My sister and I went to the grand opening yesterday and ended up waiting just over 3 hours in line for the drinks as there was a BOGO promotion. The staff was super nice, offering waters and freebies while we were in line and the drinks were made fairly quickly after we ordered. Parking was busy but fine as the location is in the same spot as Yifang used to be. For the drinks themselves, my favorite was the Coconut Mango Boom followed by the Strawberry Peach Boom. We also ordered the Cheese Yumberry Boom, the Supreme Brown Sugar boba milk tea, the Brown Sugar boba milk tea, and a Boba milk tea. Overall I though the fruit drinks were pretty good but wasn't a huge fan of any of the milk tea drinks. Boba texture was slightly on the chewier side but good. I love HEY TEA!! I went today on the 11th of July and didn't even realize they were giving BOGO for their new triple matcha! The lines was super long and I think I waited around 20-25 mins. Parking was easy since it's in a big plaza but it does get crowded. The service was decent, they take your order, give you your receipt with your number on it and there's a screen inside telling you when your drinks will be ready using the number on your receipt. The Coconut Mango Bloom is genuinely one of my favorite drinks of all time. It being natural and using no artificial flavors is a great point for me too :)) A TOTAL 10/10!!!! Very busy boba shop but the employees are SO FAST. The limiting factor is definitely the customers trying to figure out what they want to order at the kiosk. Every time I have been here, they were not taking in person orders. I highly recommend downloading the app and ordering there. You'll get a coupon too. They have a generous policy of remaking the drinks until it's to your liking. We got the supreme brown sugar bobo milk tea and mango grapefruit boom. The brown sugar tasted really good. I really wanted to like the mango grapefruit boom especially with all of the positive reviews, but I would not order it again. For that price point, I want to love the drink. It tasted okay. I didn't want to ask the staff to make it again because there was nothing wrong with the quality, I think I just didn't like the flavor profile, it was also more watery and I was hoping it would've been a more slushy consistency. I actually like the blue flavor, but it was overpowering and took away from the coconut and mango. I wish the drink had more balance stronger coconut and mango with just a hint of the blue . My husband ordered the Brown Sugar, and it was extremely sweet, even for a brown sugar drink. As for the shop itself, it was very fast-paced and more of a grab and go spot since there's no seating. The floor was also a bit dirty that day, but it was raining, so that might've been why. Overall, it wasn't terrible, but it wasn't impressive either. I had a really frustrating experience at Heytea. I ordered 4 drinks, but they only gave me one bag that could barely hold 2 drinks. I was by myself -- how does the business expect one person to carry a bag plus two drinks in their hands at the same time? That's just unrealistic and honestly kind of ridiculous. When I asked for a second bag, the staff refused and said they were "reserving" bags. This doesn't make any sense -- if I had placed two separate orders of 2 drinks each, they would have given me 2 bags anyway. So why make it difficult for customers ordering multiple drinks at once? Every time we drive past by HeyTea ever since grand opening a few months ago, we always saw a line, so we decided to wait for the hype to die down a bit before trying. My sister and I came on a Friday night around almost 8pm, which there were still some people waiting for their drinks. Thankfully we didn't have to wait because we placed a mobile order on their app beforehand so once we told the staff our order number we quickly got our drinks that were already on their cart. We ordered the mango grapefruit boom (what I got), crisp grape boom, and the supreme matcha latte. The interior is nice and minimalistic. The mango grapefruit boom was pretty good, I liked the toppings at the bottom, though I mostly tasted sago and not much of the coconut milk jelly. The mango smoothie itself was fresh and had a good sweetness to it that paired well with the coconut milk. However, I'm not sure if it was because I got it through mobile ordering or not enough ice was blended, but it wasn't slushy enough. It tasted mostly like just juice to me. On the other hand, the crisp grape boom had a good slush consistency so maybe it was the ice. I liked the tiny bits of real grape at the bottom so it was pretty easy to sip it. Both smoothies were good, but I definitely prefer the mango and I can see why it's popular despite mine not being exactly a smoothie. The supreme matcha latte was alright, I can tell it was good quality and it was creamy, but for me it might have needed a bit more milk since it had a slightly bitter aftertaste. Overall, I am hesitant to say it was worth the hype, but I did enjoy finally trying it and didn't have to wait. Not sure when I would come back again, but I definitely am curious about their other smoothies like the yumberry or mulberry strawberry. Heytea took over the spot where Yifang used to be, and to say we were devastated when Yifang closed is an understatement. After reading some of the mediocre reviews, my husband and I were expecting to be sorely disappointed with the drinks here, but we were pleasantly surprised at how delicious and fresh all the drinks have been! Heytea is definitely one of our favorite drink places now and we are beyond OBSESSED! Between the two of us, we've tried the mango grapefruit boom (my husband's favorite), strawberry boom (my favorite), grapefruit boom, grape boom, passion fruit blast, and coco water jasmine (their current collab with vita coco). I didn't think it would be possible to top Yifang's mango pomelo sago, but this place does such a good job and the quality is more consistent compared to Yifang. I love the strawberry because it's just SO light and refreshing, and it tastes so fresh and not artificial. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the fruit booms! All their drinks are perfectly sweetened and refreshing. The drinks are amazing, but more than half the times we've been here, picking up our drinks has been super chaotic and disorganized (which I think a lot of Yelpers have docked them stars for). From what we've observed, the drinks are actually made super quickly, but the workers let the drinks start piling up and don't seem to have an efficient way to distributing them. Definitely keep an eye for your drinks because you may have to ask for them, lol. I also highly recommend using the app to order your drinks too, because the interior of the store is pretty small and can get pretty cramped and busy inside. If fruity drinks are your jam, definitely give this spot a try! read more
