I had my roof replaced April 2021. It leaked the first winter and now, the second winter I have water dripping into my office. I filed a claim with my homeowners company. Harley was supposed to finally come out last week ,but no show!!! Really a terrible company! Shady Cheap Car Lot in the guise of an Exterior Company! I, like many signed up for a "raffle" and got the sales call the next day. I agreed to have the sales guy at and lets just say he's very good at what he does, sales. I say that because after the sale, you'll never here from him again and aren't allowed to talk to him or address his "promises". No they'll pass you through 2-3 other people for that. Sales are 100% salesmen, not customer service of any kind. So they want your buck at whatever lie or cost, no worries them they'll never see you again. Installers will arrive, when they feel like it. Won't give an accurate time frame of finish, will take many breaks in full view of you wondering what they are doing on lunch/cigarette break #4. Then they'll come back to FINISH the job, "maybe Thursday, but if not then Friday for sure". Well that's because they have other jobs to do. Your slider will be crooked and job be unfinished, but wait, there's more! They'll damage your siding and crack part of it. What they don't just leave behind they'll replace with plywood and leave as is, without telling you. (Hard to notice on initial inspection when its dark outside). The fun only starts here. Trying to get a hold of anyone other than financing is like pulling teeth. This is where the skeezy car company feel comes full force. There are project managers and all sorts of people you'll talk to that won't be of help and are clearly annoyed they have to speak with a customer. Eventually they'll send someone out to look at the terrible job. I got James, he's awesome, I hope he finds a better company to work for soon. James recognized the crummy job and took his notes and talked about coming out "soon' to fix the plywood with siding, paint, and straighten the slider. Awesome, right? After 3 weeks of chasing down people through phone calls, I finally get someone out to see the problem and work on fixes... NOPE. Over a week after James came out I still got no word from my Project Manager Janet, whom I don't think enjoys customer interaction much as her response was: "They were just talking about that yesterday!!" Yes she had two exclamation points. She also didn't tell me when they'd be out to fix. Then she explained to me that I would have to paint the trim to match the color I have now, she put two question marks on that which I don't understand, but she said I would have to paint as "they are not painters". Turns out, I also am not a painter. I was not informed I would have to fix parts of my house that her installers broke. Worst of all of this was the absolute lack of common customer courtesy or communication. Once the sale is made you become an inconvenience. I am in sales and I'd be fired if I treated any of my customers as Janet treats people or act like Chris the sales go. My last email to them simply questioned if this is all company policy or do they just have poor employees? DO NOT GO WITH THESE GUYS! Also the heat-lamp ump to the window sales ploy is an outright lie. read more

Haven't done business with these guys but today I got a sales call from them because apparently I filled out a contact card at a home show almost two years ago (think about the shelf life on those things before calling, guys.) When I explained politely to the guy that we were no longer interested, he pressed me for an explanation (which I don't have to give) and then hung up on me. The installers arrived in the first 30 minutes of their 2 hour arrival window and got to work right away. They cleaned up after themselves and were respectful of our home. We had two giant custom windows, two sliding windows, and a sliding glass door with a dog door installed. They were done within 5 hours. When we told our families, they were suprised thinking it would be a multi-day install. They had us double check everything was to our liking before heading out and we were in love. We are so happy to have new, safer, more efficient windows and back door (which our dog loves)! read more

Stay far, far away. I've interacted with a wide range of window companies trying to find a good product at a reasonable price. Harley *by far* is the sleaziest company I've encountered. They won't provide any information (not even pictures or specifications) of their windows without a sales visit to your house. They only sell a single model and emphasize that they are the ONLY place to buy this WONDERFUL window. They refuse to visit unless you commit 90 minutes AND ensure your spouse attends even if they are completely uninvolved in the decision-making process (this is the same thing timeshare sales people do). And their windows are low quality, bulky frames, and have ugly lines on the exterior that does not match Seattle's typical Craftsman styling. They only sell triple pane with very poor light transmission, even if the windows get little to no direct sun exposure and we're in a very mild climate, so it will darken your house for little-to-no energy savings. Window World had similar or slightly better quality windows with a MUCH more honest and candid sales pitch at a small fraction of the price. I won't be buying theirs either because I'm looking for something with thinner frames (and smaller tolerances, ideally), but I'd pick them over Harley any day. read more

