gone but this place seems like a good replacement if you're in the mood for legit fruit teas. read more

First time trying Hey Tea and it was a very pleasant experience. Their tea mixologist said to try Mango Coconut and the Grape Boom. I loved the Mango Coconut Boom, light tea taste and plenty of yummy mango bits. I gave the Grape Boom to my co-worker since I couldn't possibly down 2 large sized drinks on my own. Kind service despite the long line. I arrived 20 minutes before store opened and there was a line already. I stood in line at 10:40am, ordered at 11:15am and got my order at 12:10pm. I ordered a total of 5 drinks. The first 100 customers to order and write a review on Google maps receive a free Heytea collectible magnet - LA edition. This latest time we waited for at least 15 min in line before an employee came up to tell the entire line of 8 people that we have to order from the kiosk. OMG! People were pissed and rightfully so. Even there were a lot of orders, they still patiently answered my question about their collaboration event. How did the pace of the service downgrade? I ordered online way ahead and gave me a 16-20 mins length time which was perfect. But I waited 40 mins before I made a refund. Time frame was stuck at "9" mins for so long. Employees are rude too, she was one of the ones calling out the drinks but when I was about to ask her about my drink update she didn't even let me speak. So I had move on and talk to another employee, and at least she was mindful and was listening to me. It used to be so fast during their grand opening era, now they are just too slow. I have ordered ahead of time before and it came out exactly at the time promise or even 3-5 mins after but seeing the time frame being 20 mins and actual wait time being 40+ mins is ridiculous. I've visited HeyTea multiple times in their flagship U.S. location in New York City and am a huge fan. I wanted to try this one out when I heard they were opening it and gave it a shot today. Personally I ordered the Bobo Milk Tea and it was decent. The boba texture was nice and chewy and had a nice caramelized brown sugar flavor. The milk tea could use a little more sweetness. Overall it wasn't bad but it felt like something was missing compared to what I've had in New York. I also tried the Brown Sugar Bobo Milk Tea and thought it was bland, even more than the regular Bobo Milk Tea. There wasn't much tea flavor even though "Milk Tea" is in the name. The service was quick, despite the long line. The line went down the building but only took about 10 minutes till I was able to take my order. The drinks were quick too, coming out within less than 5 minutes of ordering. I think they could use that time for more quality control though. There's only a bit of seating for waiting, so it's definitely not a place to chill. I don't really mind since it's a boba shop and many are just order and go. Overall, I'm excited for what HeyTea has to offer with their expansion into California and hope the quality improves with time. read more

Stopped into Hey Tea around 2pm on a Thursday. I've been seeing the long lines in the evenings. so I was hoping to beat the wait by coming in the middle of a workday. It's a small shop and there were about 10 people waiting for their drinks in the crowded space. I was able to order right away which was great, but I waited about 20 minutes for my 2 drinks. I noticed that there were quite a few employees working hard in the back, so I was surprised for such a lengthy wait. I enjoyed the Brown Sugar Milk Tea with boba 50% sweet. I had high hopes for this spot because of all the hype! The cup is very cute, but the drink was unfortunately just okay. The milk tea was decent but not very tea-centered, more on the milky side. The boba was sweet and had good texture, but there wasn't much of it. I don't see myself returning to Hey Tea soon. The drinks weren't bad but they weren't good enough to stand the wait. read more

it's hard to write a full review but i want to put something here first, the drinks i got were great at 50% sweet and less ice. service was swift and worked as fast as they could considering the intense demand of a bogo deal for opening. the store is small but it feels bigger than it is inside. the windows let in a lot of natural light but the store also heats up quite quickly if you stand in the sun. i got the grape cheese boom and i liked it a lot, more than the yumberry cheese boom. both were pretty good though. next time, i'll try the teas. UPDATE: i came back the next day for more: i tried the mango grapefruit boom, which was delicious. i wouldn't normally try those two fruits together but it went well together considering the odd pairing. but i was very surprised by the freshness of the fruit flavors and the soothing tea-aftertaste. their fruit freshness is so good and the natural sweetness is refreshing. read more

Waited 30 minutes to get our drink just to found out the grape boom was melted (it's supposed to be a slushy) and the boba in the boba milk tea was all stuck together and has become a big cluster which we can not get from the straw at all. We went back to ask for a replacement for the boba milk tea. After waiting for 10 minutes, I checked with the cashier and found out that they haven't started making it.
