It was OKAYYYY. Crispy potato wedges are delicious but other than that nothing spectacular (but nothing bad either!) we all enjoyed our lunch and the patio seating was beautiful

I stopped by on Friday around 1 PM and the place was very quiet, with only about 4 other tables full. We sat outside on a nice patio. We got the ESB and Porter (both $6) and Salmon Skewers ($13). Service was friendly but a tad slow. The beers and food were both solid. The salmon skewers came with rice and a sweet and spicy sauce that we didn't like -- too much like cheap Chinese takeout sauce. I liked the simple, modern decor.

Stopped in for dinner while visiting friends. We had a reservation and we were seated quickly. I will say the entry way was very busy with those waiting for tables which might be frustrating for those who are seated nearby. We started with the goat cheese toast and Brussels. Both were delicious and shareable. I ordered the shaved ribeye and the Alabama white sauce was a perfect pairing. Big fan of the wedges versus fries that came with it. Good options for everyone on the menu but pricing could be high on some items compared to others.

My husband and I came to Hello Monty a few months ago when we were in town for a few days. We actually came twice during that trip. We enjoyed it so much that we recently took a day trip with some family who wanted to check it out! We had the opportunity to try Sunday brunch, which was a treat. Of course, we had to order crispy Brussels sprouts for the table. I had the brunch salmon, husband and sister had the sweet tea brined chicken sandwich and shared some of the huge biscuit, and my brother had the brunch burrito. Each of us more than enjoyed our meals, so the trip was definitely worth it! Our waiter was very attentive and the atmosphere was nice as always. We'll be back again!

My wife and I dined here on a weekend evening and had a reservation. It was 1/2 full when we arrived and around same when we'd exited around 8:00 or 8:30. Staff and service were great. Ambiance was solid. Some families with young kids around but noise wasn't an issue. We'd already been snacking as we went around town so we were really just focused on quality over quantity in terms of the food we'd ordered. We shared some crispy Brussels Sprouts and the pork chop entree. Both were great, and quantity was certainly not an issue with the sprouts. The pork chop had a really nice char to it but was bone-in and still very moist and delicious. Our first time visiting and will definitely go again.

Best receipt paper in town! Food is also amazing.... In house brew, mixers, and cocktails.

I want to start by saying that I have been going back-and-forth on this review for a while. At first glance, Hello Monty was everything my wife and I was looking for. I wanted to try something new that had everything we wanted in a restaurant and we came across this little gem just blocks away from where we were staying for the night. we enjoy craft beer, check. The service was fast and spot on, check. And as we did not sit inside, the evening was nice and the outdoor seating was comfortable, check. So right from the beginning everything was hitting the mark. When you're comfortable, the beer tastes good and the service is fast, It's hard not to enjoy where you're at. We ordered a few appetizers, the brussels sprouts, which are arguably some of the best I've ever had in Chattanooga, with the exception of one other place, and the shrimp skewers which in my opinion are extremely overpriced and is the only reason that I was debating on giving this review four stars instead of five. I believe that four pieces of shrimp on a skewer do not warrant $12. They certainly did not taste $12 worth. However, the Caesar salad, the salmon, the half chicken and the incredible beer made up for the one appetizer that I thought was slightly overpriced. I will also say that the waiter did try to warn me on the portion size of the shrimp skewers. Long story short, we will be going back drinking more beer eating more food and enjoying the atmosphere of Hello Monty.

It's one of those places that's consistently good and easy to keep coming back to. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable. They have a patio area that's not fully outside, but the windows open completely when the weather is nice which makes it feel really open and airy. I actually had my rehearsal dinner here, and the staff was absolutely amazing and so accommodating throughout the whole process. Food-wise, I love, love, love their Italian chopped salad. The dressing is so good and it's something I end up ordering every time. They also offer pizza by the slice, which I like because they always have specific slices available plus a rotating "home slice" each day, they're also pretty generous size wise. The slices are good, but ordering a full pizza is definitely better because it comes out fresh. Another thing I really like is the adult fried cheese appetizer, which is basically like a spicy pepperoni and cheese egg roll and it's really good. Parking is typical for downtown. There's street parking or a lot across the street. Most of it is paid parking except for nights and Sundays. Overall this is one of my go-to spots in Chattanooga and somewhere I always recommend when people ask where to eat downtown.

It was a little chilly, but not quite "Ohio" chilly so we sat ourselves outside with a couple of hazy IPA aka Juice Bombs from Sloop Brewery. This brew pub is sandwiched between brick buildings: Stacks, a burger pub, on the right and another commercial building on the left. Across the street is the Police, so be warned, and don't get too funky. We asked if they had food and said no but it was ok to get some take out and eat it at their table or order from Stacks (what we did) and they bring it to your table from next door. Even better. Stacks' mushroom burger and stack cheese burger were very good too. We washed those down with another set of local IPAs called Southeast by Tailgate Brewery in Nashville, TN, also very good. Some of the tables have heating lamps which would have been nice as it got chillier. Not ours. But no sweat. This place does occasionally make their own beer as well but it's primarily a brew pub which sells other beer and canned beer from all over. I'm glad we had a chance to come. Now for the drive home. Thankfully we are less than 2 hours away. Atlanta here we come!

Some times they're Johnny on the Spot and others, well, you have to hunt them down. The decor is nice and gives off good, high, but not too high class feel. The place is clean as well. Never tried it during the evening, but hope to add that to my review one day. If you're in the neighborhood, stop in. You could be a fan! Who knows?
