Did a birthday here for 22. First ones in the door. Service was fine at first but the ONE server quickly got overwhelmed. Dishes came out erratically and several meals were missed. We then attempted to pay out and the server took a full hour to get people their tabs. When confronted (after 50 min) we were told it was our fault for "moving around." Eventually they were unable to figure out everyones tab and put it on one. Servers blamed us throughout. Food was fine for those who got it. read more

One person in our party NEVER even got their food. To top it off when it came time to pay our check the server could not figure out how to split the checks up. The Paloma they make in house is not very good. I don't recommend it. The blistered tomato toast is amazing. I had the half chicken, which was good. It was not $25 dollars good. It is a bit expensive but over all the food was good. Service was good. It was our first time and the waitress had good recommendations on the beer and food. I have to say last night was the worst service I have ever endured at a restaurant. Here are all the issues we incurred: -Waited over 45 mins for our first round of drinks and to order our food. -Drink orders got switched (also when we got the bill we noticed the gin and vodka selections requested were instead swapped to be Tito's) -Shareable's, salads and Entrees all came out at once. Which came out another hour after ordering. (Note: we were outside with maybe 5-6 other tables and no one was seated inside) -Had to request water refills on numerous occasions and were never asked about ordering more drinks. -When it came time to get our bills we tried to explain how to break things up, but when our waitress came back... another 30 mins later everything was wrong and we resolved to just venmo eachother. She took our cards and once again another 30 mins passed before she came back with cards. Only to find that cards were charged with the wrong tabs. Which she then explained how she had accidentally dropped the cards and tried to figure it out on her own.. which unfortunately she got wrong again. To make things worse she never offered any apology and instead made awkward jokes. I can say most of us unfortunately will not be eat here again as we do not have 3+ hours to waste on a bad dinner. read more

After not being greeted into the restaurant, we were asked if we had a reservation. We did, and the request made on the reservation was not made. We had our 18 month old daughter with us and a highchair was not ready. The table they sat us at was in the middle of a booth section so our daughter could reach the table behind us making our meal and their meal a disaster. The sides lacked flavor and were not proportionate to the protein size. Our waters were not filled, not kept up with for the entirety of the meal. We were so disappointed and still hungry that we went to a different restaurant for an actual meal. We will never eat here again, not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Not a great experience. A real mixed bag. This place came highly recommended by a trusted friend. Our food took an hour to get. I watched it die under the heat lamps. You can watch the kitchen. My burger was past well done when I finally got it. Dry AF. My wife's salmon was tasty but she ran into several bones, and it was barely warm. That goes for the sides too. They were hard to eat. My sons both had chicken which was good. The drinks were good, but again, took too long to get. Our server was having a bad night I think. She didn't come to explain the wait until it was already 45 minutes in. Drinks had been finished long before and she didn't bother to ask us if we wanted another. This kind of experience seems par for the course anywhere these days. I'd recommend cooking at home rather than going out. $250 for these kind of dining experiences is hard to swallow. read more

I stopped in here for lunch. Definitely nice decor and appearance inside. Set myself at the bar the bartender was super friendly and he told me about some of the beer options. I got the oatmeal stout and it tasted absolutely amazing! For lunch I ordered the burger, The quality was fantastic the only odd thing is there is absolutely no sides with it so it's literally just a burger on a plate but all in all tasted really good and seem like a place I would return to. read more

We have been back several times because we have enjoyed our food so much! Plus they take reservations and have booths. We haven't found an entree we have loved, but we really enjoy the Caesar salad and appetizers. The berry limeade is yummy too. The service is always good, and we highly recommend. read more

Then there's the quality- the butchers cut steak is super low quality. everything is disguised in garlic it seems. then there's the service--- very, very slow- and unhelpful- and orders aren't rigby-this is based on 3-4 visits. Tried to sit inside on the last time and despite it being almost empty- "it was fully reserved" but was the same when we left- empty- tried to add a protein to a salad- they don't do that. the patio is what this place has going for it. read more