This company is dishonest, manipulative and predatory. We had Harley exteriors come out to give us a quote on a new roof. The visit took three hours. The entire time the representative was polite, and very nice, but almost robotic in his presentation. He was going to "sell" us on every aspect of their company and their product. At the end, the quote we were given was $72,000. The quote was written out on a legal pad, was a singular number, and the rep refused to itemize the quote. We we were also told we HAD to finance the roof through their lender. Then the rep asked if we were ready to sign a contract with them, right then and there. When we said "no," we wanted to get some other quotes, they lowered the price, $6,000. We said "no" again. Harley rep: "well, you are in luck, we never do this." They lowered the price $6000, again. The rep then told us that once they left our house, the offer to lower the price, was no longer an option. We were polite, and thanked him, and he left. Since that night, we have gotten 3 quotes. Every single quote we have gotten, has been $50,000 less than Harley Exteriors. The last company, who we decided to go with, was $60,000 less than Harley Exteriors, for the EXACT SAME PRODUCT AND INSTALLATION. One week later, Harley Exteriors has called me 9 times. I spoke to their sales manager this evening. He offered to match the quote we got, from the company we are going with. I told him I was appalled that they wasted our time with their initial quote and presentation. Do not use Harley Exteriors. In fact, beware of Harley Exteriors. read more

However, the cost of the product and the sales pitch was too much! Like four hours and $36,000 for 9 windows too much! I about keeled over when I heard how much Harley charges for their windows! For that price I expect to get gold plated frames or something! The sales rep was thorough and helpful when understanding the windows and how the whole process went. They did take a while at our home but honestly this was a big investment and I would have not wanted it any other way. The install was awesome. The gentleman that came was professional, and you could tell he took pride in his work and was careful about each demo and install. I was incredibly pleased with the install day and the fact that there is not debris anywhere in my home and it was like he was never here- except for my beautiful new windows!! My only desire is that the project manager call the week of or day before to just confirm/remind of the window install day- it would have been nice as you book your install out a month+. read more

My experience having my windows replaced by Harley Exteriors from the time I was first introduced to the product and provided a sample and demonstration of the windows to the completion of the installation was very positive. The quality of the windows and the work they performed to replace my old single pane windows, the clean up including the final touches of adding the additional strips of wood and caulking to ensure they were sealed was top notch. I fortunately had the worked scheduled before the cold front came in and it certainly was worth it and helped keeping the heat in. Excellent craftsmanship. read more

Quality of window for the price is what sold us, the job their team did was superior than what I have seen, and will keep us going back. The team was polite, professional and they watch every wall and never hit one. They cleaned up all after themselves and closed the front and back door for minimal heat loss. I called Harley Exteriors for a window replacement estimate, for 3 windows in my basement. The two stars are for their fast responsiveness. They are very communicative. However when the sales guy came out he went to do this whole sales pitch. We asked him to get to the point. We had explained all of our criteria clearly. Finally he measured our windows, and it didn't appear he recorded anything. We kept pressing for an estimate which we assumed he would need to go away and send. Instead, as if making it up out of his head, he showed us a number that was frankly laughable. I have had windows replaced before and the number he gave us was literally more than double and almost triple the number we received from other reputable providers. Further, it was in not broken down to understand how he got to this number. Needless to say we went with another provider. Price gauging is not a good sales technique. read more

After sitting through the high pressure sales pitch, I bought the windows because the house needed them. I used the 1 year free offer from their financing company Foundation. The windows are ok - nothing special about them. I would neither recommend nor not recommend them. An unfortunate surprise -- About the lien on my title. It is going to cost me $250 for me to get them to agree to be secondary on the lien to my mortgage company in order for me to refinance. How frustrating can a business be! Pushy sales calls and do not take 'no' for an answer. I had a roof estimate a couple years ago and did NOT go with Harley Exteriors. I didn't like the way they were unprofessional and quote was extremely high. A week ago Harley Exteriors called me about my windows and how old they are. I said I was busy and could not talk to them. They then called 3 days later and asked to speak to my husband who was out of town. They called me a few days later and asked how old my windows were and when they could schedule an appointment. I told them I was NOT interested. They then said it was a free assessment and what time works best for me. I said not interested at this time. On the third time, I said not interested, goodbye! I only wish I had said take me off your call list. Not impressed and will never use them. read more

