It's been a while since we've been here, and I'm happy to say--nothing has changed (in the best way)! The food is still amazing, and the customer service is just as great as I remember. We were pleasantly surprised to see they expanded the space--more seating and less wait time, which is always a win. Everything was fresh, the place was clean, and the whole experience was smooth from start to finish. Great place for breakfast! If you're on this side of town, definitely a solid spot to grab a bite!

Enjoyed breakfast here today with my friends and had a fabulous server. She took great care of us!! I of course had to order the famous lemon blueberry pancake which was just as good as I remember!! It did not disappoint!!

This was our first time visiting Henhouse Cafe and we had a wonderful experience. The food was absolutely amazing and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The service was excellent and everyone was very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be coming back again!

Love Henhouse Cafe! Every time we are in AZ we weave it into our dining plans. Amazing food options that all taste delicious. It's always a difficult decision to make, but I'm never dissatisfied with my selection. If you've never had their biscuits then you are missing out. The service is always exceptional. They just expanded the dining room, which was needed because this place is a popular spot. This is definitely our favorite breakfast restaurant in the area.

Let's start with the positives... This location has expanded and added a second bathroom so that was good, the amount of space here is nice, they have a little shopping section with farmhouse style decor much is cute. The waitress was super nice and very apologetic because of how many times she had to tell me no or they don't carry that lol The drinks choice is the bare minimum. I asked if the orange juice was served in a large glass, for almost $5 I want more than two gulps of orange juice. I was told no they are only served in small glasses (I saw the glass it's roughly 6oz) that's just not enough FOR ME. I understand that oj is expensive and I'd be happy to pay $8 for a large glass but that wasn't an option. I then requested a root beer... they didn't carry that "only coke products" she said so I asked about sweet tea and the waitress winced as she said we have black tea and you can add sugar. To this I said okay so that's what I got. It was extremely bitter and I believe I added at least ten packets of sugar I did ask if they carry simple syrup because they advertise that they have a coffee bar so I thought they might carry that for the coffees but they didn't not have that either. Next the food. I ordered the veggie skillet, the veggies were lightly cooked, not delivered on a skillet and still were pretty crunchy so not really skillet style (in my opinion) I asked about substitution options for the toast, I got a pancake instead of toast. The pancake was really dry and not very fluffy at all, it was HUGE though, it was as big as the dinner plate they served it on with a comical amount of syrup I believe they gave me a 2oz cup of syrup for a giant pancake! (As pictured) (originally after placing my order I was told that they ran out of pancake batter and if I wanted French toast instead but about three minutes later they ended up finding more pancake batter and just made me the pancake) We were seated right away so that's another plus but I just won't be coming here again

The food was really good, but the service felt rushed. Our waitress kept trying to clear our plates before we were even finished. At one point, my friend still had a fork in her hand, and the waitress reached for it until my friend said she was still using it - pretty rude. The food itself was great, though. I had the Grandpa Skillet, which was delicious, and my friends enjoyed the Texas Benedict, Strawberry cheesecake french toast, and the Green Chile Skillet. We just wish we hadn't felt so rushed. We were also there when there were so many available tables, so I dont know why they were rushing us out and we spent less than an hour there because our plates were forcefully taken away.

7/19/25: it's been three months since we visited this location (shame on me for taking so long to write this) but although I forgot what my sister ordered, I know I ate the delicious lemon mascarpone pancake. I remember our server being super friendly & attentive, the place was very clean & uncluttered, and they had a shopping area inside (think Cracker Barrel, but less "crap", more high-end items). :-) If you want a hearty, hot breakfast, Henhouse Cafe is an excellent choice.

Referred to by a friend, this place was decently packed, but no wait time. The waitresses were all very polite and attentive. We were debating chicken fried chicken, biscuits and gravy and the coconut creampie french toast... we got the chicken fried chicken with a biscuit, and the French toast. The biscuit was massive and so fluffy!! Their biscuits are amazing! The French toast was perfect, syrup to the side, not too much coconut cream.. and the cappuccino.. my gosh!! The food and drinks here were heavenly!! Best brunch I've had in a long time! I really look forward to trying this place again, highly recommend!!

Megan was amazing and brought out our food within minutes of us ordering. She immediately asked us what we would like to order and was super patient with us. If you go to the Henhouse cafe ask to seat with her!

We went to Henhouse yesterday for breakfast and had an amazing experience! Our server, I really wish I remembered her name, was fantastic! We ordered a kids meal w bacon, scrambled eggs, and a pancake; the chicken fried steak; the biscuit, egg, bacon, and potatoes meal (forget name), and I had the machaca skillet. The server recommended I try the skillet with a side of the green chili sauce and I'm so glad I did!! Delicious! The pancake was HUGE, my husband said the biscuit that came w his chicken fried steak was the star of the show, and that the meal itself was the best he had had in a very long time! The restaurant is cute, with a little store in the lobby. Definitely recommend - sorry the pics are half eaten, by the time I remembered it was too late! Haha!

Parking 5/5 Always a challenge but coming early and doing the circle dance landed us a nice space across from the Liberty Market. Atmosphere 5/5 Such a cool restaurant with allot of history dating back to 1935/1958/2008/2022 which reflects the years of the establishments service and architecture evolutions. Always a great vibe here! Service 10/5 Our experience tonight began with the beautiful and friendly hostess Bailey. She greeted us with a warm smile and asked us what our seating presence was. We grabbed a booth overlooking Page street and the foot traffic outside. Our server tonight was Treven who joined us table side. He had our drink and starters in quickly. My wife ordered the Lucky Penny Latte and I had iced tea. Starter was their out of this world Burrata. The photos fall short of its glory. Entrees was their memorable minestrone soup, and I ordered their sesame ginger noodle salad featuring sweet potato glass noodles which are delicious and a host of smartly paired vegetables, chicken and a pleasant ginger sriracha delivering some spice and heat without overpowering the dish itself. For desert we fell way off the wagon with their in-house carrot cake. A slice easily feeds four and we enjoyed ours with espressos. Dinner was excellent from the service to the scratch kitchen food, and expressos, Magnifico! $125.00 with tip and leftovers too. Date night my friends-SYOY!

A bunch of us from my spin class decided to get together on a Sunday for brunch and here's what I munched: Grande Chicken TInga Nachos ($18 - Shredded chicken tinga, queso, roasted tomato salsa, black beans, pico de gallo, roasted jalapeño, cilantro lime crema): Okay, maybe I don't recommend the nachos. While topped with a good amount of cheese on top, once congealed, any chip on the bottom that you pull out is just going to be a naked chip. They do top these chips off with a generous amount of toppings. Brunch Burger ($19 - Angus beef patty, sunny side egg, avocado, applewood smoked bacon, cheddar, sriracha aioli, hash brown patty, brioche bun, choice of fresh fruit or breakfast potatoes): I shared this burger and requested the kitchen to cut it for me which they did. Very thankful that they were okay with the request. The burger itself was decent. It was a little weird to eat as the tiny hash brown patty made the structural integrity funny but it's not a deal breaker. I will say that it needed more sauce or something. The burger was dry after a few bites. I also had my lunch with the most savory and spicy Bloody Mary. It was amazing and probably one of my favorite Bloody Marys in a long while.
