I decided to meet a friend that lives downtown Austin for some ice cream at the The Baked Bear, a frequent hang out spot for her and my first visit. The Baked Bear is located in the Seaholm complex between Cesar Chavez and 3rd Streets near West Avenue. After a couple of samples, I decided on Blackberry Crumble. Our server was so sweet and kind including suggesting some of the shop's favorites. OMG the ice cream was so smooth...so flavorful...so absolutely delicious to eat. Horrible costumer service, I'm writing this as we are experiencing COVID-19 all establishments are only doing TOGO orders, so we were excited of going to Hay Elotes. We walk right in, there's nobody in there, just the young cashier, she didn't say hi, she just looked at us and continued typing something in the register. Ok no big deal, we take 2 minutes to look at the menu, still no greeting or no words from her. We go literally in front of the register and still she is typing something at the register, we were in front of her literally for 5 minutes... no words from her, not even a "Sorry, I'll be right back with you guys" or "how can I help you?" NOTHING, just her typing at the register. One of the other girls that works there comes and same thing she just ignore us. To add this, the girl at the register has her face mask on top of her ponytail, instead of wearing it. I came here to try to birria tacos with the consome and it was delicious. I spoke to the owner to see if they can cater for a bday party of 25 people and they exceeded the expectations.