The presentation lasted almost 2 hours. He claimed they have better interest rates than my credit card yet wanted me to use my credit card for a down payment. Claimed that vinyl windows don't last that long, however, the one we bought from home Depot in 2006 and installed ourselves has no cracking no fading or sagging in triple digit heat for summer and low 20s in winter. After my wife and I told him we needed to think about it he got short with us and started messing on his phone instead of listening to what we were saying. We had two windows and a sliding door replaced just after Christmas. It is now mid July, and the job is not complete yet. The problems have been: 1. Wrong size windows installed. 2. Replaced windows not working properly. 3. Damage to drywall. 4. Nails sticking up on window sills. 5. Air leakage under window sill. 6. Dark brown caulking around windows & door when window & door frames, and abutting casings are almond color. 7. Getting them to return calls, and getting anything scheduled. The first installer didn't notice that the windows were the wrong size; 1 inch too tall, but he fought to put them in. They looked OK but then the window blinds were too short. They wanted to send the same person back to "fix the problem". After a month they conceded the problem was that the windows they provided the subcontractor were the wrong size. Another month and another person put in the right size windows. These, however, they didn't operate properly, there were nails sticking up in the window sill, and the caulking color around the windows and door didn't match either the frames or the wall. Finally, in May, the window manufacturer sent two people to adjust the operation of the windows. Harley then scheduled a crew to repair the window sills and caulking on May 21; they didn't show up when scheduled. They rescheduled for May 22. Again didn't show up. They set a new date of July 9th, and this time a sub-contractor did come and evaluate the work to be done. It is now July 19 and since they won't answer emails I can only leave another voice mail question asking when the work will be done. Throughout the whole process it has been extremely difficult to get calls or emails returned. We have had to explain all of the problems to seven different "project managers" I am also making a complaint with the attorney general and the Better Business Bureau. read more

Got suckered into buying when I had to make the decision right then or the "sale" wouldn't be valid. Seemed like good windows and all so I knew they would be more than cheap home-you-know-where. I probably spent half again if not double what anywhere else would charge. Total high pressure sale that should and did alert me. After You pay, they will not help at all. A cheap little locking device broke and they refuse to replace. I have talked with them at least 10 times and it's always new to them. We will send a tech- never comes. We will mail the part- never comes. They sure don't miss the opportunity to call and try to sell you something else though. One of the worst companies I've dealt with. Go anywhere else but don't pay for windows that you will never get fixed like they say. read more

Ok, this is pretty funny. We are remodeling two mobile homes in parks. I'm getting bids and they call telling me that most people buying their windows need to finance and they can't finance people in parks because the land is not owned This of course is due to Covid. The funny thing is we have demo guys tearing kitchens out, we have new siding being installed, and Empire is doing all the floors. We just wanted a partnership with a window company. I guess we are not worthy. This actually made my day. Sales 101 people. Don't prejudge. I will add, looking at the responses from management it all looks canned. They presented misleading materials, quoted me high, only offer one type of shingle, and did the hard-sales 'price goes up 15% when I walk out the door' BS. They called me to follow up and I told them I was not interested - three weeks later and I still get 3 calls a day from them, and they always leave the same pre-recorded voicemail if I do not answer. Can't speak to their craftsmanship, but their sales process is quite pushy and unprofessional. This was the second visit, the first saleperson couldn't have been nicer, but it was clear he wanted to close the sale for a $30k roof in a 90 minute conversation. Sorry, but I am not comfortable spending that kind of money without understanding and researching what you're offering. As a follow up, a second salesman came to my house, asked to come inside (it's covid, uh, no, it's beautiful out and we can talk outside), asked if my wife was going to join and when I said no (she's at work - we divide and conquer on home projects). The salesman stormed off and angrily said "don't call us again." Ironically, I was ready to purchase services, which makes it all the more obnoxious that he was so rude and unaccommodating - considering the pandemic. I used to work for a roofing manufacturer, and I understand the sales tactics for landing a roofing sale - but the rudeness and pushiness gives me enough motivation to encourage you not to call this provider. I'd be happy to talk the owner to provide feedback on my experience with Chris the "assistant sales manager". In my opinion, Harley Exterior is nothing more than a company of middlemen. They are mainly focused on getting more business through aggressive sales and advertising instead of by providing quality work and by giving good customer service. I advise anyone looking for renovation professionals to avoid dealing with them. My window replacement project with them had nothing but foul-ups from day 1. The salesman lied about the work crew - he assured me that they are all employees and have been vetted. But none of the crew who came to my house was a Harley employee and I doubt if the work crew is at all vetted. He said there will be a QA inspection on completion of the project, but there was none. There were more inaccuracies from the salesman but they were probably due to his unfamiliarity with the work to be done. Then, the schedule kept slipping because the project manager was never on top of things. She failed to engage with the foreman, did not order the windows on time and then ordered incorrect windows. There was a two month delay at first, followed by an unsuccessful installation due to incorrect windows, and then an eight month wait for the correct windows. On installation day, the main (bay) window won't fit and one of the other windows did not match the rest. During the eight month wait, progress updates were hard to get from the project manager. Instead there were a ton of excuses: the pandemic, IT problems at the manufacturer, and even a shipwreck. My calls were met with annoyance more than anything. I understand that the pandemic did cause some difficulties but I don't think the replacement windows were ordered at all until I filed a complaint with the BBB that may have gotten the attention of the owner who probably wanted to avoid bad publicity. On two of three days they were at my place, the foreman left in the middle of the day to attend to work on other sites. Had I not inspected at the end of each work day, bad carpentry work that was done after he left would not have been corrected. For example, his crew tried to cover a two inch gap on the top of a bay window with molding and the caulking on some of the other windows were improperly applied. On the final day of installation, the foreman arrived late and I had to initially supervise his crew. But he did stay until the end of the day, apparently to collect the final payment. (Now I know the reason why he kept leaving early.) There was someone else in a Harley Exteriors marked vehicle waiting curbside outside our property who I thought was the QA inspector, but he was just there to get the checks from the foreman at the end of the job. At one point during our10 month ordeal with Harley, the project manager assured me that I will be credited for the inconvenience. She probably was just saying that to get me off her back. They were only gave me an insulting $300 as credit, or 2% of the total cost. On a final note, I was introduced to Harley Exteriors by Angi (Angie's List). Yet when I submitted a negative review on Harley to Angi, my review was rejected. They claimed that they cannot verify my identity. This was despite the fact that I have been a member with them for more than 10 years who have submitted a number of fair reviews before. I cooperated and have provided them whatever information they ask for verification but they still refused to accept my review. I am not sure what the deal is but it makes me wonder if advertising level affects their ratings filters and if their ratings, which are based on reviews, can be trusted. read more