Stopped in for a late lunch yesterday on our way to Whitwell. Service was excellent. Food was great. Beer tasting - beer flight was good. We were a little disappointed we didn't get to try the mussels but they weren't up to par by the restaurant standard. So you can't hold that against them. Would I go back? This place is very modern with an excellent food selection and gravity fed beer barrels behind the bar. We spoke with the owner and he was a little disappointed that he could not get brewing in the brand new tanks you can see behind the glass. We didn't eat food here yet but with the amazing atmosphere and really warm welcome we will surely be back. The owner said he was shooting to have his first batch roll out on St. Patrick's Day 2022 we will try to be back for that. FYI be absolutely sure you pay for your parking across the street. Pretty sure the only good reviews of this place are from workers or owners. We had a birthday brunch planned for a larger group... which we had reserved. NEWS FLASH! 1. Prepare ...especially if you can't handle that with ONE server. 2. Be more respectful or apologetic when there are mistakes made. It's okay, we are all human but geez la weez, y'all are RUDE!! I served in the industry for 8 years and have definitely made mistakes, but y'all are RUDE! 3. I walked in to check in what was happening (with no water or drinks) after an hour plus after all of us were waiting for our tabs then they blamed US for the wait! They couldn't figure out tabs. My group of pals are some of the nicest most patient people I know. I am so disappointed because the place looks awesome and should be. We waited for food for hours, everything took forever and not to mention the staff was so confused on simple tasks. My husband and I decided to just take the tab of $300+ to get out of there after 4 hours and we are all still trying to figure who owes who what with our friends. I took the Trophy husband out to dinner tonight for his birthday. We went downtown to Hello Monty. It was incredible. The Crispy Brussels sprouts appetizer were ridiculously good. I mean, who likes Brussels sprouts right? Our friends got the smoked salmon dip with Neidlovs fresh toast and everyone loved it. Great flavor. The husband had the salmon which he ate all of and said it was delish, and I had the 1/2 chicken, which I had to bring half of it home after eating all the Brussel sprouts. One friend had the charcoal roasted pork tenderloin and commented on how good the seasonings were and how tender it was. Another got the special of shrimp with creamy risotto and ate it all. Another friend got the CHARCOAL ROASTED BONE-IN RIBEYE* 20oz steak, miso compound butter, maldon sea salt which was huge and perfectly cooked. The wait staff were all very good, everyone seemed to be helping each other with all the tables. The kitchen is behind a huge window so make sure you get a table close enough to watch them. The bartender was excellent and very helpful. The only thing bad about the whole evening was I only got to have 1 glass of wine when I really needed 2 but the trophy hubs thought I might become a handful. Try the place. It's great. Hello Monty was a breath of fresh air. We have lived in Chatt for 9 years now and have recently ventured out to Southside. We were excited to come here and our expectations were more than exceeded! Went there on a Friday at 4pm. Obviously it is slow time. Only few tables occupied but did start getting busier by the time we left. There is outside seating but it was so hot. Interesting menu and there were 3 appetizer items discounted as it was happy hour. We tried the chicken wings. The quantity was appropriate for the price. The wings had a thick rub was amazing with a balance sweetness and heat. We tried the flat bread with romenesco spread which was a tomato sauce serving with next to it roasted garlic cloves. These to item come in a cup and hot flat bread separate so costumers spread the toppings on the bread. I prefer if toppings already on the bread at presentation. Plus the tomatoes sauce was not hot so had this appetizer been presented differently with the sauce and garlic cloves on the bread and had a quick 1 minute bake it would have been a home run. There are good variety as far as entrees and good sides options. We tried the cheese burger and the half chicken. The cheeseburger was 8oz total with 2 beef Patties on a soft bun topped with mushroom and greens and comes with a side of greens salad. The burger is juicy as far as meat. It was good but not with $15 compared to other gourmet burgers in same category. The half chicken comes cut in at least 4 pieces with yogurt roasted garlic, handful of cilantro on top, and picked onions. I prefer if the hall chicken was not sliced there are enough topping items that needs to be collected to have a bite. So, the taste and flavors combinations is amazing and the chicken so juicy and had a nice crispy skin. The plate looks greater. It just putting things together little cumbersome. So recommendation is keep all ingredients as the taste is great but present little different. My favorite item best done and presented in my opinion is the surge of roasted potatoes that come with an amazing garlic aioli. These potatoes are split in halves and roasted so well crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The portion is as listed large so good for sharing. We could not finish so took rest home. Overall great experience. We would definitely return to try more items. Service is great and decor is relaxing. read more

We had a family dinner at Hello Monty's on a Sunday evening and it was absolutely fantastic! The atmosphere was hip, the service was excellent, but the food is Hello Monty's the shining star. For starters we had Brussel sprouts and tomato toast. Now, I am not a Brussel sprout fan, to say the least, but these little gems tasted like candy. The tomato toast and cast iron beer cheese dip were fabulous too....but those Brussel sprouts!. Several of us had hamburgers which you can order "pink" or "no pink". They actually came out perfectly cooked and were juicy and delicious. No well done hockey puck burgers served here, unless that's what you prefer. My husband had a cup n char pepperoni which he enjoyed. For dessert we had an apple crisp and a S'mores dish. They did not disappoint. The guys had some beer and they loved it. I am so glad we found this place, as it's my new Chattanooga favorite restaurant! read more
