The West Coast Steak Sandwich was delicious. It was cooked perfectly. I got it with a side of crispy jalapeno potatoes. The potatoes were flavorful. I tried my husband's steak and it was really good. It was cooked the way my husband ordered it. He ordered his steak with a side of crispy jalapeno potatoes as well. As part of my husband's birthday celebration we ordered a slice of the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cheesecake. The cheesecake was so good. It tasted exactly like Cinnamon Toast Crunch. From the very beginning, I worked with Tra, the event coordinator. He did an amazing job and was incredibly patient with me because I can be a little picky and indecisive! He listened to what I wanted, answered all my questions, and always guided me in the right direction. Everything came together beautifully. Heaven was the lead on the day of the party, and she was fantastic--warm, helpful, and always making sure everything ran smoothly. Everyone we encountered was so kind and welcoming. Cale was our server, and he truly went above and beyond. We kept him very busy with a party of 25, but he handled it all with a great attitude. He was hardworking, personable, and just an incredibly nice guy. The food and drinks were amazing. I only wish I had been able to eat more myself, but all of our guests raved about everything! Most importantly, my husband was genuinely surprised, and everyone had a wonderful time. Catarina, the general manager, followed up with me afterward to make sure I was happy with the service and how everything went. She was amazing as well, and I truly appreciated her taking the time to personally check in with me. The atmosphere was fun and lively, and the entire event was exactly what I had hoped for. I highly recommend Culinary Dropout for a private event--especially working with Tra, Heaven, Cale, and Catarina. I had a pretty disappointing experience at Haywire today. I brought my girlfriend in, and after putting our name on the waitlist, the host told us it would be about 15-20 minutes. After waiting around 40 minutes, I went back inside to check and was told we would be seated next. We then waited another 20 minutes before I finally walked back in and stood near the host stand until we were seated. Once we were taken to our table, we were put in a small back room that honestly felt more like a meeting room than part of the restaurant. There was a TV set up in the room, and a broom and dustpan were sitting right next to our table. What made it more frustrating was that we had walked past several empty tables on the way there after waiting over an hour. The food itself was fantastic, and that was definitely the highlight of the visit. I also want to give credit to the gentleman in the cowboy hat who came into the room and made the space feel more like an actual restaurant. He noticed the cleaning supplies next to us and removed them, which I really appreciated because it showed he cared about the guest experience. Unfortunately, the service after we were seated was lacking. We barely saw our waitress. I had to go to the bar myself to get my girlfriend some ice, and later had to ask a busser to help get our waitress so we could order another drink. I also had to ask for a steak knife after trying to cut a $50 steak with a butter knife. This was not our first time at Haywire, and we have had exceptional experiences here before, which is why this visit was so disappointing. Overall, we felt pushed aside and ignored, and honestly it felt like we may have been judged because of our age. If it weren't for the outstanding food and the gentleman who clearly cared enough to step in, this would have been a much worse experience. I still enjoy Haywire and know they are capable of much better, but this visit missed the mark. (Also never the type to leave a bad review pretty easy going) read more

Brunch at Haywire absolutely exceeded my expectations from start to finish. We were seated on the second floor and let me tell you the view was incredible! On top of that, our server was amazing, attentive, friendly, and made the whole meal even better. Every single dish we tried was mouthwatering. The kolaches and queso were addicting that we had to place a second order of them, and the chips and queso were just as impressive. I personally had the chicken and biscuits with gravy, topped with a fried egg, and it was phenomenal. The potatoes were cooked perfectly, lightly crispy, full of flavor, and sliced just right (not too thick, not too thin) the most disappointing moment was when I took my last bite! The drinks were a solid 10/10. I had a tequila old fashioned, a whiskey old fashioned, a second a whiskey old fashioned but with a Texas pour, and a Mexican martini, and each one was crafted perfectly. What really stood out was that everything our table ordered was mouthwatering outstanding! There wasn't a single disappointing dish. Paired with great company, it made for an unforgettable brunch. The food was genuinely good, and the ambiance of the restaurant was beautiful; definitely a nice spot for a special occasion. Unfortunately, the service didn't match the setting. Our server, Cody, seemed disengaged and uninterested from the start. There was no acknowledgment of my husband's birthday, which was disappointing given the reason for our visit. He didn't check in on us during the meal, and we were left waiting quite a while just to receive our check. Ordering is pretty simple: you order at the counter, they give you a number and then they bring the food out to your table For food, I ordered the fried fish, fries and popcorn shrimp and everything was delicious. They give you plenty of food. So much that I had enough left over to take home a to-go plate with me. And let's not forget that they have daiquiri machines so you know I had to treat myself! Let me tell you, that daiquiri it was good and STRONG. lol It definitely added to the experience. I also learned that they host brunch with live music which I thought was really cool addition to their services. Overall I truly enjoyed my time at Saltt. The food was great, the atmosphere was welcoming and the having a chance to meet and speak with the owner made my time there that much better. I'll definitely be back. Make sure you check them out!

For entrees ordered steak and eggs, and the half order of shrimp and grits bowls were also outstanding with our Hugo spritz drink. The restaurant was definitely wheelchair accessible and I was able to fit underneath the table comfortably a huge plus I highly suggest going to this restaurant. The ambience was definitely great.