Well I'm just at the estimation and Job start phase. My home has 42 windows. They came by twice to try and make this project affordable. It's a big project. I have installed myself in past but never anything of this level. Vinyl windows with thickest glass I have seen. Lifetime warrenty even covers the screens if damaged...glass breakage etc covered. Lifetime transferable warrenty. There was a couple guotes similar but this seems to be the better of the two. Install is a few months away. But if they worked this hard for my job. Then maybe they Can empress me with install. Like I said prior do it yourselfer but just to much to handle....they made this affordable I'm hoping for an amazing difference in home. We hired Harley Exteriors June 2022. Our sales person Mr. JR Truijlo came to our house and gave us this full on presentation and hard close. We had to agree to the deal by the end of the night. One of the main reasons we hired Harley was based on the fact that there would be no inside demolition to our house and JR assured us of this. We signed up and paid JR our 50% deposit that next day. We then were informed that JR missed a window that was in our breakfast nook after my husband reiterated several times all of those windows needed replacement. That cost us an additional $2,500.00+. The next step in this process was Harley sending out their install team. Their install team arrived and reconfirmed there would be no inside demo. Now we are at installation day. They arrived and started installing and next thing we know is we are hit with an $8,500.00 increase to our bill for encasements and new trim and paint INSIDE our house. Harley finished the job and the windows did turn our very nice. We had been speaking with Ms. Angel Tabares who is their project manager. She asked us to get some bids for the paint and touch up work that needed to be done and that she would credit our account for the difference. That was a lie and never happened. We then realized we needed some additional windows done and we received the bill from Angel Tabares and it was 50% higher than what we had originally paid for our windows. We were asking Angel Tabares for an explanation on this increase and she was not able to provide one. We since have called, text, emailed their team with no solution to any of our simple asks. While Harley has a good product that is overshadowed by their horrible customer service and ethics. I would not recommend anyone use this company. I would call out Mr. JR Truijlo and Ms.Angel Tabares as two people that are especially unethical within the organization. Please do not use this company you will be lied to and hustled. read more

I started this process back in July of 2021. We were all the windows in the house and 1 sliding glass door. The original install date was supposed to be October of 21. Due to covid that got pushed back a month. No big deal i get it. Nov they show up to install the windows and door, all the windows are the wrong size. The only thing right is the sliding glass door. They install the door, and tell me they will put in a rush order to fix the problem. I start calling once a week from after Thanksgiving to now end of Jan 2022. Just found out my rush order was put in jan 17th 2022. Why did it take 2 month to order windows. Kristi my project mgr won't return any phone calls. Talked to the manager Lisa today hopefully she will get things going. Not happy with the total lack of communication from them. The process wasn't long, considering my upstairs house had 17 ver large windows, and one e completed was beautiful! Since the install we have noticed a significant change....no cold air from the windows, reduced noise and reduction of transferee heat from the sun! Highly recommend!!! read more

BAD, AWFUL, TERRIBLE - stay away. They take your money and then become extremely rude, unprofessional and unresponsive. It is a nightmare to deal with them.
